Super Template System In Marvel and Beyond-Chapter 244: Ultimate Spiderman
Chapter 244 - Ultimate Spiderman
The rooftop trembled as violet arcs of electricity danced across metal structures. Klaw stood center stage, claws humming with raw power, eyes locked on the floating figure before him.
Dave hovered in mid-air, arms folded loosely across his chest, cloak fluttering in the static-laced wind.
"You picked the wrong city to play pretend, hero," Klaw sneered. "You and that bug kid are nothing but walking target practice."
Dave tilted his head. "Hero? That's... generous. But sure, let's go with that."
Klaw roared and lunged, claws slashing through the air, surging with electromagnetic fury. The rooftop lit up with the discharge.
"Tier 1—Fire Blast."
A sphere of flame erupted from Dave's palm and collided with Klaw's charge.
BOOOM!
Smoke swallowed the rooftop. Klaw stumbled back from the blast, armor scorched but intact. "Cheap fireworks? That all you got?!"
Spider-Man landed beside a chimney, peeking around. "Okay, not gonna lie—that was cooler than anything I've seen from the Avengers in weeks."
Klaw dashed again, slashing low this time.
Dave didn't flinch. "Tier 2—Wind Shield."
The air warped around him, forming a transparent dome. Klaw's claws struck it, releasing a zzzt! and sparks, but the shield held. Dave floated back slightly, shoes not even touching the ground.
"You're starting to make this boring."
"I'll rip you apart!" Klaw roared, charging power into his arm as the claws reshaped into spinning electromagnetic blades.
"Uh, buddy," Spider-Man said from the sidelines, "he just no-sold your best move. Maybe try not rushing the floating wizard?"
Klaw ignored him and launched the spinning claws at Dave like guided missiles.
Dave sighed. "Tier 3—Wind Cutter."
With a simple flick of his fingers, blades of razor-sharp air shot forward, slicing through the incoming claws mid-flight. The broken pieces scattered harmlessly across the gravel.
Klaw froze mid-step, staring.
"What... are you?"
Dave gave a lopsided smile. "Just a guy with good timing and bad sleep habits."
Klaw growled and overcharged his suit, glowing with red-and-purple arcs. The rooftop lights flickered violently, and the very air seemed to buzz.
Spider-Man crouched defensively. "Oh, he's going final boss mode. I've seen this before. Usually ends with someone in the ER."
Dave hovered higher, one hand slowly raising.
"Tier 3—Flame Lance."
A burning spear of fire spiraled into existence above his palm, wrapped in condensed wind magic for speed and stability. The heat warped the night air around it.
Klaw lunged.
Dave threw.
FWOOOOM—
The lance pierced straight through Klaw's charge and detonated behind him, the explosion throwing him across the rooftop and into a billboard, embedding him in the middle like a broken Christmas ornament.
Spider-Man blinked. "Okay... that was terrifying. In a cool, mysterious-stranger kind of way."
Dave landed softly, his boots whispering against the gravel. "You should probably web him up before he short-circuits again."
"Right. On it," Spidey said, already slinging webs and muttering, "Note to self: get this guy on a team—any team..." freewebnoveℓ.com
Dave turned toward the skyline, eyes narrowed at the shifting electromagnetic residue in the air. His expression was unreadable.
"as expected of Ultimate Spiderman, he speaks too much" he muttered under his breath. "Figures."
"Hey," Spider-Man called as he secured Klaw. "Seriously... who are you? You're not one of ours. Not Avengers, not X-Men... not even a B-list street-level guy."
Dave smirked over his shoulder. "Just visiting."
And then—with a quiet hum of mana—he vanished into the wind.
Spider-Man stood there, staring at the empty air. "Okay... that was definitely the coolest thing I've seen all week."
"Spider-Man status report, who was that guy?" Fury's voice crackled through the comms, sharp and demanding.
Spidey rubbed the back of his neck, still staring at the now-empty rooftop. "I don't know," he replied, "One moment, he looked like some regular office guy just walking around in style—seriously, he had that whole 'I don't care, but I do' vibe going on. Then Klaw threw him at me and—boom—the next moment, he's floating mid-air like those magic users from the shows. You know, the ones with elemental blasts, gravity spells, fire and wind magic—that kind of weird."
Fury let out a long, irritated sigh on the other end. He was already getting a headache. "Just tell me this—do you at least know who he is?"
Spider-Man paused, then nodded slowly. "Yeah. I scanned him when he walked past. His ID pinged as Dave Garcia. Says he's a U.S. citizen, graduated from Howard, works at Google now. Nothing suspicious on paper."
Fury went quiet for a second. Then: "Google's got some hell of a dress code these days..."
Spider-Man shrugged. "I mean, he looked like he walked out of a GQ cover shoot, but nothing flashy. Until he started casting tiered magic like he was playing an RPG on nightmare mode."
Fury's voice was sharp again. "Keep an eye out. If he shows up again, do not engage. I want eyes on him first."
"Copy that," Spidey replied, already scanning the streets below. "But uh... if we're putting him on a list, might want to make a new category."
"What kind?"
"...'Magic-tier civilians with mysterious powers and no known affiliations.'"
"...Great," Fury muttered, already pulling up a blank S.H.I.E.L.D. profile file for "Dave Garcia."
Meanwhile...
In a small, cozy apartment high above the city, Dave stood by a window, coffee in hand, casually scrolling through his phone.
"...I really need to delete that old LinkedIn profile," Dave muttered, sipping his coffee.
A faint glow shimmered over his irises as a translucent system window appeared in his vision:
[ Magic Core Progress: Tier 2 ]
"This body is perfectly suited for magic," Dave mused with a hint of satisfaction. Within hours of forming his magic core, he had already advanced to Tier 2—a full two-circle magic core in one go.
"Hmm... with this core and mana siphoning from Environment" he said, leaning back into his chair, "I should be able to use the Tier 5 easily."
He exhaled softly, watching steam rise from his mug. The city buzzed outside his window, unaware of the anomaly quietly growing in power within its midst.
