Supreme Harem God System-Chapter 2009 [Trial Fo#!#@ @#$$#]
Chapter 2009 [Trial Fo#!#@ @#$$#]
"Is it done yet…?"
Nux, who woke up from a little power nap, stretched his body and walked towards his golem, who had been attacking the Eternal Warden the moment it revived.
The Eternal Warden was as weak as Nux expected. The only reason he even used the Bloodedge the first few times was because he was bored. Nux, however, could very much deal with this thing even with a normal sword.
He didn't have to use any of his Laws; he just needed to put a bit of his energy and get rid of this thing.
Since it was such a thankless task, he decided to use the Power of Genesis to create a golem who would attack this thing every time it was formed while he went to sleep.
The golem continued to push the time back by 10 seconds with each attack. Nux, who had woken up after a sleep, looked around and noticed that quite a lot of dead soldiers had returned to life. The battlefield that was littered with corpses looked somewhat clean now.
Nux could tell that at least eight hours had passed. However, he could also tell all of this would still take a long time, so this time, he gathered the Energy of Genesis and created another golem.
"Wake me up when it's done."
Yes, he went back to sleep again.
He couldn't even tell how many centuries had passed inside this place now. Without any rest and while his mind wasn't exactly affected, he still wasn't prepared to do something so thankless.
So he decided to sleep instead.
With his eyes closed, he thought about his wives and entered the dreamlands.
Time passed, days after days, weeks after weeks, months after months, and soon, decades had passed, yet Nux's golem still hadn't awakened him.
Nux, who was in a deep sleep, didn't notice, but there was only so long one could sleep for. Soon, Nux's eyelids fluttered, and he woke up from his sleep on his own.
"Who is th—"
He heard a voice as a woman got close to him, confused, but before she could complete her sentence,
Bzzzzzz
The Time Flow reversed, and the woman moved back.
"Huh…?"
Nux frowned.
Bzzzzzz
Once again, the Time Flow returned to normal, but before anything big could happen,
Bzzzzzz
It reversed again, sending the woman even further away.
"What the hell…"
Nux frowned.
He looked around and realized the battlefield had long disappeared. The desolate, dull ground had turned into a lush, healthy ground, and there was no sign of the Eternal Warden around.
"Where am I…?"
Nux questioned. He expanded his senses and quickly found the answer.
He was still on the same desolate battlefield, just that so much time had passed that everything around had changed.
He also saw his golem still killing the Eternal Warden, just that this time, they were about a few thousand kilometres away from this place.
"Huh…"
Nux let out a strange huff.
Then, he turned towards the golem who still stood next to him, prepared to wake him the moment the Eternal Warden died for good.
Nux placed his hand on the golem and started reading its memories, and soon, he got the answer.
During the battlefield, the Eternal Warden was here. However, when his golem got rid of the smoke source using the Time Reversion, the Warden simply latched itself to another source of smoke.
This continued for decades, with the Warden continuously attaching itself to different sources of smoke time and time again.
Nux didn't know whether it was a coincidence or not, but the world they were in seemed to have a constant supply of smoke—be it a wildfire, or some factory producing weapons or other artifacts, even a simple gas stove could be used as a source.
"So you are telling me…
I need to reverse time, by 10 seconds, till I reach the time before the fire wasn't even discovered?"
Nux blinked at the absurdity of all this. Soon, however, he realized something else,
"No, even before the discovery of fire, natural fires are a thing, and considering how absurdly large this world is, it is very possible to have at least one natural fire somewhere, all the time, all the way to… the very end of the world."
Nux couldn't believe it.
"Fuck."
He cursed.
So… he now needed to rewind time until he reached the point before this world was formed?
That could be millions of years!
Honestly, even if that was the case, it wasn't much of a problem for him since this wouldn't be the first time he would witness the lifespan of a world.
Just that… he would be looking at things from a very… different perspective this time.
"Nope, not doing that."
Nux shook his head.
He teleported in front of the Warden again and deactivated his golem, facing the Warden himself.
The Temple had given him his powers for this Trial, they must have some use. There was no need to kill the Warden using simple slashes or a golem; he could try some other things.
After all, he had quite a few ways to kill something and make sure it was actually dead.
The first thing that came to his mind was the Law of Absolute Death.
Very quickly, Black Mist surrounded the Eternal Warden and within seconds, all life was sucked out of him and he crumbled into pieces.
But…
It didn't work.
Bzzzzzz
The Hourglass glowed, Time was reversed, and the Warden revived.
Nux frowned, but he didn't give up. He used everything in his arsenal, starting with the Law of Absolute Devour, then the Law of Absolute Sword, or any other Absolute Law, but nothing worked.
Every time he got rid of the Eternal Warden, the Time reversed and he simply reformed again.
In frustration, Nux also tried to attack the Hourglass itself, but all his attacks simply passed through it, making Nux realize that it was only a projection and couldn't actually be attacked.
Even when he used his broken Complete Law of Absolute Space to create a Black Hole to erase the Eternal Warden's very existence, the Hourglass glowed, and the Warden came back.
In frustration, Nux also tried to attack the Hourglass itself, but all his attacks simply passed through it, making Nux realize that it was only a projection and couldn't actually be attacked.
"What in the hell is wrong with this Trial…"
He sighed.
Racking his brain to come up with a way—from everything that happened in previous trials, he did know there was always a very specific way to clear the trial and brute force was not the way to go—but right now, Nux couldn't come up with anything.
Yes, he was supposed to form a Law here that would help him clear the Trial, but no matter how much he thought about it, he didn't know what sort of Law he was supposed to form.
Usually, the answer was hidden in the very Trial itself, the surroundings, something of significance.
He looked around, and honestly, the only noteworthy thing he could think of was the huge Hourglass hovering in the air.
The darn thing didn't actually exist, it was only a projection that was just… there.
There had to be some meaning behind it, just that…
Nux didn't know what it was.
What Law could possibly be related to an Hourglass?
Was he supposed to learn how to reverse time?
He already knew that. He had complete control over the Time Flow after the First Trial. Let alone reverse, he could slow, hasten—he could do almost anything he wanted with the Time Flow and he highly doubted it could get any better.
'Do I… go against the Hourglass?'
Nux had a thought.
If both he and the Hourglass had the ability to reverse time, did the Trial want him to resist the Hourglass's ability with his own?
Honestly, Nux highly doubted it—there were no records of a Trial like this in the book Tenzin had given him—but…
He couldn't think of any other way either.
'Well, it wouldn't hurt to try.'
Nux shrugged, then, with a wave of his hand, he cut the Eternal Warden in two, killing him in an instant.
Bzzzzzz
The Hourglass glowed and reversed the Flow of Time, Nux, however, used his own Law to Flow once again.
As if it was offended,
Bzzzzzz
The Hourglass glowed again, reversing the Time Flow again.
"Oh? You are going for it, huh? Let's go at it then."
Nux cracked his fingers and reversed the Time Flow again.
Bzzzzzz
The Hourglass did it again, so did Nux, then the Hourglass, then Nux, Hourglass, Nux, Hourglass, Nux,
The cycle continued almost endlessly.
BZZZZZZZZ
The Hourglass glowed much brighter than before, almost as if it was roaring in anger.
"Bring it on!"
Nux didn't back down either.
Yes, he was now fighting a literal projection.
Things long years without your wives do to you~
Of course, no one else was here to sigh at Nux's behaviour. The battle between Nux and the Hourglass continued, Nux used as much energy as it took, using his absurdly high energy reserves. The Hourglass's energy reserves seemed quite high as well.
No one knew how long this continued for, but for Nux, it was getting more and more difficult, until finally,
He lost it and,
BOOOOOOOOOOOOM
He unleashed his Aura.
Yes, the Aura of a Universe was unleashed and suddenly,
[Trial Fo#!#@ @#$$#]
The Temple Screen faltered.
