Chapter 3: Reflections and realizations

Long Tian stood under the shower, allowing the water droplets to drench his hair and cascade down his pale skin, bringing tranquility to his physical and spiritual being.

This transmigration was truly unexpected. The memories in his brain became increasingly clear, and he understood the cause of his death when he was still on Earth - it was due to an earthquake while he was vacationing in Hawaii.

Wiping the water from his face, Long Tian deeply reflected on his fate in this world.

This novel world was incredibly vast, with a theme of Cultivation and monsters roaming the forests.

But what was interesting was that not only cultivation, everyone could also awaken something called Martial Spirit when they reached the age of 18.

It was a power that represented a creature or special force. Examples were some famous martial spirits in this world, such as the white tiger or past warriors.

Individuals possessing a white tiger martial spirit could have physical resistance or agility akin to a white tiger.

Or another example, a famous character in this world, the leader of Shusan sword school, who possessed a martial spirit of an ancient swordsman named Jian Yi. Legend has it, he could split the sea with his finger.

Long Tian wasn't too worried about martial spirits. He knew the future and certainly knew what his martial spirit was.

It was an ancient dragon which was indeed the representation of his family, Long, which meant dragon.

Even though it fell within the category of rare and powerful martial spirits, he always lost to Qin Chen. After all, faced with great fortune, anything would lose.

But there wasn't a shred of inferiority or fear in Long Tian.

"I will definitely kill him," he declared.

The martial spirit awakening test would be conducted shortly, and it would give him a greater opportunity to deal with Qin Chen.

A few minutes later, he finished showering and stepped out of the bathroom.

But he suddenly halted in front of the mirror, unable to hide his smile.

He stroked his chin and smiled contentedly, "Damn, this face is so handsome. Even looks more handsome than before, I think?" He said, grinning.

His face remained identical to when he was in his previous life. Of course, handsome.

With fair skin and a symmetrical face, combined with slightly long hair, he looked extremely attractive.

Especially with red pupils and a somewhat muscular body that wasn't too skinny. Everything was perfect.

"With this good-looking face, I shouldn't have to complain about anything," he said with a grin.

After admiring himself for a while, Long Tian finally exited the bathroom.

But as he closed the door, he froze on the spot when he saw Li Yue'er sitting on his bed.

"What are you doing here?" Long Tian asked, furrowing his eyebrows.

"Mmmh! Mmmh!" Li Yue'er only grumbled because there was still tape over her mouth.

"Oh, I almost forgot about that," he said, slapping his forehead.

He then approached Li Yue'er and removed the tape from her mouth.

He felt even stranger seeing Li Yue'er's frightened expression and tear-filled eyes. He certainly didn't expect Li Yue'er to be here. It seemed his subordinates misunderstood, thinking Li Yue'er was 'his woman'.

"You're a bastard!" Li Yue'er immediately exclaimed.

"I'm glad you're praising me," Long Tian grinned.

Li Yue'er grew more fearful seeing Long Tian's grin. This was the first time she'd been kidnapped by someone, and at this moment, she was alone with him and he was only wearing a towel.

"Long Tian, you can't do this. I-I'm the young lady of the Li family, and doing this is the same as offending them!" Li Yue'er threatened earnestly.

But hearing this, Long Tian just smiled. He stretched out his hand and touched Li Yue'er's chin, lifting it slightly upward.

"Do you think they care about you? Li Yue'er, you're not even Old Li's favorite child. Your father has 4 children and the one he loves the most is Li Bang, not only because he is the eldest and talented, but he is a male. Do you think your father will come and defend you?" Long Tian asked provocatively.

Li Yue'er's expression fell instantly. Everything Long Tian said was indeed true. Her father was a patriarch who wanted his descendants to inherit him, and that had to be a male.

No matter how hard she tried, her father didn't care about her. Even when she achieved the rank 1 in class and became the head of the student council, her father still didn't care.

"But don't worry, Li Yue'er, I won't do anything to you. As the saying goes, it's hard to convince a fly that a flower is more beautiful than a pile of garbage," Long Tian said, smiling.

"Then, why did you kidnap me?" Li Yue'er asked.

"I will show you," he said, walking forward and starting to untie the rope that bound Li Yue'er's hands.

But Li Yue'er saw this as an opportunity. Her eyes narrowed, seeing the opportunity arise.

And when the rope around her hands was untied, she immediately ran to the window and jumped.

Crack!

The window glass shattered, and she plunged down.
