Claudia had been happy all morning after finally stealing her document from Alanis and her stupid sister. She will never let anyone find out about the truth. A truth that can change everything.

The document being with Harlow was the only thing that gave her sleepless nights for days now. She thought her stupid sister would find out about it, but she didn’t. Truly, Harlow is so blind and stupid.

Claudia was glad to have finally stolen it. Elisa had already promised to never let anyone know about the truth, and Bodhi had made the same promise too.

These were the only people she felt knew about the truth.

"Hahaha." Claudia giggled at her thoughts finding it hard to restrain the excitement she felt inside.

"Well, you’ve lost Harlow. It’s time to get you and your stupid father out of our lives once and for all." She muttered beneath her breath as she headed for the dining room, her heels clicking against the marble floor. Just like in the past, she would deal with both Harlow and Frank Blackwood.

Oh how sweet it would be to see the past repeat itself again.

As Claudia arrived in the dining room, she was greeted by Elisa, Bodhi, and Frank who were already engaged in a conversation. She smiled.

In the past, she would have been scared if Bodhi was here, but since they’d all come to a mutual understanding he was allowed to stay however he wanted. After all, he’s her father.

"Oh Claudia dear, please come join us." Elisa who saw her daughter said. She could see the excitement on her face and she wondered what was making her smile.

"Good morning Mother." Claudia greeted, her baby bump already turning visible and it worried Elisa what people would say if they found out she was pregnant before marriage.

"Good morning sweetheart," Elisa responded.

"How was your night sweetheart?" Bodhi asked, playing the role of the father he was, but someone else understood his sentiment in another way.

"She’s getting married too and is already pregnant Bodhi, get your eyes off my child," Frank warned.

"Oh forgive my misplaced words, Frank. I also see Claudia as my child, that was why I addressed her that way. I would never sexualize my child." He said.

"That’s alright. You both don’t have to fight over Claudia." Elisa cut herself in before more truths were spilled. One thing she knew about the man seated beside her was that he had loosed mouth and could spill the truth at any time.

Claudia found her seat as she looked around the table as if searching for someone. "Where’s Lia." She asked and at the same time, the door to the dining room opened to Lia walking in.

Lia had her fair share of beauty with the right outfit and makeup. She had a soft smile on her lips and a little letter in her hands as she stepped in.

"Who’s that?" Bodhi asked staring at the girl.

"That’s Owens Hamilton’s daughter. His only daughter." Frank said.

"Good morning everyone." Lia greeted politely and they all responded. She’s been living here for a month now and has taken the Blackwoods as her family too. After all, Claudia was going to be her sister-in-law soon.

"I got a letter from Mother for you Aunty." She turned to Elisa and handed the special letter to her. Elisa didn’t hesitate to open the letter and read it’s content.

"We’re invited to Charlotte Hamilton’s celebration of life after the accident," Elisa said with a smile.

"The Hamiltons will throw every party except Claudia’s wedding party, what’s going on?" Frank was the one who spoke this time.

It turns out he’s worried too. He was excited about having his first grandchild and, at the same time worried for his daughter’s future.

If the Hamiltons do nothing about Claudia’s pregnancy, people will definitely mock them for it. It was an everlasting taboo for a woman to get pregnant outside of wedlock. Such act was frowned upon by society.

Frank has always been someone who never cared about what people said, but recently, the news hasn’t been really friendly with him and has affected his relationship with everyone around him.

Most people have distanced themselves from him after discovering his company had gone bankrupt and that he had sold it out.

Soon he would be dethroned as the richest man in the world. But who would take his place now?

"They sent an invitation and an apology. Garth said the wedding would be done after Charlotte Hamilton’s celebration." Elisa said. She had ignored the apology part before.

Both she and Garth wanted a grand wedding for their children that’s why they had been nonchalant about rushing the wedding but since Claudia’s baby bump was already showing, it was time they did something really fast.

"You have nothing to worry Uncle Frank. Mother is planning a grand wedding for Claudia." Lia said like her word would change anything.

"But they can be married, aside from a huge celebration and parties," Bodhi said for Elisa to frown.

"What do you know about marriages Bodhi." Elisa eyed him.

"He isn’t wrong." Frank chimed in. "Let them get married and a grand celebration comes later. We cannot keep waiting." Frank said. "If the Hamiltons don’t have any money, that’s not a problem, I can arrange my daughter’s wedding myself." He said proudly. freewёbnoνel.com

Claudia has never felt more proud of her father. This is why she would pick Frank to be her father in a million years to come.

She didn’t want a wedding that wasn’t bigger and better than that of Harlow. Though Harlow’s wasn’t really an extravaganza, since Alanis didn’t love her, but hers must be better.

"Mother, I think father’s right. We can go to the civil affairs to get married and then we can have the grand wedding party after that." Claudia said.

She had planned the same thing with George and he agreed, but a lot happened that ruined their plans.

"Alright, we’ll do whatever you want," Elisa said.

While they chattered and ate together, a familiar proud figure arrived in the mansion.

"Where is everyone?" Harlow asked the butler who came to greet her.

"In the dining room Miss Harlow. I shall inform my boss of your arrival." Everyone in the Blackwood mansion now feared Harlow after the humiliation she had caused Elisa and her daughters. The news hasn’t left their lips since a few days ago.

"No, need, I’ll go greet him myself." The man bowed before walking away.
