When morning came, Harlow rolled on the soft mattress spreading her arms and legs as she buried her head deeper into the softness. Her nose twitched the the sweet smell of roses. Alanis’s good morning gestures have become a part of her life because why was she perceiving roses when there were no roses in this room?

That stupid man... Her face contoured to disgust as she thought of him. The sheer thought of him alone can change her mood in the blink of an eye.

He had successfully invaded her life, now he was invading her favorite scent too. Harlow’s frown deepened. It would take her a while to get that man off her head and thoughts for good.

It’s a good thing she came here, he would never be able to find her ever.

"Are you having a nightmare?" Harlow paused. She was even hearing his voice right now? What has Alanis done to her? Why does everything keep reminding her of him?

"Are you awake my villain, let’s go back home." Her eyes flew open immediately. Maybe she was overthinking, maybe it was time she did some exercise or took a breath of fresh air to clear her head.

She can’t be hearing things from that man. But as Harlow opened her eyes, she was greeted by roses decorated all over the room. There was not a part of the room without a rose.

Harlow shook her head in denial, there’s no way Alanis must have found her, he couldn’t have found her all the way here. She had made sure to hide as far away from him as possible.

How did he find her?

"It’s not a dream my villain, let’s go home." She turned her head to the side where his deep voice stemmed from and there he was. Alanis was dressed in his signature attire, a black shirt, and trousers, matching his dark attitude.

How had he found her? Who dare betray her?

No one knew she was here except Richie, did he tell Alanis in some way?

"You rejected staying at the mansion for this?" His eyes darted around the room before settling back at her. Harlow stepped out of bed, even if he had found her, she would never go anywhere with him.

He must think he has won but she’d show him he hasn’t. He will never win against her.

"This place is way better than whatever mansion you’re talking about. I’d rather die than go back with you." She walked past him and was about to step into the bathroom when Alanis grabbed her wrist, and with swift movements, Harlow felt her back clash against the door in a not-so-harsh way.

Alanis placed both hands by the side of the wall as he trapped her between himself and the wall. This little woman was making him lose his patience.

Couples fight all the time but every little chance she gets she always wants to be as far away from him as possible.

"Be careful what you wish for my Villian. Don’t forget you don’t have a say when it comes to our relationship yet." He leaned closer, his eyes on her lips.

Harlow frowned at his words, he was pulling his favorite card. The one she hated the most. But not anymore, whatever punishment he was going to give her ends this week. This time, she’ll make sure she never makes any mistake to implicate her.

"I’m not going back with you," Harlow said firmly fighting so hard to ignore the hot breath that fanned her lips. Alanis’s dark eyes were solely on her green once but she ignored him.

"Did you forget your press conference today my sweet villain?" He asked and Harlow’s eyes went wide a little. Of course, she had forgotten. She wasn’t always online to know she’s the hottest topic right now in Halkhalls.

Harlow had just revealed buying her father’s company. While most people saw it as all shades of wrong, others loved the idea.

There was a series of discourses online about her actions and Claudia wasn’t making things any easier. So early, she had already started crying online saying she felt wrong and that Harlow was a terrible person.

"Then let’s go." Harlow tried to walk away but the man before her didn’t look like he was ready to let her go.

"So what?" She said.

"So..." He drawled his hands coming to her lips as his thumb brushed against her lower lips. She shuddered. "I need compensation for all of the stress you caused me. Do you know how hard it was to sleep alone in that humongous room?" Alanis asked.

What was her business if he had to sleep alone, he caused this to himself anyway. If he hadn’t gotten her so angry, she would have never left in the first place.

"W... We don’t have the time for your nonsense Alanis. I’m going to be late for the press conference." Harlow tried to sound reasonable. If she’s late today for the conference, it would ruin her reputation even more, she needed to clear her name from whatever allegations were being placed against her.

"The press conference can wait my villain? All that matters is what I want right now, give me what I want and I’ll let you go." Alanis said calmly.

"You got me upset yet here you are demanding a compensation." She shot back.

"The contract says you can’t stay away from me my villain. This is the price you’d have to pay for not killing me when you had the chance to." He leaned closer till his lips brushed against her.

Harlow held her breath, it’ll only be for a few seconds and after that, she’d be out of there.

One week Harlow... Just one week and we’ll never let this man close to you anymore. She said to herself.

Alanis’s lips brushed against hers again and this time he sucked on her lower lips. He retracted to stare at the already red woman staring back at him.

"Are you done? Let me go." She commanded.

"Who says I’m done?" He leaned in again, this time his kiss more desperate than the last as he dived deeper into her warm mouth sucking air from her lungs.

Alanis placed his hands beneath her night dress, his skillful hands moving up to her waist. Harlow gripped his hands when it got to her hips, "What are you doing?" Her hoarse voice rang in his ears.

"Kissing you." He tilted his head to the side and dived into her mouth again at the same time picking her from the floor. Harlow instinctively wrapped her thighs around him and in the next second, her back touched the soft surface of the mattress.

"You’re not supposed to do this." She placed her hands on his chest trying to stop him from moving further. Even if she had promised herself never to let this man close to her, she was losing control. It felt like her body was controlling her this time.

"Don’t worry, I’m not fucking you yet..." He drawled with a deep velvety voice, the one that made her shiver. "Not today." Before she could utter a word, he covered her mouth with his again, intertwining her hands together as his tongue dived deeper into her mouth.

Alanis thought he could stay a day without her, but he couldn’t. The thought of her being with another man made him lose control after every passing second. He hadn’t slept all through the night.

He had even visited Andrew and Layla like a madman looking for his missing wife but they had no idea where Harlow had gone to. Just when he thought he wouldn’t find her, a thought came to him and he went over to Richie’s apartment.

After his little threats, the man got scared and told his boss. But he warned Alanis never to let Harlow know he had told him about her. And Alanis was willing to keep that little secret.

He finally pulled out after stealing her breath away, his lips moved down to her body, teeth grazing her flesh through her thin night dress. Harlow bit her lips, forcing herself not to let out any sound. She refused to give him the satisfaction he wanted.

"Alanis..." She called out when his teeth grazed her nipples. He was going too far this time, but she couldn’t stop him. He had stolen the last bit of sanity she had, all that was left was a body dying to be pleased.

"Don’t say it like that, if you do I won’t be able to control myself anymore."
