Xia Qingtian was taken aback, turned her head to him. Seeing his intense gaze, the panic set in her heart. She thought he had believed Mary’s words. She couldn’t help but explain, “I am not pregnant, I just ate something bad… And I definitely did not fool around with my male colleagues. All of that is made up by Mary.”
Bo Jingyan looked at her clean face, his eyes undulating with something. After a few seconds of silence, he finally said lightly, “I believe you wouldn’t do those things.”

After dinner, Xia Qingtian took a car back home.
Thinking about the fact that she won’t be targeted by Mary anymore in the future, and the project could go on smoothly, her mood was absolutely splendid, she even had a much more restful sleep.
The few days following, after the department switched to a new project manager, the amusement park project that Xia Qingtian was in charge of started to progress very quickly.
From confirming the scheme to finalising it, it only took one week, pushing forward the progress by several levels.
Xia Qingtian was extremely happy and full of enthusiasm going to work each day.
One day, after getting through a whole day’s work and with closing time nearly upon them, Xia Qingtian stopped her work and started to pack up her things, planning to head home to finish up the final details of her project.
“Qingtian, we’re having a small team-building event in our department today, why don’t you join us?” Amy, who was watching her pack up, moved closer with a smile and said.
“Team-building event?” Xia Qingtian was taken aback, looking up at her.
“Yeah, isn’t tomorrow the weekend? We all decided to get together and have dinner and some karaoke tonight. If you’re free, why not join us?” Amy said smiling.

Xia Qingtian hesitated for a moment. She wasn’t particularly interested in this kind of gathering. But considering she would have to cooperate with the people in this department for a long time to come, would turning down their first invitation seem uncordial?
“Qingtian, do join us. You’ve been in the project department for a while now. It would be a good chance to allow everyone to get to know you better.” Seeing her hesitation, Amy took the opportunity to persuade her further.

Arriving in the private room, Xia Qingtian saw that a long European-style dinner table was set with six men and three women sitting around it, all were her coworkers. Some faces she recognized, some she didn’t.

A female colleague greeted her. Xia Qingtian gave a small smile and took a seat next to Amy.
Once all dishes were served, everyone began to eat and chat making the atmosphere around the table lively in no time.
“Qingtian, your project is progressing so smoothly, we’re all happy for you. Come on, let’s have a drink!” It was then that a fat, middle-aged man with gold-rimmed glasses got up, holding his wine glass, and proposed a toast to Xia Qingtian.
Xia Qingtian blinked, looking up at him, she didn’t recall ever seeing him before.
“Manager Xue is right, Qingtian you should drink!”
Soon enough, others started to join in the toast.
All eyes were on her.
With everyone’s enthusiasm, Xia Qingtian had no choice but to pour herself a glass of wine and took a few sips.
“Qingtian, you need to down the whole thing for it to count!” Seeing that she only finished half of her drink, Manager Xue spoke again.
With no other choice, Xia Qingtian drained the rest of her glass.
Everyone started to applaud, instantly lighting up the atmosphere of the dining room.
Xia Qingtian originally planned to drink only a little, but Manager Xue suggested to play a game, with the loser taking a shot of the drink. She was unfamiliar with the rules of the game. After five rounds, she lost four of them and basically spent the rest of the evening having drinks shoved in her face.
One drink followed another. The sensation of burning liquor started to spread within her throat, causing some discomfort.
After the final glass, Xia Qingtian felt a heat spreading throughout her body.
With her face flushed from drinking, she put her wine glass on the table, her vision was already so blurry that everything seemed to be doubling.
Amy noticed that she had gotten drunk. Seeing that someone was still trying to give Xia Qingtian more drinks, she quickly stopped them and said righteously, “Enough already, you guys have gotten Qingtian all drunk, she can’t drink anymore.”
In her muddled state, Xia Qingtian heard Amy deflecting the drinks for her. Her consciousness was gradually slipping, the dizziness in her head was getting worse and worse.
“Qingtian, are you alright?”Amy lowered her head and asked worriedly.
“Feeling dizzy…” Xia Qingtian frowned, touched her forehead with her hand, and murmured.
Upon seeing her reaction, Manager Xue walked over laughing and, pulling out a room card from his pocket, he said to Amy with a grin “Seems like Qingtian is drunk. Why don’t you get someone to help her to a room upstairs to rest? I’ve already booked a room.”
“Okay.” Amy accepted the room card, turned her head, called for a male colleague, and together the two of them helped Xia Qingtian out of the room.
Manager Xue watched their retreating figures, his gaze hardened, and a strange smile spread across his bulbous face.

It was hot.
So hot.
The heat was suffocating.
Xia Qingtian lied on a large bed, her body was unbearably hot.
Feeling somewhat uncomfortable, she frowned. In midst of the haziness, she felt someone tugging at her clothes.
This strange sensation made her very uncomfortable.
Her eyelashes quivered, she opened her heavy eyelids and found herself staring into the face of a strange man.
Xia Qingtian was rattled awake in an instant. She tried to push the man off but found him already on top of her, pinning her down!
“You’re awake?”
The man noticed she was conscious now. An eerie smile appeared on his face and he said with a deep voice, “This is more exciting when you’re awake.”
The second his voice trailed off, his hand reached over to start tugging at her dress again.
“Let me go!!!”
Xia Qingtian screamed in fright, kicking with her legs and shaking violently all over, terror clear in her eyes.
“Why bother pretending at this point? If you behave yourself, I might be gentle and considerate, make it more pleasurable for you.”
