Seeing that Tai’s gaze was lingering on the fight between those two cultivators, Fang Chen asked curiously.

“Do you know any of them?”

Tai shook his head before responding.

“No, but do you see that kid with the veil hat nearby? He’s actually a Divine Beast.”

“Divine Beast?!”

Fang Chen asked shocked while his gaze landed on Xiao who was some distance away from where Long Feng was fighting Zihan Cong.

As soon as Fang Chen’s gaze landed on him, Xiao felt a chill run down his spine. His head immediately snapped in the direction of the shuttle.

“Wh-Who’s gaze did that belong to?”

As Xiao mumbled that, cold sweat dripped from his forehead. He felt like a predator of some sort was just staring at him as if he was prey to be devoured.

Back on the shuttle, Fang Chen said again.

“You’re right, it’s actually a Divine Beast, I can sense a familiar feeling from him like Mo Rong.”

“Wait, you can tell that from this distance?”

The distance between their shuttle and where Xiao was standing was at least five to six hundred meters, with their shuttle getting further and further as they speak.

Was Fang Chen’s senses that sharp?

Fang Chen nodded and said.

“Yeah, I can.”

“Is it an ability from the inheritance Mo Rong left behind for you?”

Tai quickly came to a realization.

Fang Chen nodded again.

“I’m able to sense Spiritual Beasts' aura from within a large radius, though I now know it works on Divine Beasts as well. But I’m not too sure if this ability is amazing or not since it only works on Spiritual Beasts and now Divine Beasts. It’s not able to sense humans, which would make it ten times more useful.”

As Fang Chen explained his ability, Tai couldn’t help but comment.

“You seemed to have already gotten used to having a Divine Beast inheritance. Jun as well, both of you are truly amazing.”

Fang Chen only smiled in response to Tai's words.

As they were approaching the exit of the City, Fang Chen asked.

“Apart from Divine Beasts, can you tell me what’s so different about you and Little sister Xue? I’ve been wanting to ask you two this for a while now. You should know my ability doesn't work on you two.”

“Hmm”

Tai hummed in thought.

“No one in the group had ever questioned our existence before.”

Fang Chen hearing that chimed in.

“No one questioned you two even after Faction Leader disappear because it didn’t really matter. You two are still our friends and Faction Leader's…”

Fang Chen paused there, but Tai filled in his missing words. 𝑓re𝘦𝔀𝗲𝘣𝘯𝘰νℯ𝒍.c𝗼m

“We are Master’s pets, but he doesn’t treat us like that. Because of our human form he basically treats us like his younger siblings, and we’ve come to see him as our big brother too.”

Tai said those words with a warm smile on his face, but a tinge of sadness was hidden in his eyes.

“As for our existence, it’s a bit difficult to explain. We aren’t Divine Beasts but we aren’t Spiritual Beasts either. Our cultivation method is also vastly different from both.”

Fang Chen remained silent for a moment then said.

“The inheritance Mu Rong gave me was incomplete and I have to spend a great deal of time to even understand what remains of it. Is it perhaps the same for you and little sister Xue?”

“Somewhat.

“For some reason, our species inheritance is fading away, and even our bloodlines as well. It’s as if they were passed down for too long and they had now come to an end with me and Little Snow. If we were to have children, I really don’t think they would gain our inheritance or our bloodline.”

Fang Chen was listening closely to Tai’s words, but upon hearing his last sentence, he became slightly awkward.

“Haha, congratulations brother Tai.”

Fang Chen said that but Tai turned his head to look at him confused.

“Huh? What do you mean by that?”

Fang Chen didn’t answer, he only laughed.

As their shuttle pass through the grand formation surrounding the City, back inside, Long Feng was looking at the horizon where they left while clutching Zihan Cong’s neck.

Zihan Cong look like he was on the verge of death as his entire body was covered in injuries, with his clothes in tatters.

“Bastard.”

Long Feng cursed as he toss Zihan Cong to one side like he was a sack of potatoes. Because Zihan Cong interfered he was unable to follow that shuttle.

‘Damn it! From the looks of it, they’re heading in the direction of that Academy. Humph! I’m not returning there, if I have to see that arrogant fucker again then I might really kill him. To refuse my offer, he didn’t know what was good for him!’

Long Feng thought for a moment then came up with an idea.

Long Feng then began to look around at the crowd of people that had gathered because of the fight.

Seeing Long Feng suddenly looking around, everyone in the crowd took a step back in fear. They had just watched this person convincingly pummel a late-stage Core Formation Realm cultivator in a matter of moments. It was obvious he wasn’t so simple.

The people in the tavern that had thoughts of stealing Xiao’s gourd had completely pale faces and they didn’t hesitate to turn and run away.

Soon, Long Feng found who he was looking for.

“You.”

Long Feng pointed at Lan Yu Ze in the crowd as he said that.

Lan Yu Ze stepped forward, a smile on his face as he said with a bow. ƒr𝙚𝙚𝘸e𝚋𝐧૦ѵ𝒆𝒍.𝒄𝒐m

“Is senior brother in need of something from me?”

The address Lan Yu Ze had for Long Feng changed from fellow brother to senior brother. Despite his calm demeanor, he in fact was trying really hard to control his rapidly beating heart.

Only Lan Yu Ze who had the status he had realized Long Feng’s true strength.

Lan Yu Ze was able to glimpse the upper echelon of talented individuals on the Maple Continent, and he was frightened by the fact that he had never seen a Core Formation Realm disciple as strong as this veil-hat person.

He completely defeated someone of the same cultivation level without even getting a bit of dust or wrinkle on his robes.

Only a top genius had that type of strength, and Lan Yu Ze even speculated that this person could battle beyond his realm given the strength he just showed.

‘A Core Formation Realm disciple being able to fight against Nascent Realm existences? Isn’t this a similar talent as our Crown Prince and Li Shun of the Divine Star Academy when they were at this level? Is this person really of our generation?’

The only reason why Li Fu Wei, Li Shun, and Ling Tian were considered of a later generation than their peers similar in age to them, was because despite only cultivating for two decades, they had caught up in cultivation to some old monsters that have been cultivating for several hundred years.

They were considered the Three Peaks and never before seen geniuses of the Maple Continent for a reason!

So how can Lan Yu Ze keep calm upon knowing that there was this other monster he had never heard of standing in front of him that seemed to have similar talents to them?

As Long Feng slowly walked up to him, Lan Yu Ze kept his head bowed while sweat drenched his back.

“Didn’t you say you can get me a spot on that carrier? Do it.”

Long Feng had looked up information on Li Shen and found out he had formed a faction in the Celestial Academy. He also found out he had friends there that were so-called Chosens this sub-region had come with.

Long Feng was sure he would meet that thief's friends if he went on that carrier. If they wanted to search for him on other Continents it would be convenient to do it now as well.

Long Feng didn’t want to ask that scheming woman in the Mercenary Association for a spot on the carrier, so he could only get a pass to enter the ship like this.

‘Just you wait you little thief, I’ll follow your friends until I find you.’

Lan Yu Ze upon hearing Long Feng’s words quickly looked up at Long Feng blankly for a moment, but he instantly recovered and said.

“Of course, of course, senior brother doesn’t have to worry and you can leave it to me!”

Lan Yu Ze thumped his chest with his fist and he wasted no time in trying to suck up to Long Feng.

He didn’t know why such a person would need his help to get on the first carrier, but Lan Yu Ze was glad he could get close to him. His senses for treasures were tingling that this would lead him to a fortune!

‘He might not be from a major power, could he be from a small power and he had been hiding his talents up until now?’

Lan Yu Ze didn't write this off as an impossibility, just looked at the Second Prince for an example of this.

As Lan Yu Se speculated Long Feng’s identity, he took out his flying shuttle, and after the three boarded it, it shot off towards the Southern Border of the Continent.
