Chapter 1905: Dragonspine Trophy

Translator: Exodus Tales Editor: Exodus Tales

“…” Lu Li didn’t say anything about it. It wasn’t that he favoured Wandering, but the fact of the matter was that there wasn’t such a great responsibility on the vice tank.

This was so that the vice tank had more opportunities to become stronger.

After adjusting the team composition again, Lu Li made the requirements on everyone even stricter. According to his memory, their current composition was capable of defeating Gruul.

The first Boss focused on Strength, but the second Boss focused on cooperation.

High King Maulgar was more than difficult than Gruul in some sense. His four underlings, especially the Mage one, were likely to wipe the other clubs over and over.

On the contrary, Gruul was less likely to do this. As long as everyone cooperated, didn’t make any mistakes and could output enough damage, they would be able to deal with the Boss.

System: Congratulations to Ruling Sword and Drizzle Court for acquiring the First Clear on Gruul’s Lair.

Along with the Reputation and Skill Point gains, the World Announcement left the teams that were still in Magtheridon’s lair or being wiped in Karazhan confused.

Were Lu Li and the others still playing the same game? What was a Gruul?

“I have heard about Gruul’s Lair; it is in the Blade’s Edge Mountains. You don’t need a key and can enter it at level 70, but the monsters are too powerful. Our team couldn’t even defeat the smaller monsters.”

“I thought it would take a long time before anyone would fight Gruul. How could they have already gotten the First Clear?”

“I think Ruling Sword is cheating; this has to be a bug.”

“Let’s protest!”

“Please raise your hand if you think Ruling Sword is exploiting a bug.”

“Lu Li, will you sell your strategy? I am willing to pay high prices!”

“They’re already fighting Gruul… but even Karazhan is too hard…”

As a result, many parties left the Karazhan and Magtheridon dungeons and entered Gruul’s lair, a place where they would be doomed and reduced to tears.

They started by analyzing High King Maulgar for bugs. It wasn’t until a few days later when a Hunter accidentally cast Misdirection that there was a surge in popularity of players fighting Gruul. For the teams that were well-equipped, even if they managed to defeat King Maulgar, Gruul would quickly put them in their place.

There were two Skill Points, and the lucky ones who received them were very excited.

Then there was a gem, which Lu Li gave to Water Fairy. He didn’t need a gem like this for his weapons for the time being.

An Enhanced Skill Book was dropped, and it was a Warlock Skill. Lu Li gave this to Kitty Likes Meat.

For payment, she not only forfeited a great amount of DKP, but also her bidding rights for the next equipment. If she needed equipment for the competition, she could borrow it from someone.

In general, this was still more worthwhile for her. No matter how good the equipment was, it would eventually be replaced. However, Skill Points and Skills would never be replaced.

Perfect Champion’s Gauntlets!

This was a damage output Dark Gold Plate Armor. Moonlight single-mindedly threw away everything he had to win it. There weren’t many people contesting it and he wouldn’t have much DKP afterwards for new equipment anyway.

Cowl of Nature’s Breath!

This was Dark Gold equipment for Druids, but Hachi Chan refused to pay any points for it. As such, they had no choice but to hold onto it for Innocent Child.

As a professional player, Innocent Child was probably one of the few that was constantly receiving Hachi Chan’s leftovers. Fortunately, he didn’t mind and actually enjoyed the surprises.

Leggings of a Fallen Hero; this was T4 equipment for Hunters.

Sesame Rice Ball paid a high price to take this equipment. He was a person who had followed Lu Li for a long time and Lu Li had said that he wouldn’t treat him badly. However, the others in the professional league all thought that he was constantly being treated poorly. If Kitty Likes Meat didn’t have the status of a professional player, there was no way she would have gotten the Enhanced Skill Book over Sesame Rice Ball.

Even if Sesame Rice Ball took any equipment, Kitty Likes Meat was likely to borrow it when going into competitions.

Perhaps this was the reason why Sesame Rice Ball had recently been practicing PVPs. There was a lot of dissatisfaction in his heart, and perhaps he would have an opportunity in the future to be on stage.

In some other smaller competitions, Sesame Rice Ball, Azure Sea Breeze, Lonesome Flower, Hachi Chan and Remnant Dream joined with their Instance Dungeon equipment and managed to earn some decent rankings.

Leggings of the Fallen Defender – this was T4 equipment for Warrior, Priests and Druids.

This equipment was eventually given to March Rain. Moonlight had already spent his last points.

Moonlight belonged to the type of PVP player that was particularly keen on fighting in the Wild. The difference between him and Her Tears was that he didn’t like to fight a group of players with a group of his own. He liked to face a group of players alone. He was constantly striving to defeat his opponents efficiently like a Jedi and would often challenge three to five players at a time.

This type of behaviour was insane, and the price was paid in equipment.

Fortunately, the game prevented players from dropping equipment in competitions, but he couldn’t use his best set of equipment to do this. As such, he was always making new sets of equipment, regardless of the quality.

Moonlight was sometimes like a Wild Boss as he dropped equipment all the time.

Dragonspine Trophy!

This was an Epic badge and looked like an accessory that boosted melee attributes.

There were not many melee players in today’s team. After all, there was only Moonlight, Mu Qiu, Water Fairy, Lu Li and Sakura Memories. In addition to these, there were two Hunters.

“Start bidding.”

Lu Li wanted it, but he didn’t show it. After all, he had to maintain a certain amount of composure before his girlfriend.

All the melee players were suddenly interested and bid without hesitation. Even Moonlight, with his few points, symbolically made a bid as well.

Lu Li eventually took the equipment at a high price of 180 points. His current total score was only 260 points, so this left him at 80 points. If the commander didn’t receive a DKP bonus, he would basically be out of points.

“Ah, if I knew you wanted it, then I wouldn’t have bid,” Water Fairy apologized.

Lu Li was the last person to bid for it. Bearded Zaza lasted for a long time as he reached 150 points. His main opponents were Mu Qiu, Water Fairy and Remnant Dream, who all bid more than 100 points.

“It’s okay; this equipment is worth it,” Lu Li said.

Before the strategy for the Black Temple was discovered, one of the Thief’s best badges was probably Dragonspine.

Dragonspine Trophy (Epic): Strength +180, Agility +120, Critical Hit +36, Slots 2, Special Effect 1: Skill Point + 1 – you can level up one of your skills. Special Effect 2: After equipping this item, your melee and ranged attacks have a chance to be affected by Haste by 325 points for 10 seconds. Level Requirement: Level 70. Durability 350/350.

Haste was a new attribute that was available after level 70. In fact, it had existed before and it was called Cooldown, but the calculation for this was different.

For Thieves, the Haste cap was 330, so gaining anything more than that didn’t do anything.

As long as this equipment was triggered, one could make use of almost the maximum Haste effect. All skills would cooldown much faster and there was a certain regeneration bonus as well. Since more skills could be cast in a shorter window of time, damage output would naturally increase.

With Lu Li’s reputation, if he had said in advance that he wanted this equipment, then he would have received it for a very low price.

However, he couldn’t do that. This really was an exquisite item and taking it like that was bound to cause offence. Since he was paying 180 points, which was much higher than the original price of 30 points, everyone would be convinced that he had paid a fair price.

The quest item was taken by Hachi Chan and was used to open the Instance Dungeon gate of the Serpentshrine Cavern.

Now that the equipment had been divided, everyone picked up their Badge of Timewalking Justice, which they could use to exchange for equipment at Shattrath City. Then, they got together to see what First Clear rewards they had received.
