The Heavenly Martial Empress Returns: An OP Xianxia Returnee LitRPG-Chapter 251: Taking Care Of Little Cecil
-----
A lot happened yesterday, more than I would have wanted to happen. There were several things happening everywhere, in fact. From the Saurians coming from Mars to the superheroes getting possessed by said Saurians’ Primal God, to the invasion from Murim by the hands of a revived Venerable, to then the wannabe Power Rangers that appeared out of nowhere, and how they had their powers taken from them by said Venerable, who ultimately and foolishly freed the monstrous cosmic entity that embodied the power of these heroes.
There were a lot of battles, more than I could have ever imagined. However, such a huge war wasn’t something rare to me, not at all; I’ve been rather accustomed to such massive-scale battles in Murim, especially in the great battle that I led against the former Heavenly Court, and even more, the war between all Venerables, which only worsened when the Ancestor of all Humans resurrected.
Indeed, if I compare this battle to that massive mess that lasted for several months, then it would only be seen as nothing but a little battle. Although the most dangerous foe, the Dark Storm Dragon, proved to be quite unique in his composition and needed to be defeated in a certain way.
Ah, right, of course, I cannot really forget about the invasion that happened while all of this occurred within Washington D.C.; the King was attacked by a massive army led by his brother. I had sent several of my disciples to help facilitate the victory, but many strange things happened there too.
The King managed to defeat his brother using the strength I lent to him through his cultivation and the teachings I imprinted into his soul and mind, but he did so with great sorrow. There was a great deal of family drama there that I had yet to fully understand.
Another thing was the strange “disease” that turned everyone into a laughing clown, which spread everywhere through laughter. It made former loyal soldiers into crazed psychopaths, and no matter if they were foes before, all clowns allied against non-clowns, creating quite the mess.
Thankfully, little Sara took care of that with her amazing abilities, which I’m very relieved I helped her evolve and further transform through Cultivation…
However, this “clown disease” or whatever came with a strange manifestation of perhaps its creator, one of the soldiers that had become a clown transformed into what I could only describe as a giant, cartoony jester.
Yes, according to what I saw with my Doppelgangers and what my disciples described to me, this “clown” monster had immense power and strange, reality-altering abilities. It seemed that most of its abilities revolved around making exaggerated pranks like those one would see in an old cartoon, with nonsensical things only created for laughter, yet that once used in realistic battles, could only be described as reality altering, as I mentioned before.
Luckily, this strange entity holding weird powers I had never seen, not even in Murim, could be easily defeated once a powerful Mana-Draining Formation was set by Francisco, the genius wizard. It seems that, despite how strong their abilities were, they all required Mana to work, and without it, the creature became defenseless and weak, enough to be easily defeated by Aiyan and Jackes.
I have yet to still investigate this entire thing, but without any remains of that monster other than the corpse of the man that was its vessel, which had turned back to normal once dead, there’s little for me to use for investigation. I will have to ask the superheroes later about this phenomenon, as I am quite sure it might have something to do with their strange world.
Another unexpected event was the King’s daughter going completely crazy. Indeed, the hostile girl showed her “true power” and unleashed a strength and ability I had never seen before. With it, she managed to defeat the second strongest member of the King’s brother army, a powerful General, however, after defeating him, Jackes reported that the "black sun thing" in her head ate his soul, and she became much stronger.
If you discover this tale on Amazon, be aware that it has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. Please report it.
Once he met with her, she only responded with anger; she showcased her complete hostility towards me and my disciples and attempted to kill Jackes. If it hadn’t been because Sara’s technique activated at that time, Jackes might have had to receive some of the help from my Doppelgangers. I could’ve helped him earlier, but I only do so when I am sure there’s no other way for them to survive. After all, danger and impossible odds are what make someone grow stronger.
Sara’s formation dispelled the clown disease and also, with its overwhelming light, burned through all of Cecil’s dark powers. Despite how strong they were, they were unable to go against Sara’s saintly light, and her divinity burned her darkness until Cecil fell unconscious, most likely back to normal after this “black star” was beginning to influence her attitude and personality.
Jackes also received quite a lot of damage, as his primary powers are shadows and darkness, but he’s fine anyway, so at the end, everything ended nicely.
The Dark Storm Dragon was sealed back into the Symbols and his presence disappeared completely. My children and Merneith became the new Rangers, even though I don’t know if that’s a good thing or not. The other unconscious Rangers have begun to finally wake up, and with Galaxy Man’s help and the help of my disciples that spread through all of the American continent to fight off the Saurian Invasion, we managed to get all the superheroes, who were finally exorcised from that Dinosaur God, whose whereabouts are unknown.
RUMBLE!
And right now, I was repairing the King’s castle while making sure to reinforce it with high-quality materials from my Inner Realm and using powerful quantities of Mana, Spirit Energy, and Heavenly Primordial Ki to reinforce the materials and turn them as hard as my Pagoda.
“All done! I think this should be enough, right?”
As I slowly descended from the skies, I was met with a massive crowd of people in the distance, only being held back by the King’s army and several cops; they were mostly a lot of citizens going crazy for my presence here.
“Yes, thanks a lot, Bing Xue! Without you here, it would have taken a while to reconstruct the castle… We owe you more than you imagine.”
“I am no architect, though, so don’t ask me for the same favor ever again, understood? I only did this once because you’re my disciple, but if you’re planning to ask for more favors, you better work hard to earn them.”
“Yes, I understand. More than ever before, I understand well.”
“Good.”
I nodded as I noticed the King’s attitude, his eyes, and everything about him had changed; he seemed like a completely different man than what he was a few days ago.
Not only was it just his attitude, but his power had greatly risen. I don’t think it was merely from leveling up, though; there was something spiritual and magical binding him to the queen, who was by her side.
This bind encompassed his entire body and didn’t quite “bound him” or something; in fact, quite the opposite: it made him much stronger.
“Thank you for all the help, Bing Xue… Cecil! Please say thanks as well.”
The Queen quickly dragged her daughter to her side and forced Cecil to thank me.
The black-haired girl, who looked very embarrassed, looked at me.
“Thanks…”
“You’re welcome, dear… Oh right, about your destructive ability that is certainly not normal, what should we do about it?”
“Eh?!”
She got all scared after hearing me talk about her powers, stepping back as she looked at my presence.
“I’ve been thinking about it as well,” the King said. “It seems there’s no register of such an ability being born in my family either, or in my wife’s family.”
“We assume it could be a completely new ability born from the combination of our bloodlines…” The Queen said. “But even then, although its power is great, it might be too dangerous. We’ve been considering sealing it away somehow until Cecil could improve a bit better as a person and learn to be a good girl.”
“S-Sealing my ability?!” Cecil gasped in shock and awe. “W-Wait a second! You can’t just do that, Mom…! It’s literally all I have; without it I’ll end up being all weak!”
“And that’s why it is a good idea to seal it; you rely too much on this strange power,” said the King. “As a daughter of mine, I want you to master the strength of the sword and of your own body, without any strange powers. Your base physique, your senses, your technique—all of those things.”
“But why would that be necessary? If I have the power, why should I limit myself?!” Cecil complained. “I should be able to do whatever I want with it, right? As long as I use it for you, then it's fine.”
“You’re speaking like a conceited child,” sighed her father. “It seems I haven’t raised you well, Cecil. Have we spoiled you too much? I thought I was being strict enough, but I fear that might’ve been an oversight on my part.”
“Then it is decided?” I asked.
“Yes, Bing Xue, if it's possible, could you seal her power?” The Queen asked.
“Gladly,” I smiled. “Now, Cecil, stay still~”
“E-Eh?! W-Wait, wait a second! Uuaaagh!”
FLAAASH!
