Chapter 50 -49 Want to eat plain rice?
Qu Tong’s gaze swept indifferently past the people behind him, seemingly curious, but she held back from asking more and only shook her head, “No.”
“Alright, thank you, Miss Jun,” the bodyguard said, bowing slightly, very politely.
After finishing speaking, he turned and ordered the others to continue searching.
“Captain Xing, a little girl appearing here alone is very suspicious, maybe she is the contact person. Let’s take her back for our boss to interrogate,” a man in a suit panted as he stepped forward, pointing at Qu Tong.
Qu Tong’s eyes turned cold as she looked straight over.
The man felt provoked and, fatigued from searching for so long, wanted to scold her again.
But Captain Xing blocked him directly.
The man was skinny and, compared to Captain Xing, who was trained, couldn’t match up and was thoroughly blocked.
Captain Xing, of course, knew why Qu Tong was here and warned the man in the suit:
“Miss Jun is our honored guest, even your boss cannot afford to offend her twice. If she says she doesn’t have it, she doesn’t; stop wasting time and go search somewhere else.”
The man in the suit had his doubts but, constrained by the threat of force, had to shut up, though he still muttered his dissatisfaction.
Captain Xing, however, didn’t care about him at all and once again apologized to Qu Tong with respect, which was entirely different from his impatience when warning the man in the suit.
Qu Tong was very gracious and said it was no problem.
The dozen or so people quickly departed in two groups.
Qu Tong lifted her foot and continued walking, her little boots making a rhythmic tap-tap sound in the empty alley.
When she passed a corner piled with waste stone, her steps slowed for just 0.5 seconds, then continued on.
In the shadows, a pair of silent black eyes only saw the neon lights reflecting off her long, curly silver hair, her petite figure shrouded in a large black coat.
Miss Jun…

On Luyi Star
Qu Tong lay on her newly replaced latex sponge mattress bed with her hind legs crossed in the air.
She solemnly took out another optical brain from the Space Button and seriously counted the balance.
Apart from the hundred million that needed to be taxed, there was an excess of over 5 million in profits.
Feeling as if a great weight had been lifted from her heart, Qu Tong felt both relaxed and joyful; if it wasn’t the middle of the night, she really would have liked to sing aloud.
She transferred some money from Jun Li’s account to Qu Tong’s account, just enough to round up to a hundred million, then with a smile tucked into the corners of her mouth, she hugged her long, little dinosaur plush and fell into a comfortable sleep.

And that night, many people were destined not to sleep.
On E12 Star’s black market, multiple factions were watching, attempting to find the origin of the potions.
“Grandfather, is it possible that these potions truly come from Master Yuan’s hands?” Shen Jie speculated along with the crowd.
The former Potion Grandmaster, Yuan Hewen, who had fallen from grace, was known by almost half the Empire to have been recruited as an appraiser by the black market.
Master Yuan had also been searching for a method to restore spiritual power and had disappeared without a word from the black market half a year ago.
Therefore, many suspected that the three Special-grade potions were a signal of Master Yuan’s comeback.
The lead man pondered thoughtfully for a moment but then asked, “Did that Miss reveal anything to Assistant Yu?”
“No, Yu Yao has always been very principled, and certainly wouldn’t inquire on her own initiative.”
“She did the right thing. Not asking anything ensures the chance for a second collaboration; prying carelessly would only risk offending the other party.” The man nodded in approval.
Shen Jie bowed his head, forced to admit that although Yu Yao didn’t take orders well from him as her superior, she did have talent; otherwise, how could she have caught Master Yuan’s eye?
At the very least, she successfully added Miss Jun’s optical brain number.
A few days later, Qu Tong also received a video call from Palace Commander Gong Yun.
He first praised the effects of the Sleep-Aid Potion, then repeatedly thanked Qu Tong.
Finally, he cautiously asked the question he wanted to ask, “Miss Jun Li, is the Sleep-Aid Potion difficult to make? Can your master make more of it?”
Qu Tong naturally understood Gong Yun’s meaning and followed up with the conversation:
“It’s not difficult if Palace Commander needs it, we can provide you with 50 units of the Spirit Power Stabilizing Potion every month. However, this potion only alleviates the dryness and restlessness of the Spirit Sea and perhaps has some analgesic effects, nothing else. Besides, its effectiveness doesn’t last long.”
“That’s enough!” Gong Yun’s heart surged with excitement when he heard this.
“Then, Miss Jun Li, how much does your master plan to sell one unit for in Star Coins?”
Qu Tong pondered the cost for a moment, “5000 Star Coins, I guess.”
This was actually just an ordinary calming potion, with some of her spiritual power added to it.
Since her spiritual power also takes time to recover, 5000 doesn’t seem excessive, right?
“Okay, I’ll have my assistant draft a contract and send it to you for a look later,” Gong Yun agreed, in a rather good mood.
“Miss Jun Li, can your master make a better potion than the previous Spirit Power Stabilizing Potion?” Gong Yun tried to ask. Fearing a misunderstanding, he quickly added,
“We mean no offense, it’s just that if the master has a better potion, we would be willing to purchase it.”
To Gong Yun’s surprise, Qu Tong’s keenness didn’t disturb her calm as she shook her head: “The potion we’re giving you is already the best.”
Gong Yun saw Qu Tong’s undisturbed face through the virtual projection and felt a slight sense of disappointment.
“By the way, Palace Commander, there’s something I’d like to ask you about.”
“Please go ahead, Miss Jun Li.”
Qu Tong took out a dried flower from the Space Button and asked, “Do you still have this kind of flower?”
Upon close examination of the flower in Qu Tong’s hand, Gong Yun replied with many years of experience, “This is a Kagura Flower. Does Miss Jun Li need it?”
Considering the names might differ across eras, Qu Tong nodded, “If you have it, I’d like to buy some from you.”
“It’s quite rare, probably brought back by them during a mission. I’ll have someone ask around for you.”
“Thank you, I appreciate it.”
“It’s a small matter, no need for thanks, Miss Jun Li.”
Gong Yun immediately instructed his assistant to handle it.
Fu Jin was efficient, contacting Qu Tong the next day.
The Seven-leaf Heart was an item Fei Ze had collected long ago in the Star Beast Zone, and this was the last one, but the planet it was from had already succumbed to a core overload and naturally dissipated.
There was nothing to be done about such matters, so Qu Tong simply said that her master needed it for potion-making, asking them to keep an eye out next time they came across it.
Fei Ze readily agreed, of course.

With the extra 5 million plus, Qu Tong bought two isolation shields; the larger one enclosed her house and the hill behind it, and the smaller one was used to enclose the large expanse of open ground outside the house.
Qu Tong had Li Kun and two others gather all the residents of the planet and had Xiang Bin go give them a pep talk.
Xiang Bin was very nervous and kept declining.
“If you don’t go, do you expect the boss to do it herself? Want to freeload?” Qu Tong Shot a glance his way.
“No, not at all!”
How could he dare to harbor such rebellious thoughts?
In the end, Xiang Bin had no choice but to get on with it, somewhat compelled.
Despite his constraint, and a bit of stumbling, he managed to make things clear.
When he looked back at Qu Tong and saw that his boss harbored no blame, he finally breathed a sigh of relief.
A sense of accomplishment then naturally sprang up in his heart, feeling that what he was doing became more meaningful.
Next time, he would definitely do well.
From then on, the farm officially commenced work.
