The Martial Unity-Chapter 2930 Void of Death
2930 Void of Death
One moment, he was barricaded by a spatial shockwave.
The very next? His Gu death strike found itself buried in the depths of the creature.
Rui had always known that he would not be able to penetrate the abyssfeeder's defenses with power alone. This was the one area where beasts and monsters had an advantage, and the abyssfeeder used its power extraordinarily well and efficiently while also having more than an order of magnitude more energy than Rui did.

He knew brute force was not the solution.
The actual solution was based on the principle of quantum tunneling.
Particles, when moving fast enough, had a much greater probability of reaching places that one would think would be impossible under classical logic. One of the reasons that Rui had sped himself up by absorbing the abyssfeeder's power with each attack was so that he could eventually reach the critical stage where there was a non-zero probability of his strike bypassing the spatial barrier of the abyssfeeder.
It took longer than he had expected.
Millions and millions of attempts over and over at speeds in the same order of magnitude as that of the speed of light until he finally managed to trigger the event of quantum tunneling.
His attack magically appeared on the other side of the abyssfeeder's defenses.
It struck true and hard, piercing its spherical body.
In the blink of an eye, he unleashed the poison of death itself within the depths of the creature. The Gu spread across the abyssfeeder in the blink of an eye, as it voraciously began consuming at its very life. SPLAT SPLAT SPLAT!!!
In the blink of an eye, an immense amount of primordial seed began bleeding off the abyssfeeder as it shed the esoteric substance at an astronomical rate. With each passing moment, the creature began dying more and more, causing it to crumble at a shocking rate as it dug deeper and deeper, infecting it with as much Gu poison as it could afford to.
And yet, not even that was enough to kill the abyssfeeder on the spot.
The world shook as it struggled and thrashed, and yet, Rui gritted his teeth, resisting its backlash as he focused all his power on spreading as much damage to the creature with his Gu poison.
The abyssfeeder's very existence grew volatile as it shifted through a myriad of different substances and compositions at a blindingly fast rate, an action that caused it to shed even more primordial seed.
With each passing moment, the Gu poison consumed its very life, causing the creature to grow smaller and smaller as it lost more and more of its body mass.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!
The abyssfeeder struggled and thrashed.
Rui gritted his teeth, using Nemean Blossom to weather everything that the creature threw at him, depriving it of any way to get him off of it.
And yet, not all of its resistance was fruitless.
WHOOSH
Rui's eyes widened as he watched a familiar glitchy healing mechanism erupt across the wounded body of the abyssfeeder, allowing it to slow down the progress of the Gu poison.
It was the esoteric substances comprised of the Tree of Healings.
The same substance that had helped Rui survive the Gu poison himself.
The abyssfeeder successfully adaptively evolved to the Gu poison, at least to the extent of no longer dying acutely to it.
And yet, that was enough.
That was enough for Rui.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!
An extraordinarily tremendous attack ravaged him as he unleashed powerful blow after blow, equipped with as much materia prima as he was able to muster from within the depths of his body.
Blows that would have previously been useless against the abyssfeeder now left it reeling as it directed all of its adaptive evolution capital to warding off the gu poison. It could no longer adaptively evolve to his attacks.
What followed was the most brutal beatdown that Rui had ever unleashed in his entire life as he activated Hypertrophic Surge, causing a tremendous flood of power to to flood his body.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!
Each blow, simple as it was, was enough.
The creature continued shedding more primordial seed as each impact ravaged its body, causing it to chip away more and more of its body.
And yet, its resilience was absurdly tremendous as it did everything in its power to mitigate the sheer onslaught of the output that Rui generated. Hundreds, thousands, millions of attacks slowly eroded away every final ounce of its resistance as each attack exacerbated the Gu poison.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!
A devastatingly tremendous blow split what was left of its body into several pieces that melted into lifeless primordial seed.
RUMBLE…
The sheer onslaught of attacks spread a tremendous amount of seismic radiation across the entirety of the battle even as the world slowly quietened and cooled down from the sheer war that had unfolded.
Rui's breathing was labored as he gasped to catch his breath, having consumed much of even his extraordinary stamina. His gaze swept across the enormous battlefield as the war entered its final embers of life.
Compared to him, the other Martial Sages were completely out of energy, their Realms of power were completely out of energy while even the tremendous quasi-Transcendent beasts and monsters appeared to be entirely exhausted.
And yet, they may as well have been dead with the state of the battle as it was.
Rui shifted his gaze to the other three pivotal battes across the final haven of the monsters.
The Golem King was reduced to rubble as Damian trashed even its final remains with a murderous grin despite the fact that his outer skin was entirely burned and sheared off.
The shadowcrawler… Rui couldn't even detect its existence while Bodhisattva Maitreyi herself sat down on a rock with an exhausted sigh, her body covered with countless cuts and wounds.
The jormungandr's dead body lay stretched across the entire battlefield.
Its skull split open by the Reverend of Reckoning, who was perhaps the only one who was left entirely uninjured.
A heavy sense of silence descended upon the battlefield as the war came to an end.
