The Monster King's Legacy-Chapter 225: Millenia
100 years went by in the blink of an eye, and during this time, a lot of things happen.
First and foremost, Lance held a grand banquet of marriage to tie the knot in an official manner with his harem which initially included Zara, Lia, Mira, Rynne, and Kaeli. Rikka also joined the fray during the near future.
Lance assisted the demon Lord Veyrath to conquer the abyss and gain full control of its power to become a true Demon Lord, which led to the demon Lord receiving the blessing of the demon god, blessing not just him but also his sister, An'xiel, and to a lesser degree all other pure blooded demons, though they weren't many of them left. It turned out that Lance's healing magic was a direct counter to abyssal energy, so subduing the very abyss, a conceptual plane filled with corrupting energy mixed deeply with dark mana, was easy with his help as he literally purged it, making the demon Lord suffer no negative effects like the previous Demon Lord's before him.
The entire continent was rebuilt during this time also. All races more or less returned to their kingdoms, though the relationship between all remained good. The continent was restored to its former glory. Kingdoms flourished, and peace prevailed.
Ithil single-handedly grew back the entire lost parts of the sacred forest of the elves, causing him to have to enter seclusion to recuperate for 50 whole years to recover from the immense effort.
During these first hundred years, King Aldrich passed away and a grand funeral was held for him by all races. Shortly after, Rusak embarked on a journey to explore the world and strengthen himself and his will and spirit.
With these hundred years, everyone Lance once knew either died or were now old. Within his wives, Kaeli and Zarra were now old, while Lia and Mira looked to be in their fifties, though they were still beautiful. Surprisingly, Rynne and Rikka still looked to be in their early thirties as they had grown considerably stronger over the century, with Rynne reaching a level of strength comparable to King Aldric.
Since growing in strength wasn't exactly a prerequisite to extending lifespan, they attributed it to the fact they had received the dragon god's blessing.
The demon Lord alongside his wives had later made it so that Lance also accepted An'xiel who was now also more willing, so towards the end of those years, she also became his wife, and still looked like she was in her mid-twenties, after all, pure blooded demons also had long life spans naturally.
300 years after the Titan's defeat, everyone had passed away, leaving just Lance, Aelyndra, Rynne, Rikka, and An'xiel. Ithil was still alive and looked the same. He and Lance became somewhat good friends. The demon Lord was also still well and alive, and the demons now occupied the entire South half of the continent alongside the other races that were now more than just scattered tribes but proper kingdoms. They forever stood as a prestigious kingdom with Lance as their king, despite being recognized and accepted as a sovereign over all.
Lance also fathered children with Rynne, Mira, Lia, Rikka, and An'xiel. Of all his children, his child with An'xiel retained a youthful appearance, resembling Lance as both looked to be in their mid-twenties, though he was more clearly a half demon, carrying his mother's ashen skin and one small horn on his forehead, contrasting his mother's reptilian tail and two horns protruding her forehead. The others aged gracefully, their strength evident, a fee even surpassing Aldric's strength in life. Though, not even the most powerful could compare to Rikka, Rynne was leagues above them, and Lance was more of a final boss. freewёbnoνel.com
Within the next 200 years, Rikka passed away blissfully in Lance's arms. Most of his children had also passed away, his generations passing before his eyes, taking different paths in life, though none lived a life Lance looked upon unfavourably.
…
500 years after the Titan's defeat, Lance, Aelyndra, and Rynne stood at the edge of the sacred dragon realm. The air was thick with ancient power, and the landscape was otherworldly, just as it had been all those years ago, towering peaks, glowing rivers, and clear skies painted with hues that defied description.
Kaelthara awaited them, her human form radiating an effortless confidence. The dragon elders stood nearby, their expressions ranging from amused to wary.
"So finally, you're ready to take the next step," Kaelthara said, her golden eyes gleaming with excitement.
Lance nodded with a light laugh. "We are."
Kaelthara smirked. "Bold words. Let's see if you can back them up."
Elder Thoryx watched the scene with a faint smile. "Kaelthara, do you ever wonder if you're creating monsters like yourself?"
The silver-haired elder laughed, shaking his head. "She isn't wondering, she's excited about it."
The auburn-haired elder, the red dragon crossed his arms, his tone dry. "If they become anything like her, we may need to prepare for a world where we just sit behind and watch the show… I'm all for it."
"When did he become so lazy?" The silver haired elder said with a scoff.
Kaelthara turned to them, her smirk widening. "Oh, don't worry. I'll make sure they're plenty strong enough. Besides, what's the fun in holding back?"
The elders exchanged glances, their humor masking a genuine anticipation. They couldn't deny their curiosity about how far Lance, Aelyndra, and Rynne would go under Kaelthara's tutelage.
Kaelthara turned back to her new students, her expression firm but eager. "Let's not waste time. You wanted to get stronger, so get ready to work harder than you ever have before."
—500 years Later—
While Lance spent time with Aelyndra and Rynne, relaxing from the day's work, Kaelthara walked in calling Lance's attention. "There's a visitor at bottom of the peak. You should go meet them now."
Lance stood, curious as to who it could be.
As he walked to meet this visitor. As he approached, a figure slowly emerged from the shimmering air. Nothing of what Lance was expecting.
The visitor was unlike anything he had seen. Its form seemed to flicker between corporeal and ethereal, its features shifting as though it existed across multiple planes at once. Its presence radiated calm authority, and its voice, when it spoke, carried a resonance that seemed to echo across several planes.
"Lance, Sovereign of the United World," the visitor said, its tone steady yet reverent. "I bring a message from the Dragon God."
Lance's brows raised in surprise as he heard the words, instantly growing more serious, his gaze unwavering. "I'm listening."
The envoy inclined its head. "Your actions have not gone unnoticed by the divine realm. Your courage, wisdom, and strength have preserved balance in a world on the brink of collapse. For this, the Dragon God has taken interest in you."
"The Dragon God has summoned you for an audience," the envoy continued. "The purpose of this meeting is known only to the divine, but it is tied to your unique role in a greater tapestry."
Lance studied the envoy, his expression thoughtful. "What happens if I refuse?"
The envoy's form shimmered, its features unreadable. "The choice is yours. But know this: the invitation is not extended lightly. Your decision will shape more than just your destiny."
Lance thought it through, somehow, there was no burden in his heart as he thought of his decision. "I'll go."
The envoy inclined its head. "Then prepare yourself. Once you are ready, we will depart."
As Lance stood at the threshold of a new chapter, he felt ready, the promise of the unknown igniting a fire within him.
