The Peerless Emperor-Chapter 508 - 509: The Birth of a New World
Chapter 508 -509: The Birth of a New World
As these words were spoken, a smile couldn’t help but appear on everyone’s faces. It was clear from Lin Qian’s words that he intended to take action against the Boundary Country.
Since he said that the Empire would be gaining a hundred more provinces, this implied that they intended to conquer the Boundary Country!
“Regarding the matter of the Boundary Country, let us put it aside for a moment, it’s nothing but a jumping clown,” Lin Qian continued, his fierce expression replaced by a solemn one, “You must have noticed some special faces appearing among us from the underground world of the Ancient Spirit State.”
“They are from the Black Corner Clan, skilled in Soul Power, the Red Horn Clan, skilled in Body Refinement, the Dwarf Clan, skilled in Artifact Refining, and the Spirit Hoof Clan with their formidable stamina.”
“The Emperor wishes to tell all citizens of the Huaxia Empire, regardless of your race, your cultivation’s strength, whether man or woman, old or young, you are citizens of the Huaxia Empire, you are Huaxia People!”
“The Emperor does not wish for any discrimination amongst us but to help one another, allowing the Huaxia Empire to grow even stronger. Indeed, only in this way can we have better days.”
All citizens of the Huaxia Empire, who were earnestly watching Lin Qian on the Soul Vision Machine, listened carefully to his words, nodding inwardly.
In truth, the integration of different races as citizens of the Huaxia Empire was something novel to them and didn’t elicit much of a reaction.
The Huaxia Empire had given them unimaginably good lives, so what did it matter if other races were accepted?
“In order for the lives of Huaxia People to be more comfortable in the future, to enhance the interactions among one another, and to make long-distance travel no longer a tiresome effort, the Emperor today announces the first major initiative: The Huaxia Empire will establish the Aviation Palace, the Orbit Palace, the Official Road Palace, and the Water Transport Palace of the Huaxia Empire. These four palaces will be under the jurisdiction of the Huaxia Empire’s Transportation Department.”
With that said, Lin Qian’s expression was very serious, “When travelling is no longer a labor and obstacle, that is when the entire Empire will truly flourish. Perhaps the citizens of the Huaxia Empire cannot understand what the appearance of these four palaces means.”
Just as Lin Qian himself had said, all the citizens of the Huaxia Empire who heard his speech were looking at each other, puzzled and unable to grasp the true significance of what he had said.
However, for them, traveling was indeed very inconvenient, despite the wide prevalence of the Soul Cars, which commoners could afford to use for traveling within cities or between small towns and villages.
Crossing between cities or even provinces, however, was something only Soul Martial Artists could achieve.
But even for Soul Martial Artists, traveling across provinces was exhausting, and even those in the Nirvana Realm found it inconvenient, and for those in the Sky Breaking Realm, flying was also very tiring.
The next moment, they found that on the Soul Vision Machine in front of Lin Qian, a mirror-like surface suddenly floated into existence, showing some images flickering and continuously zooming in.
Following that, the screen of the Soul Vision Machine was filled with these images, revealing one scene after another.
The first was a streamlined, peculiarly shaped box crafted from spirit metal, lying quietly on the ground. This box even had windows and doors, looking like a house yet not quite like one but still quite attractive.
Just then, a group of people appeared on the screen, consisting of Humans and the four newly integrated races of the Huaxia Empire, walking towards this metallic box.
At this moment, the large door of the metal box opened, and these people of various races entered. The camera followed them inside.
Only then could they see clearly that within there were rows of seats, the likes of which they had never seen before—apparently very soft and comfortable. This could be inferred from the satisfied expressions on the faces of the people who entered.
The scene shifted once again to the outside of that strange metal box, which was enveloped in the glow of an Array and began to levitate slowly, hovering merely three feet above the ground.
Following closely, the strange metal box proceeded to move forward. It was then that people realized the road it traveled on was spacious and flat, exceptionally clean and broad, with lush Spirit Wood neatly planted on both sides of the path.
“This is called a Soul Car, which will be managed by the Huaxia Empire’s official path authority. In every city and town, there will be Soul Cars traveling to different destinations; they depart on a fixed schedule. By paying a certain fee, you can sit on a comfortable seat, enjoy the view outside the window, and wait for the Soul Car to take you to your destination,” Lin Qian’s voice continued to resound as the Soul Car soared down the road, “In this way, citizens of the Huaxia Empire who wish to visit another city need only pay a moderate amount of Soul Crystals to enjoy their journey on the soft seats and admire the scenery outside, until the Soul Car arrives at the intended location.”
At the same moment, the scene had moved into the interior of what was called a Soul Car, where the citizens of the Huaxia Empire could clearly see passengers comfortably seated on soft chairs.
Some were resting with their eyes closed, others were chatting excitedly, and there were children sitting on their mothers’ laps, peering out the windows.
The scene followed the gaze of this child, stretching off into the distance, where another streamlined metal box was racing by.
The only difference was that this object was visibly larger and consisted of more than ten sections linked together.
It raced along at high speed, mounted on a long strip forged from spirit ore metals.
The Soul Vision Machine hastened to zoom in, showing the audience the metallic strip laid upon the ground and the precise locations where the metal was joined.
At this point, the citizens of the Huaxia Empire were astonished to discover that, although they were bound together, the sections of the long series of metal boxes were not touching each other at all; they were completely levitating by a small margin.
Immediately afterwards, their Emperor’s voice resonated once more, “This is called the Soul Train, which is faster and can accommodate many people at once. In comparison with the Soul Car, it is the best choice for inter-provincial travel, and it requires even fewer Soul Crystals.”
Above in the sky, an immense Cloud Boat appeared before their eyes, which, compared to the warships of the Huaxia Empire, appeared much more friendly in design.
In the rivers, boats of various sizes sailed, their speed evidently much slower, yet they were better suited for long journeys and leisurely voyages.
The Huaxia Empire’s Aviation Palace and Water Transport Palace naturally had jurisdiction over these two types of vessels in the sky and on water.
Lin Qian’s vivid description allowed the minds of all the citizens of the Huaxia Empire to soar as well.
Within the Imperial Traveling Palace, everyone was silent, including the well-traveled Sword Formation Emperor Zhang Juncheng, who was scrutinizing the content on the mirror-like screen before them, completely engrossed in Lin Qian’s narrative.
The imagery on the screen had vanished, and Lin Qian’s narration had come to an end. It was only then that the audience came back to their senses.
They knew that the content of the scene was real, as Qi Province had conducted experiments a few days earlier.
If they had not understood what transportation meant before, they now fully grasped it, their gazes towards Lin Qian filled with admiration.
“Our Emperor is creating rules!” Lu Shengshou of the Dwarf Clan exclaimed excitedly as he stood on top of the desk, “I can already see it—a new world, centered around the Huaxia Empire, is being born.”
