The Princess And The Lord-Chapter 1389: Ambush

Under the blanket of night right on the top of the hill a group of men in black suits were watching the road below, then seddenly the sound of buzzing from the cell phone break the quite night.

Clift tapped his earphone and answered in calm yet lazy tone, "Yes, Fred."

"How’s your situation, Clift?" Fred asked.

"Still waiting the target." Clift raised his binoculars to look at the empty winding road below him.

"What about the Hamilton family?" Fred asked further.

"They already in private jet as we speak, they should arrive in Herriond in five hours" Clift check his watch..

"That’s good, by the way I surprised Hugo managed to lure Sean Lockwood?" he sound pleasantly surprised, "Guessed we only need to brough Ethan Hamilton name to get their attention, so easy, they not even suspicious" Fred sneer.

"Even if they did, they wouldn’t let this opportunity, they desperately need Ethan to improve the MADD," Clift said.

Fred sigh "or at least untill they got his replacement"

"That wouldn’t be good for Ethan and his family" Clift finds it ironic that the reason the Hamilton family is in danger is because of Ethan’s talent but the reason they can still live their lives as normal is also because the enemy needs Ethan talent.

As long as they need Ethan Hamilton, the Hamilton family will not be hurt, however, Ethan Hamilton is not the only smart people in the world.

Therefore, Lory is worried that if the enemy somehow find a replacement for Ethan, the enemy will feel no need to play nice to the Hamilton family anymore and they will eventually use brute force to make the Hamilton family submit to them, therefore, before that happens, they secure the entire family first.

Suddenly, Clift’s men called him, "Sir, they’re here."

Fredhardt could hear the word ’they’ clearly. "Oh, they? Who else is coming besides Sean Lockwood?"

"As predicted, Andreas Brenn and Luce Johnson or rather Lucia Viora, just the three of them" Clift’s eyes darkened as he saw a silver car driving down the road through his binoculars.

"Still, they’re all Constellations perhaps they very confident with their strenght" Fredhardt said in mocking tone.

Clift snorted and replied curtly, "Lory’s right, you’re a nag like an old man.

Clift hung up before Fredhardt got a chance to scold him. He stifle a smile. a moment later a shadow creep from his hand in slow motion and slowly engulf the phone, and a second later the phone shattered into pieces.

At the same time Clift’s men did the same thing. They all crush their cellphones into pieces so if for some reason they were caught by the enemy they would not be able to take information through their cellphones.

"Are you all ready?" Clift turned to his subordinates.

One of them drinks the versipell potion and his appearance changes to Ethan Hamilton, while the other wears a full black mask that only shows their eyes but even their eyes had been change by potion into common brown eyes.

Clift’s eyes glint dangerously behind the mask. "Let’s start the show, shall we?"

The silver sedan glides on the winding asphalt road at high speed. In the car, a woman with curly burgundy hair staring at the red dot on the the map at the dashboard car screen.

"Are you sure we go to the right location," Sean had been question it a few times which anoyed luce quite a bit.

"This is the right location we got from Hugo phone, do you start to doubt our people ability now?!" Luce glare at Sean.

"Not that, but his location just two hours outside of Eagle Rock City. Ethan knows he has been hunted down by two most powerful countries in the world and suddenly he has the guts to appear near his hometown and contact his family, isn’t that strange?" Sean looked at Andreass who was sitting in the back through the rearview mirror.

"I feel the same that’s why I asked our people to hack the surveilance in ethan location and look at this" He swipe his tablet and the picture transfer to dasboard screen.

On the screen, CCTV footage of Ethan Hamilton drinking at a bar is recorded, but his face is not very visible because he is wearing a hat and hoodie and keeps his head down, but with facial recognition mix with anti glamour spell technology it is not difficult to ensure that the person is Ethan and not an imposter that used shapeshifting spell.

Fortunately, the town was small and undeveloped, meaning that not many people lived there, so there were no taxis or trains running through the town twenty-four hours a day like in other towns. There was only one bus station and the buses only came twice a day, meaning that if Ethan Hamilton wanted to leave the town, he would have to wait at the bus station untill morning or he would have to walk, either way he couldn’t go very far.

Like any other small remote town, there were only a few CCTVs working and aside from the one camera inside the bar, there was only one CCTV that pointed towards the main road which happened to show Ethan heading towards the only available bus stop.

"So he chose to wait for the bus, I didn’t know he was this stupid?" Andreas directed his gaze to a man sitting on a station bench with his head down, wearing a hat and hoodie as if he didn’t want to be recognized.

"He’s just been lucky all this time, now he run out of luck!" Luce’s eyes glint with murderous aura as she eventualy find her target.

On the other hand, Sean was suddenly overcome with an uneasy feeling. His heart was pounding like a drum and his blood suddenly froze. He observed the empty streets around him that iluminated by dim streetlights and flickering sign board.

Sean stopped his tracks and raised his hands in the air. "everyone stop!!"

Luce and Andreas immediately stopped in their tracks, then looked at Sean in confusion.

"What again?" Luce said impatiently while her eyes were fixed on Sean like hungry beast to its prey.

"Don’t you feel anything strange?" Sean held his breath, his whole body tensed.

Unlike Luce Andreass who had worked with Sean for a long time, he knew Sean was not the type of man who spoke carelessly if he wasn’t sure, Andreas looked around him warily and realized "There is no one here..." he squint his eyes.

Luce roll her eyes "This is a small town so it’s natural that the shops are closed and besides, it’s already the middle of the night so it’s natural that everyone is asleep." Luce retort.

"Oh yeah, but look at that diner, they didn’t clean up the tables yet, that’s weird and that car...look the doors were left open as if everyone’s leaving town in a hurry." Andreas immediately enshroud by uneasy feeling.

"That..that might be a coincidence, small town people tend to be more laid back so they might be forgot!" Luce still refused to believe it but her heart involuntarily thumping.

"This is a trap!" Sean immediately took out a short silver stick on his waist, soon the stick lengthened and turned into a silver sword.

Andreas and Luce followed suit in reflex, they also took out the same weapons then quickly stood back to back.

"You guys took aquite long time to realize, huh?"

A cold voice suddenly heard and not long after a group of people with dark suit and a mask appeared from the roof of the building around them just like a shadow, they were surrounded!

Luce, Andreas, and Sean’s bodies instantly stiffened as their grip on their swords tightened. Their eyes watched as a mysterious enemy appeared out of nowhere like a shadow in the night.

Sean glance at Sean Hamilton but the bench has become empty and Ethan Hamilton is nowhere to be seen now he wondered if that man is the real Ethan Hamilton or not.

"Who are you?" Sean could feel his muscles tightened, he knew the enemy is extremyly dangerous.

The man look lower his head as he stared at Sean and the others like a monarch to his subject, "Why did the constellation members go to such great lengths to find young master Hamilton?"

Sean was stunned to learn their identities, wondering how much these people knew about them. ’No, this cannot happen, these people cannot live.’ Sean made a note to himself not to let these people get away.

"Old Man Hamilton asked for your help, so we are here, we just want to help!" Sean speak with concerned look, unfortunately the killing intent that radiates from his eyes could not be hidden.

"The S.A.I.N.T. organization didn’t even help when Ethan Hamilton was dying, now they are kindly lending a hand and even sending their elite group, on what cost?" the black-clothed man sneered.

Sean and the other paladins’ faces immediately turned ugly. Sean gritted his teeth, "Did you bring Ethan Hamilton with you?"

"You know who we are, no matter what benefits you give us, we’ll pay double if you give us Ethan Hamilton." Andreas didn’t mind negotiating as long as they could get Ethan, even though after they got Ethan the story might be different, afterall they cannot leave any witness.

"Oh, double?" the man in black pretended to be surprised, and then he laughed, "Very good, now I know how much Ethan Hamilton is worth to your organization," he said mockingly.

"Enough, you think we’re playing, you dare to challenge us?!" Luce anger erupted like volcano.

However, instead of feeling intimidated, the men in black laughed as if they had heard the most ridiculous joke. "Well, what do you guys think, do we dare?" The man opened his hands provocatively.

Instantly, they replied in tunes, "Aye, sir!"

The man’s eyes gleamed fiercely,"So what are we waiting for?"

Sean and his friends’ expressions become rigid as the group of men in black suit jump from the roof while aiming their weapons at them. Sean raised his hand and all of a sudden a flash of light like lemerged and explode soon after the entire dark street lit up with white bright light.

Stunned by the explotion, the group of black men spread out but immediately regroup and charged towards Sean and his friend without missing a beat. The paladin’s sword and the man in black suit’s dagger clashed loudly, creating sparks with every friction.

Andreas threw his fist and a light energy rush in high speed at that moment the two people in black suit immediately stepped in and created a double barrier to resit the attack then the other people behind them jumped and launched a fast attack as Sean and his friend distracted one of them plunged his fist to the ground causing running cracked that caused Sean and his friends to separate to avoid the explotion, as a result their defense weakened, now it easier for the group of men in black suit to fight them. Such an impeccable team work.

It turned out that the group of people in black suit were not only powerful gifted people, they were also well trained and organized, moreover they came well prepared.

It was only at this moment that Sean realized how careless he had been, he should have predicted that Ethan Hamilton would not be able to hide from the organization and Luxemborough without the help of another party and he should have been more careful and thinking it through when he suddenly got the information from Hugo hamilton, but it was too late and now they were trapped.
