The Sevpons-Chapter 30: Return of the Raevin
Chapter 30 - Return of the Raevin
Meanwhile, Ryu and the others slowly opened their eyes, coughing lightly as a dry wind brushed past them. A vast, barren land stretched out around them—its ground was coated in black sand, and above them loomed a dark sky with no sun or stars.
"Wei, are you alright?" Tony asked, immediately crawling over to him, not yet aware of their surroundings. His eyes were fixed on Wei, concern etched across his face.
"Yeah, I guess," Wei groaned, wincing in pain. His voice was raspy, and his body trembled from blood loss.
Kai took one glance at Wei's condition and recoiled slightly. Blood soaked the sand beneath him. "So, I don't think you will be able to walk," Kai said, his voice heavy as he looked at the horrifying sight—Wei's right leg and right arm were completely gone.
Tony's eyes widened in panic. "We have to stop his bleeding as soon as possible or he will get weak," he said urgently, pulling off his jacket and tearing strips from it.
Wei reached into his belt pouch with his remaining hand, his face contorted in pain. "Here, I have bandages," he said, handing them shakily to Tony.
Tony blinked in disbelief. "How do you have bandages?" Kai asked, brows furrowed in confusion.
"Do you guys know where we are?" Ryu asked, standing up and slowly turning in a circle. He examined the dark, barren land and the ominous clouds swirling above.
"I don't care, would you let me focus? I am trying to stop Wei's bleeding," Tony said without looking up, pressing the bandages against the wounds with precision.
"I think you should look around," Kai muttered, eyeing the horizon where twisted, black stone formations pierced the landscape.
"I am almost done. And it's done," Tony said with a sigh of relief as he secured the last wrap.
Tony successfully stopped Wei's bleeding, though the blood-soaked sand beneath him showed how close it had been.
"What is this place?" Tony asked in wonder, his voice softer now as he finally looked around.
"Now you're looking at it," Ryu replied, his eyes narrowed as he surveyed the unnatural terrain.
"Wei, do you know where we are?" Kai asked, turning toward him.
"I don't know. I just opened the portal with my remaining power," Wei answered weakly, trying to sit upright.
"The sand is black, and the sky is also dark. I think this is not our dimension," Ryu replied, his tone calm but grim.
"Wei, can you open another portal, so we can get out of this dimension?" Kai asked, already dreading the answer.
"I don't have my magical power. I can't open any more portals," Wei said, shaking his head.
"Are we stuck here?" Ryu asked, his voice tightening.
"This place is so creepy," Tony muttered, hugging himself as a cold breeze passed.
"I guess being here would be nothing but a waste of time. We should move forward and look for a way out of this dimension," Wei said, gritting his teeth and trying to push himself up.
"You are right, we should keep moving," Ryu nodded.
"I need a little help here, I only have one leg now, remember?" Wei said, glancing at the others with a strained half-smile.
"Alright, do you want to fly?" Kai asked, stepping closer.
"Kai, you check from up for anything. Wei will be coming with us," Ryu instructed.
"Got it," Kai said, stepping back and spreading his arms. His wings burst out with a flash of light, and he took to the air with a powerful flap.
Ryu focused, lifting his hand. A faint glow surrounded Wei as he gently floated off the ground with telekinetic energy. They began moving forward cautiously.
Suddenly, Tony flinched. He clutched his chest for a moment, feeling a dull pain. He winced but said nothing, brushing it off.
"Hey guys, I found a city there. Follow me," Kai called from above, swooping down toward them.
"Lead the way, Kai," Tony said, shaking off his discomfort.
They followed Kai to a nearby city, but the moment they entered, an eerie silence fell over them. The streets were deserted, the buildings covered in dust and black sand.
"Why is this city empty? Where is everyone?" Kai asked, spinning slowly as he looked around.
"This is creepy," Tony replied, his voice a whisper now.
"Look at that building. It looks like a castle in this city," Ryu said, pointing toward a large, looming structure in the distance.
"I think going there is a bad idea," Tony said, taking a cautious step back.
"Even if citizens are here, I don't think they want to meet us. We should go to that castle," Wei said flatly, eyes locked on the ominous structure.
"But what if monsters attack us there?" Tony asked, voice trembling slightly.
"Ok, Tony, you stay here in the city while we go and check the castle," Kai replied with a smirk.
They turned and began walking.
"Wait, don't leave me behind, wait!" Tony shouted and ran to catch up, tripping slightly on a broken cobblestone.
They reached the castle entrance. The large doors were slightly ajar, creaking in the wind. No guards stood watch. Inside, the hall was empty—just black sand carpeting the floor and echoes bouncing off the walls.
They walked in silence for a moment.
"Hey guys, can you hear it too? I think someone is following us," Tony said suddenly, his voice low and fearful.
"Are you sure? Which way did that sound come from?" Ryu asked, stopping in his tracks.
"I hear it too. It's that way," Wei said, pointing toward a dark corridor to the left.
They all turned. From the shadows, a figure emerged—tall, thin, and completely black, shaped like a human.
"AHHH, what is that thing?" Tony screamed and jumped behind Ryu.
"Siines neas horeosil (I welcome visitors.)," the creature said in a deep, distorted voice. Its language was unrecognizable.
"What is he saying?" Kai asked the others.
"I think this is the language of this dimension," Ryu replied, eyes locked on the creature.
"Zalek vorin neas shuvel zae (How can I help you?)" The creature asked, tilting its head.
"I don't understand any of his words," Kai said, scratching his head.
"Maybe we should ask him about a way out of this dimension," Tony suggested nervously.
"You're right. Hey, do you know of any way to leave this dimension?" Ryu asked loudly.
Wei squinted at the walls. Strange symbols were etched into the stone. He gasped slightly. "I saw some of those symbols on my mask," he whispered to himself, reaching into his bag and pulling it out.
"Tial esar nirel Sevpon, Doros vel zae krenath shael (This is our Sevpon. Where did you get it?)" The creature said suddenly, and with terrifying speed, it ran straight at Wei.
Everyone stepped back in panic. Ryu lost focus and dropped Wei, who landed with a thud.
"Always keep your focus on Ryu," Wei muttered from the ground.
The creature snatched the mask and examined it closely. Ryu lifted his hands to attack with telekinesis, but Wei waved him off.
"Raevin, esai zae. Zae sar yuneth (Prince, it's you. You are alive.)," the creature said, its tone suddenly respectful.
"Do you understand what he is saying?" Kai looked at Wei.
"Velar, draxis shael nual zae shal morven zhean neas therakis su zae (Here, wear it and you will understand what I am saying to you.)," the creature bowed and handed the mask to Wei with reverence.
"I think it wants you to wear that mask," Ryu said cautiously.
"Alright, guys, will you help me wear the mask?" Wei said, reaching for it with his remaining hand.
He slowly brought the mask to his face, and Ryu stepped forward to help tie it from behind.
"Xelvar, xelvar shael's kharox velnur zae. Kharox drai Noctherion (Feel, feel its power inside you. Power of Death Dimension.)," the creature said, watching closely.
Suddenly, Wei's bandages were sliced open by an unseen force, and his missing arm and leg regenerated before their eyes in a burst of red energy.
"Look, he got healed," Tony said, his jaw dropping.
"So the last Sevpon was always with Wei, but we didn't know that," Ryu said.
Wei's body began to change—his skin turned pitch black, glowing red lines pulsed along his veins, and his eyes became sparkling red.
"What is happening?" Kai asked, stepping back.
"He is turning into a monster," Ryu replied in shock.
"We should remove that mask from his face," Tony shouted.
"Druvak, el'zaen mireth shaen's vekros thal'vaar. Na'zor vekarth shael (Stop, he is getting his true form. Don't interrupt it.)," the creature stepped in front of them protectively.
After a moment, Wei had transformed into a black-skinned, red-eyed humanoid being—his new form powerful and intimidating.
"Raevin, siines tirvok zae sar yuneth. Zae dureth zae sare moraz (Prince, glad to see you alive. We thought you were dead.)," the creature said.
"Are you ok, Wei?" Kai asked cautiously.
"What happened to me? I feel different," Wei answered, his voice deeper, more resonant.
"You also look different," Kai replied.
"Zerak, zerak vul neas, Raevin (Come, come with me, Prince)," the creature said, turning to leave.
"What is he saying?" Tony asked with frustration.
"He wants us to follow him," Wei replied calmly.
"You can understand his language?" Ryu asked.
"Yes, I think it's because of my new look," Wei answered.
"Zerak, zerak vul neas, Raevin (Come, come with me, Prince)," the creature repeated.
"We should follow him," Wei said, stepping forward.
The group followed the creature through dark halls until they entered a vast, shadowed throne room.
