In the back of the cave, there was a colossal golem.. It was obvious that it was much stronger than the rest, so Evangeline decided to inspect it.

—Medium Grade Demonic Construct (Level 350)

It's not a boss like the others, huh? Huh. Evangeline mused, turning to Jane. "So how do you want to kill that thing?"

"Why kill it?" Jane tilted her head. "Just destroy that rock formation, and we can get going."

"And how does that help us get closer to Neraxis?" Evangeline asked coldly.

"I'd like to ask you the same, then. How does killing a random golem help us find him? It doesn't. At least with my strategy, we can move on to the other area," Jane replied with a scoff. "Oh, and before you act out and do something stupid, I'd like to remind you that if I somehow die, you're never getting Neraxis back."

Evangeline's brows furrowed as she sent a cold glare at Jane. "Don't ever threaten me with him again, or I'm going to turn you into my blood puppet. I don't need to explain what will happen then, right?"

"And what makes you so sure that you can beat me?" Jane chuckled. "You got your ass handed to you just earlier."

"I didn't use a single one of my techniques earlier," Evangeline said plainly. "If I had, you wouldn't have been able to do what you did."

She had too much experience not to realize what Jane had done

After all, it was so simple, yet extremely overpowered.

Jane had an ability where she could negate damage upon contact, but only if she parried the attack at the moment it was about to land.

It was an incredibly hard skill to use, but if Evangeline had to assume, then Jane likely had some sort of eyesight skill helping her.

Maybe something similar to Neraxis's 3-second foresight?

Because of that, she now had enough mana to use another one of her skills.

Echoing Slash (Celestial)

—Slash the past echo of your enemy, dealing 25,000 True Damage

Cost: 20,000 MP

It was a pretty vague skill, but she always hated writing long descriptions. After all, they weren't exactly necessary.

And that was because she didn't even need to use the system to activate any of these skills.

They were a part of her, and they were a part of Neraxis too. He just slacked off way too much and focused on blood manipulation instead of actual deadly techniques.

But I'll force him to learn at least the World Severing Slash... Evangeline decided.

Hmm... I can almost use my more overpowered skills, Evangeline thought, glancing around and finally spotting Jane.

She was tapping the wall like a madwoman. Just as Evangeline thought she had lost her mind, Jane's hand suddenly went through the wall

Jane turned back toward Evangeline and sent a nod before walking through the wall.

And of course, Evangeline soon followed.
