Chapter 961: Chapter 930: Maybe Already Fond

He Tiantian glared at Qi Zhengmin with unrestrained annoyance.

"You don’t need to worry about others, but for those with a history, especially playboys like Tang Qian," He Tiantian said. "There’s an old saying that fits well here: A dog can never stop eating shit. It’s crude, but it’s true!"

Qi Zhengmin chuckled, "Sister Tiantian, I’ll be careful. You don’t have to worry about me."

"I don’t want to be this way either, but with grandma in Qijia Village and Uncle Qi abroad, I, as your sister, of course need to look after you," He Tiantian said. "Even if you resent me or get annoyed with me, I don’t want you to get hurt."

Qi Zhengmin then hugged He Tiantian again, "Sister Tiantian, you are really kind."

"Alright, let’s go eat." He Tiantian noticed that the food was ready and called Qi Zhengmin to eat.

With the child asleep in the house, He Tiantian had time to eat, which was quite rare.

Huo Yingjie listened to He Tiantian and Qi Zhengmin talking on the side and felt gleeful.

Tang Qian really deserved it; his future pursuit of love seemed bleak!

After eating, He Tiantian originally intended to drive Qi Zhengmin, but Qi Zhengmin declined because she heard the child crying in the house.

"Sister Tiantian, just let your family’s bodyguard drive me," Qi Zhengmin said. "You don’t need to take me yourself. The child is crying, you should hurry inside."

Hearing the crying from inside, He Tiantian nodded, "Alright, Yuanyuan, please take my sister."

"Yes." Wei Yuanyuan complied and drove Qi Zhengmin away.

Wei Yuanyuan dropped the person off at the hotel and then left.

Qi Zhengmin didn’t want to return to her room so early and thought of having something at the coffee shop, but then she spotted a familiar figure in the lobby.

Qi Zhengmin walked over, her high heels tapping on the marble floor, creating a pleasant sound.

Tang Qian was reading a newspaper. He saw the shoes appear before him, put down the newspaper, and looked up.

"Are you waiting for someone?" Qi Zhengmin smiled, asking. Her slightly curled hair was a bit disheveled but made her look even more charming.

Tang Qian stood up, somewhat embarrassed, but smiled, "Yes, I was waiting for you. I suddenly felt like having coffee. I remember the coffee here is good, so I thought we could have coffee together."

"Sure!" Qi Zhengmin smiled. "I wanted to go too."

With his eyes brightening, Tang Qian said, "Please!"

Qi Zhengmin walked ahead while Tang Qian followed.

Already tall, Qi Zhengmin looked even taller in her high heels.

In late autumn, Qi Zhengmin wore a khaki trench coat with a belt that accentuated her slender waist. Her delicate, fair neck and her mixed heritage gave her a deeply sculpted, beautiful facial structure.

Under the soft lighting, Qi Zhengmin chose a seat on the side and sat down.

"What would you like to drink?" Qi Zhengmin asked, wanting to order for Tang Qian.

"Just Blue Mountain coffee," Tang Qian said. Honestly, he never really cared about coffee, but he wanted to try it since it was Qi Zhengmin’s favorite.

"Alright," Qi Zhengmin smiled. "Blue Mountain coffee, cappuccino."

No sooner had the waiter left than Tang Qian’s stomach began to growl.

Qi Zhengmin was taken aback but held back her laughter and pointed towards the northeast corner, "The restroom is over there."

Tang Qian was even more embarrassed and quickly explained, "I don’t have an upset stomach; I just haven’t had dinner yet."

"Ah?" Qi Zhengmin laughed, "You haven’t had dinner yet?"

"Yes," Tang Qian nodded. Admitting to being hungry might be better than being thought to have a stomach issue.

"Then we should be going to a restaurant, not a café!" Qi Zhengmin laughed. "Alright, let’s go to a restaurant instead."

"Let’s wait until you finish your coffee," Tang Qian said with a smile. "I can wait a bit longer, it’s not a problem."

Qi Zhengmin looked at Tang Qian and shook his head, "Coffee is for leisure, but skipping meals is bad for the body. It’s fine, the restaurant is just next door. I can have someone bring the coffee there, I’ll drink my coffee and you eat!"

"Can we do that?" Tang Qian asked, feeling delighted inside. Qi Zhengmin was always so understanding.

"Of course, we can!" Qi Zhengmin said with a smile, then he stood up and told the waiter to bring the coffee next door.

Since it was all in the same hotel, sending it next door wasn’t an issue, and the waiter agreed.

Qi Zhengmin paid the bill and gave the waiter a tip.

Once next door, Qi Zhengmin handed the menu to Tang Qian and said, "Take a look, order whatever you’d like to eat. It’s my treat."

"How can I accept that?" Tang Qian said with a laugh, his stomach truly hungry. He decided to order first and think later, since he had money and could afford it.

Fortunately, it was a Chinese restaurant.

"Hehe, we are friends, treating you to a meal is nothing," Qi Zhengmin said. "Hurry and order."

"Won’t you eat something with me?" Tang Qian asked. If Qi Zhengmin was also eating, he would order more. If not, he would order less to prevent waste.

Qi Zhengmin chuckled and said, "No need, I already ate at Sister Tiantian’s house, I’m not hungry now."

"Alright, I’ll order less then." Tang Qian ordered one meat dish, one vegetable, one soup, and some rice.

Qi Zhengmin looked at the table: one plate of sweet and sour ribs, one plate of spicy shredded potatoes, one seaweed and egg drop soup, three very common dishes.

Here was a frugal man.

Another virtue of Tang Qian discovered.

Simple as they looked, the dishes tasted much better than those outside, justifying their prices on the menu.

With the rice and ribs eaten, his stomach was no longer grumbling.

Tang Qian, who spoke up after Jian Guo, grew up in tough times but was always well-fed. Raised well from a young age, he had excellent table manners.

Qi Zhengmin sipped her coffee and watched Tang Qian, recalling the time they had worked together, Tang Qian had given her many pleasant surprises.

Perhaps, she had already fallen for him.

Tang Qian finished his meal and drank the soup.

As for the dark coffee, Tang Qian automatically ignored it, still not used to the stuff.

"Do you like gourmet food?" Tang Qian asked. Having grown up in Yanjing, he was very familiar with the tasty spots in both the main streets and back lanes.

Now wanting to understand and grow fond of Qi Zhengmin, Tang Qian wanted to take her to his secret spots to try what he considered delicious foods.

"I do like it," Qi Zhengmin said with a smile. "Do you have any good recommendations?"

"Yes, we have many private restaurants here," Tang Qian said. "Are you free tomorrow evening? I can take you there."

"Tomorrow evening?" Qi Zhengmin asked, "Let me think, I should be free. I’m leaving the day after, so it can be my farewell dinner."

Tang Qian said with a laugh, "Great, then I’ll book a spot first thing tomorrow morning."

"Okay," Qi Zhengmin nodded.

The coffee was drunk, the meal was eaten, and it was time to part.

"See you tomorrow then," Tang Qian said with a smile.

"Alright, I’ll see you out," Qi Zhengmin smiled.

"No need, you go back to your room. I’m a grown man, I’ll be fine," Tang Qian refused, insisting Qi Zhengmin not come out.
