Ren’s lips curled up into a smile.

"Ah, you are right. You are my hostage, so I can’t risk letting you out of my sight." After saying that, he held her right hand and took her to the night market.

Lexie’s face broke into a smile as she saw him holding her right hand. It was not the first time they had held hands, but it still made her heart flutter with happiness.

"I don’t want to." She was not surprised by his request because she had guessed it.

"Why not? Is it because there are many people around us? Don’t worry about it." he reassured her with a cheeky smile. "They don’t know us and trust me. They won’t care about it. So how about giving me a kiss on the lips now?"

She chuckled softly at his persistence. "The answer is still no. You left me alone earlier, so I won’t grant your wish."

"But I only left you for a moment. It’s not even thirty seconds." He pretended to be heartbroken and put on a pitiful expression.

"Challenge accepted!" after saying that, Ren took her left hand and led her to enjoy the night market again.
