Urban God-level Youth-Chapter 774 - Critical Situation
Chapter 774 -774 Critical Situation
Qin Hao and Miao Jing disembarked from the warship and slowly descended; there was hardly any land below, just pools of molten lava bubbling with white steam and emitting heat waves.
“This is all lava, what are you doing here?” Miao Jing asked as she looked at him.
Qin Hao said, “Looking for rare resources. Shan Xingyun’s team said there are rare energy resources on the Sun.”
“The Sun is so vast, how are you going to find anything?”
Qin Hao said with a smile, “I had someone remove the resource detection system from that warship and install it on this one. The warship is scanning now. There are many rare energy barytes deep within the magma, it’s a pity they’re a bit too deep, the temperature is too high.”
After finishing, Qin Hao continued, “Follow me.”
He flew deeper, with Miao Jing closely following behind him. Qin Hao had a virtual imaging system in front of him, with all the data scanned by the warship transmitting to the virtual screen in front of him.
About ten minutes later, Qin Hao stopped. Miao Jing looked down at the red ground about the size of a few dozen square meters and exclaimed in surprise, “What is that?”
“Exposed energy barytes,” Qin Hao said, a smile on his face, feeling a bit excited.
Curious, Miao Jing looked at the red stones, “Are those the energy barytes?”
Qin Hao and Miao Jing landed on the patch of stone, and soon the starship also arrived. Qin Hao squatted down and picked up a piece of red energy stone from the ground.
“Xiao Ying, what grade of energy stone is this?” he asked the system, Xiao Ying.
Xiao Ying replied, “According to the classification of our universe, this is an intermediate energy stone. The surface ones are all intermediate, and there is a very high chance that there are advanced energy stones underneath.”
Qin Hao couldn’t be bothered with that much detail, so he began excavating at the center of this area. Miao Jing later joined in, and the two didn’t stop, fully committed to mining these energy barytes.
If these were installed on a small Star Destroyer Cannon, it would be incredibly terrifying, and this was his only capital to stand against those bounty hunter teams.
Qin Hao had been digging for five days straight, and a circular hole that was more than ten meters deep had appeared. He didn’t mine the energy stones at the edge because if the lava flowed in, it would hinder his mining later.
After transporting the energy stones to the warship, Miao Jing came back to him and said, “Xiao Hao, take a rest. You’ve been digging for five days.” freewёbnoνel.com
Qin Hao said with a smile, “I’m fine, my physique has been modified with a genetic potion.”
Miao Jing said, “My physique has been modified too, but I couldn’t last more than two days. You must be tired as well; take a break.”
“Really, I’m fine.” Qin Hao was unwilling to waste even a minute; time was extremely precious to him. The more energy barytes he had, the longer earth could hold on. The longer he had, the more chance there was to research more weapons.
Miao Jing looked at him somewhat angrily, standing still without moving.
Having no choice since he was indeed a bit tired, Qin Hao stood up and said with a smile, “Alright, then I’ll rest for a bit.”
The two returned to the warship, removed their mechas. Qin Hao’s body was soaked with sweat, and after more than five days of continuous mining, even his modified body had overexerted itself.
Miao Jing took out some food and nutrients for him to eat, “Eat up, and rest for a bit.”
After eating, Qin Hao lay down in bed and fell asleep. While he was sleeping, Chang Jing sent another video communication, but since Qin Hao was asleep, the warship didn’t make a sound.
Miao Jing answered the call and asked, “What’s up, Jing?”
“Where’s Xiao Hao?” Chang Jing asked curiously.
Miao Jing replied, “Xiao Hao has just fallen asleep; he’s exhausted. Let him rest a bit. What’s wrong, Jing?”
Chang Jing spoke, “Tell Qin Hao that there are at least thirty bounty hunter teams rushing towards Earth right now.”
Miao Jing’s expression changed slightly, “That many?”
Initially, a single bounty hunter team from Shan Xingyun was enough to require Qin Hao’s full effort, but now with over thirty approaching, how could Earth possibly defend itself?
“You and Xiao Hao should hurry back,” Chang Jing said.
She was also feeling a bit anxious now, for there were too many bounty hunter teams; she couldn’t bear to imagine what scenario Earth was about to face.
Qin Hao woke up after about six or seven hours, and seeing him, Miao Jing, with a solemn expression, said, “Chang Jing just video-called me.”
Qin Hao asked, “What did she say?”
Miao Jing replied, “Chang Jing said there’s a large number of bounty hunter teams heading to Earth, and she told us to rush back.”
Upon hearing the news, Qin Hao’s expression remained unchanged, as he had anticipated this situation, “No worries, the soonest of them won’t arrive for another twenty days. Let’s mine some more resources; these will be our capital to stand against them.”
Miao Jing nodded slightly, and she and Qin Hao donned their Mechas and went back to mining.
This mining session lasted for half a month, by which time the mine shaft had reached nearly a hundred meters deep, and the warship was loaded with a large amount of Energy Baryte.
“Let’s go,” Qin Hao said to Miao Jing upon returning to the warship.
Miao Jing nodded, “Is this enough?”
“Almost,” Qin Hao responded.
Qin Hao piloted the warship away from the Sun swiftly, heading towards Earth.
Two days later, Qin Hao and Miao Jing returned to the Pu’er Island base on Earth. Getting off the warship, Chang Jing was waiting for them there.
Qin Hao looked at her and asked, “How many mini Star Destroyer Cannons have been produced?”
Chang Jing, “Two have been produced; we have three in total now. How about you? Did you find the Energy Baryte?”
Qin Hao, “We found it; it’s all on the warship. Have someone move these stones to the locations of the three mini Star Destroyer Cannons.”
Chang Jing started organizing the transfer of all the Energy Baryte to the various military bases.
“Take me to see the space surveillance satellites. How much longer until those bounty hunter teams arrive?”
The three entered the space satellite monitoring room, where the large screen was keeping watch over deep space. Several interstellar warships were approaching at high speeds, each flying different flags representing their respective bounty hunter teams.
Qin Hao took a look; there were now more than fifty teams, and even more were continuously on their way.
The faces of both Miao Jing and Chang Jing were grave; there were too many teams, an overwhelming number that sent shivers down their spines.
Qin Hao’s eyes narrowed, a glint flashing through them, let them come, all of them. It would be perfect to deal with them all in one go.
The discovery of a life-bearing planet in the Southern Wilderness Star System had, for some reason, spread throughout the various nations of the universe. It wasn’t just bounty hunter teams; some nations had also dispatched fleets, and there were even interstellar journalists and others.
They were after the advanced Mecha manufacturing technology; Shan Xingyun himself had once stated that there were advanced Mechas on Earth. It wasn’t just these small to mid-sized countries that were intrigued and surprised but also the empires.
