Chapter 151: Chapter 150: Car Accident? Normal Operation?

After giving himself one last look in the mirror—half to admire, half to double-check he hadn’t forgotten anything—he grabbed his phone, keys, and sunglasses, and headed downstairs.

His sleek black car, polished to a mirror shine, sat waiting in the garage like a loyal beast ready to purr. He slid into the driver’s seat, the leather interior cool and luxurious against his skin. One press of the button, and the engine came alive with a low, satisfying growl.

"Let’s go," he muttered with a smirk, shifting into reverse and easing out of the garage like a man who had absolutely no stress in life.

Victor and Kaelan following behind in a car just like usual.

The morning sun was out, sky was clear, and the streets were just busy enough to feel alive but not annoying. Windows slightly down, music on low—some chill instrumental with a smooth beat that matched his mood perfectly.

He wasn’t rushing. He didn’t need to. When you had your life in order and your outfit made you feel like a million bucks, even a normal drive to campus felt like a scene straight out of a movie.

He stopped at a red light, drummed his fingers on the steering wheel, and grinned to himself. Life felt good. Simple, clean, drama-free.

"Huh!?"

Out of the corner of his eye, something—or rather, someone, a familiar silhouette, caught his attention. Raising his sunglasses up, he turned the volume down to get a better look and squinted through the windshield.

Yup. Eyebrow raise: activated.

There she was.

Oval face. Big, lively eyes that sparkled like she was always in a beautiful world of her own, A small, delicate nose. Plump lips curled into an effortless smile. Honestly? She looked like she’d walked straight out of a high-budget anime—the kind where the animators were given time, budget, and divine inspiration.

She stood around 5’6", her skin flawless and fair. Her long, black hair flowed behind her like a silk curtain, catching the breeze with cinematic flair, like a shampoo commercial. She had that classic anime-lover beauty vibe: the type to capture hearts with a single look, and leave broken men writing poetry on Reddit.

Yep. You guessed it right.

Daisy.

His classmate. The certified class goddess. One-third of the infamous campus beauty trio—and probably the most dangerous.

Not dangerous as in "will stab you" (well, maybe emotionally). Dangerous as in: talk to her too long and you might start believing in love again.

And there she was, walking ahead on the sidewalk, casually flipping her hair like she didn’t just cause three guys to nearly trip over their own feet.

Just then, the light turned green.

He smirked, switched lanes like a pro, and began weaving through the sluggish morning traffic, slowly inching toward her.

Just then, completely out of nowhere, a middle-aged woman in a dusty hatchback cut in front of him out of nowhere. She shoved her neck out the window like she was ready for war and yelled, "Hey! Watch where you’re going!"

He blinked, baffled.

Sis... there’s like ten cars between us.

But, being the wise and mature man that he was, he chose peace. No point arguing with one of the most statistically unreasonable creatures known to mankind: an angry morning driver.

So he leaned slightly, glanced out his window with a bored expression.

That one look?

Devastating.

Absolutely devastating.

The moment the woman saw his face—like something straight out of a glossy magazine, tousled hair, sharp jawline, and a scent that practically had its own gravitational field—her brain blue-screened.

Her eyes widened. Jaw went slack.

Staring at him wide-eyed, It was like one of those K-dramas scenes, where hero and heroine are introduced and they meet for the first time. Everything seemed to go into slow motion—the wind blowing. Soft sparkles. A romantic OST playing in the background. Flowers falling from the sky. The whole package.

Until...reality hit her like... well, a truck.

Literally.

"Move! You’re gonna crash!"

"LOOK OUT!"

"Hey lady, the TRUCK—!"

Panicked honks erupted around her. Suddenly awakening from her reverie, she was shocked and panicked to suddenly see a truck ahead of her, that’s right, it was truck that got in front of her, not she who had gotten behind.

And in a panic, she did what a creature like her would do in this situation, she slammed the accelerator instead of the brakes and—BAM—drove straight into the back of a delivery truck.

Thankfully, due to rush hour traffic, no one was speeding. So it wasn’t a disaster—just a cracked bumper, smashed headlight, and a little smoke for dramatic effect.

The woman jumped out of the car in a panic and was immediately surrounded by chorus of pedestrians and drivers shouting things like:

"Do you even know how to drive!?"

"Lady, you could’ve killed someone!"

"Eyes on the road, not the handsome ones!"

And she... didn’t even lift her head. Just kept bowing and apologizing like she was being punished in a historical drama.

Meanwhile, Rex sat frozen in his car, mouth wide open, completely shocked and speechless.

"...The fuck?"

He instinctively ducked his head down a little, muttering under his breath, "That wasn’t my fault... right? I just looked out the window to calm her down. That’s it. That’s literally all I did."

But what our guy didn’t realize was—he was already ridiculously handsome by default. Like, the kind of guy who made people double-take even when he was wearing flip-flops and a hoodie. But today?

The outfit? Effortless but sharp. The scent? Tropic Prism, his own creation, fresh and intoxicating. That post-shower glow? On point. And the confident energy that came from finally having money, peace, and a little taste of luxury? Practically radiating off him like an aura.

It was no wonder the poor woman lost control.

So was it his fault?

Well... technically...

Ehh—whatever.

So really, getting two... maybe even three cars into minor accidents?

Totally normal operation.

Standard procedure, even.

Nothing to fret about.
