Chapter 105: 2v1 2

The ground trembled again.

Daniel stood in the crater—burned, bleeding, cracked at the edges. But laughing.

Not the laugh of a man cornered.

The laugh of a predator who was finally starting to enjoy the hunt. freeωebnovēl.c૦m

Lucifer narrowed his eyes.

Ruka said nothing—just shifted his stance, raising his Spirit Blade again. Fire swirled around his feet, curling up his body like a living storm.

Above, Temmy remained silent, unmoving, her gaze distant but locked on Daniel’s aura like a wolf watching lightning.

Daniel raised a single hand, cracked his neck with a twist. His smile darkened.

"Okay."

A beat.

"No more play."

"I release 10%."

The air collapsed.

Literally.

Space warped around his body as if the very concept of weight had changed. The sky darkened again—this time not from clouds or nightfall—but from the sheer presence pouring off of him.

Demonic pressure surged out like a tidal wave.

Wind screamed. Stones hovered. Light flickered unnaturally.

Lucifer felt his own aura press back automatically, red sigils flaring along his spine.

Ruka stumbled half a step, then dug his blade into the ground and held himself steady.

Daniel floated off the crater floor—his skin splitting open in lines of red light. Veins glowed like lava under cracked obsidian. Horns spiraled from his forehead, twisted and jagged. Black spines erupted from his back. His eyes were gone—replaced by twin vortexes of abyssal fire.

Wings unfurled again—larger now. More defined. The runes along them bled shadow.

Stage One: Demon King Form.

10%.

And it already felt like the weight of a continent.

Daniel’s voice came out distorted—layered. Like a choir of demons speaking in sync.

"Let’s see how long you can last."

BOOM.

He vanished.

Lucifer barely dodged the punch that obliterated the sky where he stood. The force behind it cracked the moon above, a visible line forming across the pale surface.

Lucifer twisted mid-air and retaliated with a sweeping red arc of magic—Blood Wave.

Daniel caught it.

With his mouth.

He bit through it, spat the energy back as a spike.

Lucifer blurred sideways, but the spike grazed his cheek—and vaporized a city block behind him.

Ruka struck from below. His blade flared with white-blue fire, Spirit Ignition Mode, his fastest form.

He struck twelve times in under a second.

Every blow echoed with the scream of the dead.

Daniel blocked eleven.

The twelfth sank into his side—but barely.

He turned, backhanded Ruka across five rooftops.

Ruka caught himself on the edge of a broken tower, coughing blood.

Lucifer flew up again, eyes glowing. "Try this."

He held out his hand—snapped his fingers.

A blood seal activated underneath Daniel’s feet—

Gravity Lock.

Daniel dropped instantly, crashing to the ground like a meteor. The pressure pinning him down multiplied tenfold.

Lucifer followed with a combo—his hands glowing with shadowflame. He threw a punch—

Daniel caught it.

Still in the seal.

His grin widened.

"Cute."

The seal shattered.

Daniel rose—uppercutting Lucifer so hard he flew into the stratosphere.

Ruka appeared instantly above Daniel—his body now burning, literally burning, with spirit aura.

"Spirit Limit Break: Phoenix Rend."

He descended like a sword from heaven, his blade coated in celestial fire. The hit landed—

BOOM.

A mountain vanished.

Daniel stood in the middle of the blast crater, chest glowing, ribs exposed—laughing.

Ruka stared. "...What the hell are you?"

Daniel tilted his head, wiped the blood from his lips.

"Your lesson."

He raised his hand, made a grasping motion.

Ruka’s body jerked—lust magic latching onto his desire to protect Lucifer. It pulled on that feeling, made his own emotions into chains.

Lucifer dropped back to earth like a meteor, surrounded in red lightning. He crashed next to Ruka, grabbed his shoulder—and overrode the emotion lock.

His aura flared out, snapping the enchantment with brute soul force.

They moved together.

Lucifer blurred.

Ruka cast a firewall behind him, sealing off Daniel’s movement. Then—

Double impact.

Lucifer struck high, Ruka low.

Daniel caught both. Again.

But he winced.

Finally.

They pushed him back—together—blow after blow, light and fire, blood and spirit. The city burned. The ground melted. Every footstep left a crater.

Temmy watched, hands at her sides, mouth tight.

Lucifer’s fist connected again—this time into Daniel’s gut, followed by a soulflame spear from Ruka through the shoulder.

Daniel growled.

"Enough."

His wings surged wide—and he roared.

The shockwave tore the landscape in half. Buildings folded. Roads peeled. Clouds screamed.

Lucifer shielded his face, red lightning dancing across his skin.

Ruka skidded back, breathing hard.

Daniel floated higher, body steaming, arms open.

"Still standing? Good."

"Now I’m just getting started.

BOOM.

Another pulse ripped through the atmosphere.

Daniel hovered high, wings spread, runes glowing along his skin like divine wrath given form. His horns shimmered, casting jagged reflections across the broken earth below. Each beat of his wings warped the wind. His demonic energy poured out like a flood, flooding the city with pressure so dense it cracked windows five kilometers away.

Lucifer stood back on the fractured street, blood dripping from his brow, his coat half burned. His crimson eyes didn’t blink.

Ruka floated a few meters beside him, fire licking his shoulders, the spirit blade glowing like it had tasted the soul of the world. His breathing was steady—but his ribs were broken, and half his left wing hung useless.

They didn’t speak.

They didn’t need to.

They charged.

Lucifer flashed forward first—a blink-step through darkness, his fist rearing back. The world pulled toward him like a collapsing star.

Daniel met the punch with one of his own—fist to fist.

The shockwave tore a ring in the clouds.

Ruka came in from above, blade spinning with spirit glyphs. He slashed downward—aiming for Daniel’s crown.

Daniel caught the blade mid-strike, his palm burning—but he didn’t flinch.

He spun—dragged Ruka and flung him like a whip into the side of a skyscraper.

Lucifer twisted with the moment—red sigils forming under his feet—and he teleported again. His foot came crashing down from above—

"Blood Smash!"

Daniel raised a hand and caught the kick, but the street beneath him split in a straight line for a mile.

Lucifer flipped backward, both hands glowing.

Twin seals. Vampire Art: Lunar Fang and Blood Requiem.

One seal created blades of blood that danced like orbiting moons.

The other turned his blood into living fire.

He hurled both.

Daniel punched through the Lunar Fangs—but the Blood Requiem detonated on his chest, throwing him backward.

He hit the side of a ruined building and skidded through three floors before catching himself.

Lucifer floated, exhaling.

Ruka returned, dragging fire behind him like a comet.

"Phoenix Chain!"

He slashed with the spirit blade, and out came five flaming chains that wrapped through the air. They latched onto Daniel’s limbs, tightening with every second.

Daniel growled, power spiking again. But the chains pulsed with binding flame—spirit-based and pure. He snarled.

Lucifer raised both arms. His aura flared.

"Red Eclipse!"

The sky turned black.

A crimson moon appeared behind him—a spell construct.

Energy surged downward as the moon split into five glowing lines, each targeting Daniel from above.

The blasts hit—full force—colliding with the burning chains.

BOOM.

The ground cratered.

Smoke filled the city.

For a second—silence.

Lucifer floated back down, landing near Ruka.

Ruka fell to one knee, the use of spirit arts taking its toll. He wiped blood from his mouth.

Lucifer looked toward the smoking crater.

"Is it over?"

Then—

Something moved.

From the dust.

A slow, rising figure.

Daniel stepped out.

His horns cracked, blood dripping down one arm, his body torn.

But standing.

Still smiling.

"Not bad," he said, voice hoarse. "Not enough."

Lucifer narrowed his eyes.

Ruka stood again, blade back in his grip.

"Then we go again."

Daniel cracked his neck.

And once again—

they clashed.
