Vampire Summoner's Rebirth: Summoning The Vampire Queen At The Start-Chapter 1338: Finally Back
-----
Braveblitz, Aurora, Nova, and even the Xenoid Queen glanced around their surroundings. At the very least, the first three seemed to be amazed, admiring the beauty of nature and the endless horizon of a planet's surface, something they hadn't experienced that much before, as they were only inside a virtual reality.
But this beauty, this splendor, this fresh air, this world outside, it was all so wonderful, even though I felt right back at home, and even happier than before. The annoyance and stress I had brought with me was slowly dissipating, being completely overcome by a happy sense of nostalgia and relief.
I know there are many challenges ahead, we still have to reconquer half of the Elven Continent and defeat Fafnir and his gigantic army of draconic lizards, but even then, I felt so happy… Somehow, the horrors of space now feel like something I only would like to visit briefly, as coming back home just feels much better to me in general.
"So this is Spiritias, guys," I said with a smile. "Do you like it?"
"Hahahaha! It's so big! This is real?! Not a virtual reality, right?!" Braveblitz laughed, walking around and accidentally crushing a tree. "Ah! I'm so sorry!"
He tried to put the tree back to normal, but it was already broken in half.
"Leave that there and be careful where you step into, Braveblitz," I said. "And yes, this is a hundred percent real, not an illusion, not a virtual reality. This is the beautiful world I come from."
"Hmm, it's certainly vibrant, and so full of life… I can feel so many living beings here, everywhere," Aurora said. "And above all, many energies I have never felt or seen before. Is this the Mana and Spirit Energy you talked about?"
"Yeah," I nodded. "That's right, Spiritias has Mana and Spirit Energy, and well, technically even outside, in the universe beyond, this power also exists, though I suppose some areas of the universe might be isolated from such supernatural forces."
"Uwaaah! Bright!" Nova pointed at the sun, admiring its brightness.
"Yeah that's the sun, don't look at it too much," I said. "Xenoid Queen, what do you think? Do you like my home world?"
"A repugnant place! It's too full of so many different lifeforms creating a balanced ecosystem, despicable!" She said. "If it were redder, and there was more flesh everywhere and it is very cold! It requires to be much hotter and wetter everywhere."
"What are you even talking about?!" Braveblitz glared at her in horror. "You sure love talking nonsense, don't you? Hahahaha!"
"Tch, if I could gladly take over this place and steal all of these powers for myself, I would become even stronger!" She kept complaining. "Perhaps one day I will do it, once I can free myself from you!"
"That's not happening any time soon," I smiled. "If I die, you're all dying with me."
"EH?!"
Braveblitz gasped in disbelief.
"Don't say that you're so young! And you're already saying you're going to die?!"
He was quite the character, as usual.
"Not at all, I'm merely saying that whatever she plans will bear no fruit. She will simply have to change and become a better being… person being," I said.
"Better person? I am simply who I am, there's no such concept as good and evil, I follow my instincts, and my instincts say that I must- Ugh? Huh?" She looked around, realizing something. "Wait, these instincts are gone? The primal impulses of… devouring? Why don't I feel them anymore?!"
"Hm, I see, so that's what's happening, I guess such instincts you developed as a living being are gone, you're now a Familiar, a Spiritual being," I explained to her. "You don't even need to eat, and you don't reproduce either, technically. You're constructions made of Mana and Spirit Energy with a Spiritual Soul of sorts that transfers from every version you have, a much different lifeform."
"I-Impossible! That cannot be! I am…! I am…!" She kept muttering to herself.
I noticed she needed some time to think things, so I quickly opened my Umbral Shadow Aura and put her inside.
"Get in here and rest."
"Agh…"
She slowly entered without much of a fight, obeying any of my orders either way.
With her gone, things felt a bit better.
"Phew, I'm glad she's gone! I didn't really liked the idea of having to interact with that evil monster, Blake, why did you even choose her?" He sighed.
"Because she's strong, Braveblitz," I explained. "That's just how I am with these things, I always choose the path of strength."
"Hmm, to be honest, that's no different from how I know you," Aurora nodded. "I suppose you have hardly changed, are you the same even in your home world?"
"Yes," I smiled. "Now, let's go, we have all my friends to meet."
We walked forward through the road, Braveblitz ran around, picking up fruits, branches, and little animals on the way, completely fascinated with the world around him.
Nova, his little sister, was following him around as well and imitating everything he did, the two were already great siblings and Braveblitz seemed to be a decent big brother.
"Bwig bro! Flowa!"
Nova showed him a bunch of colorful flowers, which Braveblitz took with his large, cold mechanical hands.
"Aaaah! So these are real flowers! How beautiful and vibrant they are, hahaha!" he laughed loudly. "Thank you for the little gift, my little sister!"
Nova carried the flowers and made a little crown, putting them over a part of Braveblitz's large metallic helmet, hanging on delicately.
"Blake! How do I look? Is this the fashion of this world?" Braveblitz wondered with a confident smile confidently.
"You look stupid… And this is not the fashion of this world," I sighed, looking elsewhere.
"Ah, we're here…"
I stopped, as I glanced at the walls of Evergrace, the city we conquered before I went into the trial.
"So we're back here, hm?"
Eleanora appeared by my side, alongside most of my Vampire Spirits, including Saphira and Hendrick.
"Looks like we're back where we left out!"
Hendrick seemed rather excited to resume our war against the lizardmen…
"Papa, can I have something sweet for dinner?"
Saphira was only thinking about sweets…
"Haha, already asking for sweets," giggled Eleanora, as she held my hand. "Well, it sure was quite a journey, but are you ready to resume what we left out?"
