Venerable Demon King & The Doting Immortal (QT)-Chapter 223: Turned into a smurf
Chapter 223: Turned into a smurf
Han Xin remained silent, listening to Xiang Yu’s footsteps retreat. He waited until the silence confirmed that Xiang Yu had given up before walking to the chaise.
Han Xin, usually a rigid and disciplined man, lay sprawled on his chaise, slippers still on, staring up at the ceiling with a look of exasperation. He shouldn’t have agreed to let Xiang Yu stay here, but he had. The more Xiang Yu was in his life, the more impulsive, immature, and irritable Han Xin became. His character had deviated so strongly, doing things he would never normally do.
For instance, he openly defied his father just to keep Xiang Yu away from Han Jia. Xiang Yu was his man, so why should he share him with his half-brother? Everything he ever had, Han Jia wanted too, despite being older.
Han Xin rarely showed his claws to his father, but this time he had openly defied him for Xiang Yu. It wasn’t just that. He would constantly get angry when anyone approached Xiang Yu. At first, it was a simple pang in his chest, but now it had grown into a full-blown storm. Han Xin sighed and raised his hand, looking at his thumb before heaving another sigh. The fact that Xiang Yu had bitten him and he hadn’t retaliated by kicking him out was a sign of the power Xiang Yu had on him.
Lost in thought, Han Xin was startled by the ringing of his phone. Seeing it was the head of security, he picked up the call. "What is it?" he asked, his voice edged with irritation.
"Miss Peng is here at the gate. Should I let her in?" the head of security inquired. Han Xin had given strict orders that the seaside villa was on lockdown tonight. No one was to come in. Peng Xiu showing up was unexpected, but the head of security was only following instructions.
"Don’t let her in," Han Xin replied curtly. "Tell her to go back to the Reigh Tower or her apartment." He ended the call, feeling frsustrated.
He didn’t even want to think about how he felt kneeling in front of Xiang Yu’s hard crotch or when he saw Xiang Yu’s naked butt. It was one of the few places on the man’s body that wasn’t inked. He sat up in annoyance deciding to get some work done to rid his mind of Xiang Yu. At this point, he would work himself to death if he had to as long as he stopped thinking of those smooth, fleshy cheeks that looked as juicy as a ripe peach. "Damn," he swore realising what he was thinking. He got up in a hurry heading down to get his laptop and head to his office.
As he descended, he found Xiang Yu still engrossed in a game, chatting animatedly with Little Bai.
"Which bed do you want to sleep in? There are two beds in the room," Little Bai asked, his voice filled with innocent curiosity.
Xiang Yu focused on shooting a character that was acting cute on the screen and stuck his tongue out playfully. "Pick any," he replied nonchalantly.
Han Xin’s voice cut through the room, firm and unyielding. "No Xiang Yu, you are staying upstairs. The room is already prepared."
Little Bai nodded quickly, "Okay," and rushed back to the bedroom, leaving Xiang Yu slightly startled by Han Xin’s sudden presence. Xiang Yu pulled back his headset, a mischievous smile spreading across his face, his canine teeth glinting. "You are back for revenge?" he teased.
Han Xin’s body stiffened at the comment. He grabbed his laptop and hurried towards his office, trying to ignore the persistent thoughts of Xiang Yu. He couldn’t understand why Xiang Yu was so persistent, why he seemed to enjoy pushing his buttons.
Xiang Yu watched Han Xin’s retreating back with a hint of amusement. He found Han Xin fun to tease; his reactions were always so intense and genuine. As Xiang Yu turned his attention back to the game, he met Han Zhan’s gaze. Han Zhan was watching him with a scrutinizing look, his eyes sharp and curious.
"What?" Xiang Yu asked, confused by the scrutiny.
Han Zhan smiled, a knowing glint in his eyes. "Nothing, nothing," he replied, but the look on his face suggested otherwise.

Xiang Yu had been busy these past few days, plotting his pay back to the Die clan for their indiscreet attack that blew up his tattoo shop and scared his sweet babies. This demon king had to raise hell upon them and make them pay for their sins. Naturally he couldn’t do all this work underneath Han Xin’s nose.
He had told him that he was occupied at the new tattoo shop in Tianshi Park, leading Han Xin to assume he was there. However, after the first day, Xiang Yu spent his time at a warehouse, meticulously plotting his revenge.
Unbeknownst to him, Lian and Mei were up to no good. They had developed a new habit of messing with Han Zhan, finding it quite amusing. On the first day, they slapped a paper on his back. Han Zhan, delighted by their hug, bounced around all day, unaware of the sign that read, "Honk or whistle if you like what you see." People honked at him so much that he felt like a celebrity. In the office, he was constantly whistled at, and passersby smiled and giggled. His good cousin didn’t even tell him about the paper. It was only when he got home that the butler asked about it.
On the second day, Lian and Mei offered him a cookie as an apology. Thinking they were sincere, he took a bite, only to spit it out immediately due to its bitter taste. He brushed his tongue furiously while the girls giggled.
By the third day, Xiang Yu finally discovered their antics. Han Xin had come to pick him up at the tattoo shop, and when he opened the car door, he was startled to see Han Zhan, who had been turned into a smurf. Xiang Yu glanced at Han Xin as he sat in the front passenger seat and whispered, "What happened to him?" freēwēbnovel.com
Han Xin was about to respond when Han Zhan wailed, "Who else did this? The twins did it! Ahhh, why do they hate me? Did I owe them in my previous life?"
Xiang Yu sighed. This didn’t mean they hated him; it meant they really liked him. Their idea of playing was warped, and it was Xiang Yu’s fault for not nipping it in the bud when they were kids. Xiang Yu had always been too smart for them, foiling their plans. Even Little Bai wasn’t spared, he almost had his eyebrow shaved off by them.
"I am so sorry," Xiang Yu said. "They don’t hate you; they like you and think that’s playing. I will tell them to stop."
All Han Zhan heard was "like," and he was no longer dispirited. As soon as they got home, he chased the twins, yelling, "You like me! You actually like me!"
Lian and Mei were stunned. Han Xin, who thought Xiang Yu had lied to make Han Zhan feel better, said, "Thanks for telling him that. Lying to him wasn’t the best, but at least he is happy."
Han Zhan, who had never had a family of his own growing up, loved having company. This was why he mooched off his cousin instead of having his own place.
Xiang Yu replied, "I wasn’t lying. They really like him." Han Xin was left speechless. So why didn’t they prank him? Did they not like me?
