In a silent room, an enchantingly beautiful lady, who was naked under those white sheets and fast asleep, hugged onto the arm of the man who was sitting with his back against the headrest, reading a big tome-like book that was resting in his lap.

{The Alchemy Secrets}

The title was in a very strange language, which had no scriptures present anywhere in the world, but the young man read it as if it was the language he had known since his childhood.

A light smile crept onto Keith's face when he read an interesting bit of information and a procedure to create a certain Potion. He glanced at the image of a star-shaped leaf, which was of a crimson colour, and then at the image of the second main ingredient used in the Potion, a green pearl, which was, in fact, a seed of a plant that was not found in this world.

"The Potion of a Thousand Dreams?"

A sonorous voice asked, and Keith nodded his head to Vanessa's question.

"A Potion that puts you to sleep and makes you go through your worst fears in form of nightmares. And if you manage to break out of that sleep, your mental fortitude dramatically increases," He informed her with a smile.

"That's still a devious Potion." Venessa read through more of the information about the Potion and smiled.

Yes, she too could read this strange language which Amelia and Rebecca had taught her.

It was clearly mentioned that the subject might never wake up again and could lose their lives fighting against their worst nightmares. Only less than 1% of Subjects, who already possess immense mental fortitude, could break out of it by differentiating between the dream and reality.

"Yes, you could call it that." He smiled. "After all, it can be used to damage someone's mind, and can also be used to plant fears and interesting notions inside their minds."

Venessa frowned at his words and read through the page again, not finding anything regarding what Keith had just told her.

"How?"

"Well, for that to happen, you need someone who can control dreams and can create illusions. It is only something the most magically gifted can do." He lightly said.

"Rebecca?"

"Yes. As the Inheritor of Hectate, she does indeed possess a certain control over dreams and illusions." He nodded his head. "So do I." He smiled as their eyes met.

Venessa looked at him in surprise, and then her curiosity rose.

He never really went into the details of all the powers that bring the Inheritor of Erebus provided him.

"So, by using this Potion, you could make someone forget who they are?"

"There are limits, but if the mind is too weak, and that person yearns to forget their past and wants to escape their miserable life, then yes, it is possible. It can also be used to make them hate someone they liked, but if they truly love someone, the implanted notion would eventually fade away."

"But the damage would be done." Venessa smiled. "Some words once said can never be taken back."

"Yes." He nodded to her words and then planted a kiss on her head. "Slept well?"

"Mhm.." She rested her head on his shoulder and kissed his neck, breathing in his intoxicating scent.

Keith kept reading the book for the next few minutes, but eventually put it back in his space ring when Venessa started planting kisses all over his neck and face.

He knew what her intentions were, and what she wanted, and so he simply pinned her under him, making her giggle playfully.

She spread her legs apart to get him between them and then sneaked her left hand inside the covers to grab onto his hardness and guide him inside of her.

"Mmmph~" She moaned in gratification when he filled her to the brim, and proceeded to wrap her arms around his neck, staring right into his eyes that had suddenly changed their colour to the haunting amethyst shade.

"Make love to me." She demanded, and he obliged with a smile by starting to move inside of her in a slow but pleasurable rhythm.

Venessa pulled him down in a kiss, and contently tasted his divine sweetness as he made love to her with great care and gentleness.

She loved this side of him just as much as she loved his aggressive and passionate side in the bed, and lately, she had found herself desiring his gentle side for their morning sex routine.

An hour later, the two of them exited their bedroom and arrived in the dining room where their Shadows had prepared breakfast for them.

"So, where are we heading next?" He asked.

Today was supposed to be the last day of their vacation, but Venessa wanted to spend more time with him, and he agreed to spend the rest of the month with her.

Though he had to attend a meeting in Kashmir, it could be postponed, and he had already informed its key figures about it last night.

"New Zealand." Venessa smiled at him. "It's time we visit the mountains." She knew that her son loved mountains a lot more than beaches, and she smiled some at the smile that crept on his face.

"Okay." He nodded to her and then checked his phone.

There was nothing to catch his interest. He just went through the messages related to his business and the current affairs of the city.

"System, how long before the Invincible Halo wears off from the next Child of Destiny?" He asked in his mind.

{Kylian Dusk, the Child of Destiny, will meet an accident on November 27th and will awaken his Spirit Eyes. His invincible Halo will wear off in late December.}

Keith signed when he heard those words. He had to wait for several months now for the Child of Destiny to awaken.

"Since I have taken care of Ye Tian, can't he awaken ahead of time?"

{No, Host. He has his destiny planned for him, and he needs to awaken at the right time. However, if you try to take his life right now, there's a possibility that he might awaken ahead of time. You could also achieve results if you eliminate the person he cares about the most in his life. But you must understand that killing a Child of Destiny right away would only earn you half the Fate Value they have on them, and the rest has to be plundered through other methods.}

He sighed again and then returned his attention to the phone.

There was nothing he could do about it now. And letting the Child of Destiny awaken at his designated time was indeed more beneficial to him as he could gain more Fate Value from the favoured son of Destiny at that time. Besides, Kylian Dusk was not supposed to meet his Main Heroine in this world, and the girls he was destined to meet here were just vases that were meant to be left behind, none of which interested him.

"System, what would happen to the Heroine of Destiny he was meant to meet in the other world if I kill him here?"

{Destiny would find a way for her, and she would probably find her mate in form of another Child of Destiny. And if she is not a Heroine born with a very high Fate Value, she would just live her life without ever meeting a Child of Destiny, unable to achieve everything that Destiny had in store for her.}

"I see." He nodded in understanding and then smiled as something finally caught his attention.

He just received a picture from Alana. His songbird was in Sameran City, and she had not come alone this time. There was a teenager with her in the picture, her adopted little brother, and the favoured son of Destiny, Yexuan Parker.

"Who's that?" Venessa curiously asked when she saw the young man in the picture with Alana.

"Yexuan."

"Her little brother?"

"Yes." He nodded to her and then put the phone aside after replying to his Songbird, focusing on his breakfast.

He was not bothered by the presence of Yexuan in the city, or the fact that this young boy would be staying at his Manor.

Right now, even though he had returned in time, he was but a Mortal, someone who was in no position to bring harm to anyone around him.

But he was curious about something.

Why had Yexuan decided to come to his home?

He knew that Alana could never force him to come, which meant that he was there on his own accord.

Was it to protect his sister from his claws? Or was there some other reason behind his decision?

Keith narrowed his eyes at a sudden hunch, and it told him that Yexuan was there to see Amelia.

He wondered what he had done to his dearest wife in the time this Child of Destiny had returned from.

She was after all a Child of Destiny too. Did he kill her? Or did he choose to conquer her in that time as well?

"Is everything okay?"

"Yes, mother." He smiled at her and then stopped thinking about it.

Whatever it was, he would eventually find out about it. And Yexuan had made a mistake if he was there to see Amelia.

Nothing could escape Rebecca's eyes, and he was sure that any abnormality in Yexuan's behaviour would be caught by her. She would call him on her own accord if she finds anything weird about Alana's younger brother.

And Keith was quite curious if he would be receiving that call or not.
