Walker Of The Worlds-Chapter 2807: Three Months After The Escape

Three months had passed since Lin Mu and the group had managed to escape the Osteri Divine World.

The first week had been a bit anxious for them, as they didn't truly know if the Spatial Channel was stable. But after no mishaps occurred during that time, they calmed down and returned to their usual routine.

Meng Bai would train with his spear and practice his formations under the guidance of Daoist Chu and Lin Mu. Monk Hushu would simply meditate, while Daoist Chu would also cultivate when he wasn't practicing his own formations or helping Meng Bai.

Lin Mu, on the other hand, had spent the first month recovering. The injuries he had sustained took longer to heal than expected due to their depth and severity. Internal injuries always took longer to mend than fleshly or surface-level ones, after all.

But after that, there were no lingering problems, and he too got busy with his cultivation.

He practiced the Omnicore Ascendancy Technique, absorbing the materials he had accumulated over time. He had obtained a vast number of them across the past three worlds, which allowed him to further grow and refine his elemental cores.

His wood core had reached the largest size, and Lin Mu could tell it wouldn't be long before it reached full completion.

It was almost the same size as a normal golden core and was already showing tangible effects. Lin Mu could feel his vitality increasing and could instinctively sense that his resistance to toxins—or even outright immunity—had improved significantly.

Other than the Wood Core, the Earth Core and the Metal Core had also increased by quite a lot, but they were still only half the size of the Wood Core. It would take some more time before their effects became truly apparent.

His Fire Core was just a few percent smaller than the Earth and Metal Cores, while his Water Core was about a tenth the size of the Wood Core now.

His Wind Core was even smaller, with the Lightning Core being merely the size of a fat rice grain.

Lin Mu spent the first three months achieving this progress, and by the time the fourth month rolled around, he had depleted all the new resources he had gathered.

HUUU~

"Looks like the next world will be when I reach full completion for the Wood Core," Lin Mu reckoned aloud.

Monk Hushu had said that the Silent Lotus World would contain plenty of new resources and that it shouldn't be too difficult for Lin Mu to obtain many of them.

As such, Lin Mu was looking forward to their arrival, though they still didn't know exactly how long it would take to reach their destination.

'Another two to three months most likely,' Lin Mu thought to himself. 'Or maybe more.'

The original time they had estimated was six months, but with the unstable teleportation channel, it was likely to have been extended. It was hard to tell for sure. Still, it didn't matter too much in the long run, as this period gave them all an opportunity to grow stronger and enjoy some rare peace.

And truly, when compared to the harrowing events in the Shanxi World and the Osteri Divine World, just being in the Spatial Channel, residing in a quiet courtyard, felt like a vacation to Lin Mu.

With the Omnicore Ascendancy Technique now on pause, Lin Mu began to think about what he should do next.

'Qi cultivation is still growing slowly, and body cultivation won't increase for a while.' Lin Mu had reached the Four-Legged Bull stage for the Tyrant Bull Marrow Secrets relatively recently, after all.

As for the Three Apertures Invoking Technique, it had reached the first stage of the Aperture Linking Phase, which was equivalent to the Fourth Tribulation Stage of the Immortal Realm. Lin Mu could technically focus on it, but it wasn't something that needed his full attention at the moment.

'I can always allocate some time to it, but I'll still have more time left in a day,' Lin Mu mused. Then a thought struck him. 'Wait… I almost forgot. I had that!'

He recalled the technique he had obtained back in the Shanxi World.

"Spectral Phantasm Strike," Lin Mu read the title on the book's cover aloud. "I suppose it's time to try it out. I do have the Spectral Mirror Stones with me," he muttered as he took out a pouch from his spatial ring.

Though perhaps it would be more accurate to call it Spectral Mirror Sand rather than stones, considering the size of the particles.

"Hmm… how much do I need for it though?" Lin Mu wondered, frowning slightly. There was no mention of the required amount in the manual.

"I'll just start with a small amount and see how it goes," he decided.

With that, he read the technique one more time to ensure he hadn't missed anything important, then took out a small pinch of the Spectral Mirror Stones.

He then went over the introduction of the technique.

"Form a thousand specters, and even gods shall not escape your strike!" Lin Mu still found the line quite domineering, but he moved on to the actual learning section.

'With Immortal Sense, find the specters within…' Lin Mu read the line and followed its instructions carefully.

SHUA

His Immortal Sense rose from his head and traveled along his arm, reaching the grains pinched between his fingers.

HUALA

As soon as his Immortal Sense connected with the grains, he felt a strange, dizzying sensation wash over him.

Everything seemed blurry and slightly out of place, as if Lin Mu were suddenly intoxicated. If not for the fact that all his other senses were functioning perfectly—and that he hadn't consumed anything—he might have believed he was actually drunk.

"Strange…" Lin Mu muttered, narrowing his eyes as he tried to discern the cause of the sensation.

A full minute passed like this before the sensation faded away completely.

The Spectral Mirror Stones between his fingers had also vanished, as if they had evaporated into thin air.
