Chapter 501: Different Heights

Because that is how rare Mayeux talent was in the Steppe. Aeryon could even say he is truly lucky to have such a person.

While it is undeniable that Aeryon and Belarion is the one that expanded the tribe, without Mayeux, it would not be as orderly or as fast as it is without having some problem on the rear.

The same for Burchu. With his spear skills, there is no place in the Great Steppe that he could not thrive

Instead, he choose to ride his horse to serve Aeryon.

That is because he believe that only Aeryon could let him have the stage to show his abilities

Capable people could choose and the weak could only accept.

This invisible prestige could sometimes help and who knows how many capable warriors right now is tempted to selling their skills to Aeryon?

The other tribes chief, some of them is wise and could see that Aeryon reputation rising is not exactly good for them.

Some only saw the short-term disadvantage of Aeryon action and deed but not the long-term advantage.

This is related to their ambition, their world views, and their limitations.

Aeryon ambition is too high and grand, too lofty so the way they look at problem and the way they solve it is different

Aeryon wanted to create a dynasty that last.

So, he created a foundation.

And he wanted to be praised and admired so, doing great deeds emulating great warriors of the past and wise king in ancient times is something that he believe added colour to his foundation

But most of the chief just wanted to expand and increase their grazing land.

Some might have a large ambition like creating a great tribe and become an overlord of the region they are in.

And then they are exceptional people like Dama who wanted to compete with Aeryon for the ownership of the entire Southern Great Steppe.

But not all people could see thing clearly.

And those who could not see things clearly is without a doubt would be eliminated sooner or later.

From the moment Aeryon began playing politics and stirs up the situation, it is like he is forcing the other chief of the Southern Great Steppe to improve and adapt and the end result is more and more are proficient in playing politics and become stronger.

Some of them is just imitating Aeryon method. But that alone is an improvement. Because Aeryon method is a mixed method of this era governance and his knowledge of another world.

It is customized for this era and the stronger the Southern Great Steppe, the more it would be profitable to take over it.

If this was a football league, then it is like Aeryon is the ace player that is parachuted into a weak team and with him inside the weak team, he created synergy and forces everyone around him to level up to at least be able to receive his pass.

Hence, there is this scene of the Southern Great Steppe tribe is becoming stronger and upgrading themselves by the day

Most tribe in the Southern Great Steppe is no longer just peaceful, they are arming themselves, holding feast and competition to attract great warriors, married their daughters and sons to other tribes and powerful clans to win support to further their own goal

The trend of hegemony has arisen and every chief knew that to survive in this new wind that is blowing, one must be strong and sturdy.

Even if you do not want to fight for the world and only wanted to bet on the winner, even the bettors had to have strength to be qualified to even sit on the betting table.

Warriors has more employment chances and those with ambition began roaming the Southern Great Steppe in search of their favoured lord.

While other tribe is thinking of new plans, in Brolgadhr tribe, the matter of Garron death and Utgard change of leadership is an issue that surely would be debated. Aeryon eastern border is now not secure.

This is the opinion of the Elder Council and when dawn came these Elders all informed the others to meet in the Elders Gathering tent a large tent near the half-completed Palace

Most of them inform Rukari and Rukari adjusted the meeting to be in the morning. They would discuss and probably suggest some things to the Kan.

There is also the changing of title ceremony and feast that needs to be planned if Aeryon wanted to take the title of Khan, trying to make it as legitimate as possible.

There is a lot of things that needs to be discussed and done. In the past the Elder Council is decided by Rukari alone.

But now the tribe is bigger and the interest is different. Their power as the advisor to the chief has decreased a lot especially with Aeryon being the chief but they are used in many ceremonial events

Ceremonial events in this era is not like ceremonial era in modern world. It is very important and is a method of gathering the people hearts to lean on you

But while the Elder Council is worrying of the impact of Ogura ,what is the chief of Brolgadhr is doing right now?

The sun just shows its face on the horizon. Aeryon woke up and ride his horse at dawn. He did not inform any of his servants

And he did not punish them for failing to serve him.

He did not sleep well last night. It is not because he changes his sleeping place. But because the problem in his mind is occupying most of his thoughts. With such tangled thoughts, it is hard to fall asleep.

Now, he is riding his horse outside the city and soaking in the mist and breathing the clear air

He never feel tired at it. The green grass that is stretched out endlessly like an ocean, the fresh air that rejuvenate the lungs, he never get tired of it

He has been here for over a year.

Still, he does not get tired of it. Because the world he comes from, even when breathing outside one had to think of how many harmful thing one inhales in.

Aeryon once had a crazy theory that it is because of the air that the people of this world grows up to be so strong

Even the common people in this world is stronger than even modern man who would train themselves in a gym all year long.

His horse is neighing and it seems that it is happy.

This horse needs to be trained and Aeryon notices that his horse become even more faster after riding him a few time.

He has many horses but today he rode the horse that is enhanced by the system

His horse is being trained by him and he also training himself.

Riding and shooting.

He got a few game while he was riding and he slings it on the side of his horse.

Then he would go the usual stream of water and begin practicing punching and kicking.

Ayera probably wanted to meet him. Mayeux would be the same. Ayera probably wanted to do something against Ogura. And Mayeux probably wanted to advise him to focus on the west.

He could guess what those two would want to ask him. And as for the others they probably are thinking of what he would do now.

Will he lead his men to Utgard. Or will he focus on the west. If it’s the west, then right now they should be focusing on the Cha Ner Ul Alliance.

If its Utgard, then taking Utgard means they would encroach upon the east

Which means he had to face Dama.

Aeryon had never underestimated Dama. He did not make a habit of underestimating enemies

At times, he could be impulsive and arrogant but he also choose his opponent when to do this kind of thing

His arrogance derived from confidence. As for Dama, he is confident that he could defeat Dama but he also knows sometimes, not all things would go according to what you want

Dama had also expanded a lot and he and his tribe has strengthened a lot since the beginning.

And then there is the mountain tribe that he had subdued.

This is not a game. He could not just fight and if he lose try again. He understand the threat of the East.

But now, he is focusing on the west. It is never wise to focus on two front especially when the front is too wide and large

Aeryon have many enemies. The enemy that is exposed is easy to fight it is the hidden ones that is more of a headache.

Aeryon is sure, that if he attack the East right now, all the tribes in the west and even some other tribes on the north would allied with each other to attack him from the back

Or maybe, they would not
