Chapter 239 When The Black Token Was Shown, The Elven Guards Kneeled!

"Thanks, Alister."

Zanna thanked Alister for listening to her request to save the elves.

She knew how selfish Alister was. Alister would only save someone as long as they were useful to him or if it was for the sake of his interest.

In response, Alister nodded his head and replied, "Welcome. If you want me to cause genocide in this world or save the world, I will do it for your sake. Even if you want me to kill the Goddess of Fantasy, I wouldn't hesitate to kill her."

"As long as I can do it, I will do it just for your sake." 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝙤𝙫𝒆𝓵.𝒄𝙤𝒎

Hearing Alister's promise, Zanna teleported out of the carriage and kissed Alister on his lips, before teleporting back inside the carriage.

Such abuse of magic, only Grand Mages like Alister and Zanna dared to do it.

Other mages would dare not spend their mana like a rich prodigal. For Alister and Zanna, recovering their mana was as easy as breathing.

After receiving Zanna's kiss, Alister smiled and returned to his driver's seat. Flicking the reins, the wind agile horse neighed and used air steps.

The wind agile horse stepped into the air and pulled the carriage towards the air above the tallest tree in the forest. The magic enchantments engraved on the royal carriage were activated and its wheels started rolling in the air as if it was solid ground.

The royal carriage had previously teleported in the middle of the forest. Unless Alister destroyed the trees at the front to create a path or activate phasing magic, it was impossible to travel through that sea of trees.

Since both method was too troublesome, Alister opted to drive the royal carriage up to the sky.

The wind agile horse was well-known for having the ability to fly by stepping in the air. Or more like, most monsters who had reached the overlord-level could fly by stepping on the air.

However, unlike most monsters, the wind agile horse was very fast in the air and could also move so fast that it seemed like it was teleporting.

But in this case, Alister didn't use teleportation and let the wind agile horse move at the same speed as before.

Because of that, Alister and Zanna could enjoy the scenery as they saw a sea of green. They didn't fly too high and only flew above the tallest tree in the forest.

It took them a week of travel before they saw a very large clearing in the forest. In the middle of the forest, there lay countless buildings with a huge palace in the middle.

Although Zanna and Alister were still several kilometers away from Reoserin City, they could already see Reoserin City and know its layout due to their superb magic vision.

Even the magic barrier around the inner area of Reoserin City couldn't block Alister and Zanna's magic vision.

'There is a Master Mage in Reoserin City. It seems that Reoserin City is one of the main cities of the Lyathas Kingdom. Not like that changes anything. After all, my horse is as strong as the strongest powerhouse in Reoserin City.'

'Even if the Elf King himself is here, he would have to kneel and apologize to me if he ever offended me. I can pretty much do whatever I want in this world as long as Fantasia doesn't interfere.'

While Alister was having that thought, the royal carriage soon arrived outside the city walls of Reoserin City.

Alister flicked the reins and the wind agile horse moved towards the entrance of Reoserin City which was blocked by soldiers.

As soon as the royal carriage landed, the elven soldiers knew that a big shot had come.

The royal carriage looked even more expensive than the royal carriage that their duke had used. Furthermore, what frightened the soldiers the most was that the horse pulling the royal carriage was far stronger than them!

As the soldiers guarding the entrance, the soldiers weren't weak. They were all 6th-Circle Mages.

But they were surprised to find out that even with their 6th-Circle Mage power, they couldn't see through the horse's power. None of them could recognize the wind agile horse since they didn't have access to the royal library.

Furthermore, they weren't scholars who focused on researching magic or learning more knowledge. Because of that, they didn't know what monster the horse was.

Like the horse, the coachman was also stronger than them and even more handsome than them!

'Fuck! This guy is literally a human! How can a human be more handsome than us elves!'

One of the city guards was unconvinced that a human was much more handsome than them.

They could accept if the human was stronger than them. They could even accept that a horse was stronger than them. But a human being more handsome than them was something they couldn't accept!

However, they couldn't do anything since whoever was inside the royal carriage, was someone they couldn't afford to offend.

To have a coachman and horse stronger than them while having a very expensive royal carriage engraved with countless magic enchantments, whoever was inside the carriage must have a powerful background which they couldn't afford to offend.

Although the elven city guards knew that, they still had to go with the usual procedure. After blocking the gate and preventing the entry of the royal carriage, one of the elven guards walked towards Alister the 'coachman' and spoke, "Show your identification token and pay the toll fee."

In response, Alister took out a token from his pocket which he had prepared for occasions such as this one.

When the black token was shown to the elven guards, the elven guards' faces went pale and they immediately kneeled towards Alister!

The black token shown to them has two star symbols engraved on it and the material used to create his black token was very expensive as it was made out of black magicite, a rare mana crystal.

It was the black two-star token that symbolized the presence of a Grand Mage!
