Apocalypse: Transmigrated General's Daughter Uses Space to Survive-Chapter 84: Finally Leaving Seclusion
Chapter 84: Chapter 84: Finally Leaving Seclusion
When she was entering the space, she had used her consciousness to move the backpack inside the living room.
She took out the two hundred and fifty crystal cores from zombies and the five from the rats and brought them to the table for her family to look at.
"We split the crystal cores evenly but Ye Xuan gave me all the beast cores. He also gave me another beast core he had obtained before while we were resting between the battle.
I used it and it was very useful in restoring my spiritual power." Chu Miao explained innocently but her family caught something else.
"Why did he give you all the beast cores and left none for himself? He even gave the one he obtained before." Her silly brother asked. His brain was online for once.
"He said I needed it more than him and keeping them for himself, even if he used them would only waste resources." Chu Miao again explained.
"But how could it be considered a waste of resources when he is using the beast core to cultivate?" The butler who always had a low presence also asked in confusion.
"I think he has guessed that something is different with us. He didn’t ask anything or make any comments, but he should have realized something and figured that I could use all the energy in the beast core." Chu Miao explained her assumption.
"As I expected, I didn’t misjudge him. If someone else had made such a discovery, they would have probably used it against you or made use of it to get other benefits.
Hahaha...it’s good that the boy is not greedy. In this crumbling world, even though our family can fight well and protect ourselves, it is not realistic to isolate ourselves and not get involved with others.
If we could become a team with trustworthy people who aren’t greedy and won’t stab us in the back, that would be a good thing." Grandpa Chu said as he Chuckled.
He was happy that Ye Xuan had left such a good impression on his granddaughter. The two would make a formidable force to be reckoned with if they got together.
In this small courtyard inside the space ring, the idea that eventually bore the most formidable alliance and the strongest couple in the apocalypse was conceived.
"Bunny, you said that Ye Xuan told you that you could put the beast cores to better use, are they different from zombie crystal cores?" Her father brought the topic back on track.
"Indeed, the beast cores are slightly different from crystal cores from zombies. Check them out and compare and you will notice the difference."
When everyone heard her, they each picked up a beast core and started examining it. Soon, they noticed the difference.
"There is a black mass of something like a cloud inside the beast core, which is absent in the zombie cores." Said Chu Hao who had good eyesight.
"Yes, it is similar to the fog that caused the mutations. Unlike the zombie cores that can only be used to restore superpowers, the beast cores can also restore spiritual power." Chu Miao told everyone what she had discovered.
"I tried it and it works. Even though there is not a lot of spiritual power inside a single beast core, it is still helpful if combined with spiritual spring water."
"That’s excellent news. If we are in a place that prevents us from entering the space to cultivate and restore our spiritual energy, we can use these mutated beast cores to recover without raising any suspicions." Grandpa Chu was happy about this development and his good impression of Ye Xuan became even better.
For him to give away something that could potentially save a life, it was a commendable act.
"Then we have to collect more beast cores in the future. This way, we could have emergency supply for any difficulties." Chu Hao said. He also admired Ye Xuan a lot.
That iceberg looked like it didn’t have a heart but it was quite tactful.
"Yes, we should start hunting both zombies and mutated beasts now." Father Chu agreed with this suggestion.
"Okay Bunny, let’s go outside, we’ve been in here long enough."Grandpa Chu said. He didn’t want his family to get used to the environment inside the space and become challenged to stay outside.
In the space, the temperature was constant at 25° Celsius, while outside was like an oven. Such a difference in temperature could pose a problem if one wasn’t careful.
"Let’s get the food I made first, it seems that it’s morning outside. Time for breakfast. So let’s go have breakfast." Mother Chu said as she walked into the kitchen and grabbed a try.
Father Chu followed along and took a bowl of cold dish and Chu Miao took the rest.
The family exited the space and almost passed out because of the heat that assaulted them.
The temperature was too different from that of the space.
Chu Miao looked at the thermometer hung on the wall in the living room and saw that it read 46° Celsius. It was only six in the morning and the sun had risen for less than an hour and the temperature had already soared so high.
She couldn’t imagine what level it would be by midday.
The power had already been switched off so, the air conditioning was not working. She turned on the solar-powered generator and some breeze started to fill the house
However, everyone knew that with the temperatures rising constantly, the comfort offered by air conditioning was limited.
They would need to place ice in places where they sit or sleep and turn on a fan to blow cold air and help them cool down.
The family then sat in the dining room to have breakfast together.
It felt like an eternity had passed since they last shared a meal, but in reality, only three days had passed in the outside world since they entered seclusion, but for those in the space they had endured more than half a month.
