[BL] Dear Hushand, I want divorce-Chapter 77: Rival
Chapter 77: Rival
Ash’s pov ;
It had been precisely one week since I began working as Elijah’s personal secretary, and each day felt like a thrilling blend of work and pleasure. Our routine was a delicate balance of professionalism and passion, with every moment spent in his presence overflowing with excitement.
Every morning, we would arrive at the office together. Elijah’s firm grip was a constant source of reassurance, and I relished in being by his side both personally and professionally. The other employees quickly grew accustomed to seeing us together, and it felt exhilarating to have him as my boss.
I used to hate it in the past but not anymore.
During the day, our work dynamic was efficient and productive. Elijah would assign tasks with confidence, and I took pride in completing them to the best of my abilities. From time to time, he would lean over my desk to check on my progress, his warm breath tickling my neck and sending delightful shivers down my spine. These moments often led to playful banter and secret kisses when no one was looking. And it’s so exciting to kiss secretly like this.
Our lunchtimes were mini escapes from the demands of our jobs. We would find quiet spots in the office or venture out to a nearby café. Elijah always made sure to choose places where we could enjoy some privacy.
But it was during the evenings that our passion truly ignited. As soon as the office emptied out, leaving only the two of us behind, the atmosphere would turn heated and steamy. The professional façade dropped away, replaced by an intense desire for one another. We often stayed late under the pretence of work, but it never took long for things to heat up between us.
One particular evening, as I was sorting through some files at my desk, Elijah approached me from behind. His strong arms circled around my waist, pulling me closer to him, his lips brushing against my ear, "I’m really tired."
I turned to face him, feeling the heat of his desire radiating towards me. "Is that so, Mr. Stone?" I teased in a low voice.
A mischievous smirk played on his lips as his hands roamed over my back. "Yes, and I believe it’s time for a break."
Before I could respond, he captured my mouth in a deep, passionate kiss. His hands found their way to my face, pulling me closer to him. Our tongues danced together in perfect harmony, and I lost myself in the intensity of our connection.
We stumbled towards Elijah’s office, barely breaking the kiss. As soon as we were inside, he locked the door and pressed me against it, his body flushing against mine. His skilled hands traced patterns over my chest, expertly unbuttoning my shirt.
"You’re so fucking hot, baby," he growled, nibbling at my neck with gentle bites.
I let out a soft gasp, tangling my fingers into his hair. "Elijah," I moaned in pleasure, arching into his touch.
His hands moved lower, undoing my belt and sliding into my pants. The sensation of his fingers wrapping around my growing arousal sent electrifying shivers down my spine. "I’ve been thinking about this all day," he admitted hoarsely.
My own breath hitched as he stroked me with an expertise that left me wanting more. "Me too," I confessed between ragged breaths, completely consumed by our mutual desire for one another.
We moved to his desk, the polished wood cool against my bare skin as Elijah lifted me and put me on it. His gaze burned with intense desire, and I felt a shiver run through me at the hunger in his eyes. He leaned in, kissing me deeply, his hands tracing every curve and dip of my body with fervent exploration.
Lost in each other’s embrace, our moans and gasps filled the room like a symphony of ecstasy. My senses were overwhelmed by the taste of his lips, the scent of his skin, and the feeling of his touch. It was as if we were two magnets, drawn together by an irresistible force.
As we lay tangled together afterwards, catching our breath and basking in the afterglow, Elijah looked at me with a satisfied smile. "I love having you here," he said, brushing a strand of hair from my face.
My heart swelled with affection as I smiled back at him. "I love being here."
The days continued in this whirlwind of work and passion. Every moment with Elijah was like a rollercoaster ride, thrilling and exhilarating. We found ways to steal kisses and touches throughout the day.
But amidst all the fun and steamy encounters, there was something deeper brewing between us. The way Elijah looked at me, the way he touched me- it felt like more than just physical attraction. There was an unspoken connection between us that made my heart race and my soul feel at home.
As the week came to an end, I found myself eagerly looking forward to each new day with excitement and anticipation. With Elijah by my side, everything felt right. And in those stolen moments of passion, I knew that I had found something truly special- a love that ran deeper than mere physical attraction.
However, there’s something that’s been making me really furious. Vanessa. That woman is out of her mind and relentless. She’s like a bad penny that keeps turning up, and her constant interference is driving me insane.
Vanessa had made it her mission to be around Elijah as much as possible. It was as if she had some sixth sense that alerted her whenever we were having a moment together. She’d pop up out of nowhere, batting her lashes and pretending to be oblivious to the fact that she was a complete nuisance.
"Seriously, does she have a tracking device on you?" I muttered one day as I watched her waltz into Elijah’s office for the umpteenth time that week.
Elijah sighed, rubbing his temples. "She’s persistent, I’ll give her that."
Persistent? That was an understatement. She was a shameless, attention-seeking pest. I started calling her "the leech" in my head because she latched onto Elijah and sucked the life out of any pleasant moment we tried to have.
Every time she showed up, she had some excuse. One day it was about a project proposal that needed urgent review. Another day, it was to discuss an upcoming client meeting. And don’t get me started on the "accidental" run-ins in the hallway where she’d conveniently trip and try to fall into Elijah’s arms. As if I didn’t see through her cheap tricks.
"Honestly, Elijah," I said one evening after Vanessa had once again barged into the office and I shooed her away. "Does she think she’s starring in some cheesy romance drama? ’Oh no, I’ve fallen! Catch me, my hero!’ It’s pathetic."
Elijah groaned in irritation, shaking his head. "She’s definitely...enthusiastic. And it’s making me fucking mad."
"Enthusiastic? More like delusional. She’s like a bad soap opera character that doesn’t know when to exit stage left."
It wasn’t just her presence that irked me. It was the way she looked at Elijah, as if she had some claim on him. The way she’d glance at me with barely concealed disdain, clearly wondering who I was and why I was always around.
"Do you think she even realises how obvious she is?" I asked Elijah after she’d finally left his office one evening. "I mean, her attempts at flirting are about as subtle as a brick through a window."
Elijah sighed, pulling me into his arms. "You know you’re cute when you’re jealous, right?"
I huffed, rolling my eyes. "I’m not jealous. I’m just...annoyed. There’s a difference."
"Sure, there is," He laughed while giving me a soft kiss on my neck. "But I love seeing this side of you. It’s so adorable and lovely ."
"Endearing? Watching her parade around in those ridiculous outfits, pretending to trip and fall into your arms? It’s pitiful."
Elijah’s laughter filled the room, and he kissed my forehead. "You’re cute when you’re worked up. But don’t worry, my love. You’re the only one I have my eyes for."
I appreciated his reassurance, but it didn’t make her any less annoying. Vanessa was like an itch I couldn’t scratch, and she was getting on my last nerve.
One day, she came in wearing a ridiculously low-cut dress, her cleavage on full display. She sauntered over to Elijah’s desk, leaning forward just enough to make her intentions clear. "Elijah, I need your opinion on this," she purred, pointing to some document she was holding.
I rolled my eyes so hard I thought they might get stuck. "For crying out loud, is she trying to get your attention or audition for a role in a bad porno?"
Elijah’s lips twitched, a hint of amusement dancing in his eyes as he glanced at me. "She’s persistent in a very bad way."
"Persistent? She’s shameless!" I exclaimed, frustration bubbling in my chest. "If she bends over any further, she’ll be doing yoga."
Despite my annoyance, I forced a small laugh and tried to maintain a sense of humour about the whole situation. It was the only way to stay sane amidst Vanessa’s relentless pursuit. But as each day passed, my patience wore thinner.
"Elijah, if she comes in here one more time with some flimsy excuse, I swear I’m going to lose it," I said one day, pacing back and forth in our shared office.
Elijah’s expression turned serious as he looked at me. "I’ll talk to her so don’t worry too much. I don’t like seeing you so worried."
And he did try. But like a stubborn cockroach, Vanessa seemed impossible to get rid of. Every day she found new ways to insert herself into our lives, her desperation growing more apparent with each attempt.
But through it all, I clung onto the positive: Elijah and I were solid, and no amount of Vanessa’s interference could change that. Yet that didn’t stop me from mentally calling her every name under the sun. Shameless, delusional, desperate...the list went on.
No matter how hard she tried to weasel her way into Elijah’s good graces, I knew one thing for certain: she didn’t stand a chance against our love.
But damn if she wasn’t pushing every button and getting on my last nerve with her constant scheming.
