Blood Nemesis-Chapter 52: Execution 1
Chapter 52: Execution 1
From his investigation, Oliver deduced that the city was a mess. Demons have infiltrated and are doing everything in their power to take over it.
’They are smart.’
’No, the best thing about demons is that none of them are stupid. If the base IQ of a person is 100. Demons would all be about 110 or higher. That’s the real problem.’
’There was no real way for me to help a stupid person. They would fall into the demon’s traps all on their own.’ Oliver sighed.
’Demons didn’t really have to manipulate a smart person to work for them. They could achieve the same by using stupid people.’
’And the fun thing is that the world is filled with stupid people.’
Oliver scratched his head.
While compiling and sorting out the data, Oliver came across a lot of situations where demons were doing the exact same thing again and again. Their strategy was not that hard to understand.
First, they would come to a new region and take over the body of a stupid person. Then, infiltrate criminal organisations. After that, they manipulate the criminal organisation to do their bidding.
Finally, reveal themselves. However, by that time, the criminal organisation would be too tangled up with the demons and whatever they were doing. It would be impossible for them to extricate themselves from the demon’s influence after that.
From there, they take over businesses. Their main targets are logistical businesses like delivery services, home renting, and entertainment business like news media, movie productions company, idols management company, etc.
Business helps them maintain their ability to spread into other areas easily.
’They are masters.’
Oliver had to give it to them for their skill in destroying society from the inside.
’Currently, the main problem is the void stones being smuggled out through M-fresh, one of Indra’s companies, and the aggressive merger and acquisition of valuable companies by demons.’
’Even if thorough testing to find demons is implemented. The wealth they already secured would not disappear. And as everyone knows, money can move mountains in human society.’
’They would be able to reemerge soon with that money by repeating the cycle.’
’This is more than a headache.’
Oliver leaned back in the chair.
The bright computer screen before him contained all the data he was evaluating.
’If Root were here, he would have been able to crunch through the numbers and easily find a way to strike where it hurts them.’ Oliver thought.
Root’s ability allowed him to interface with the computing systems directly. Considering how smart he was, it was like giving a tiger wings.
Oliver was able to see the big picture easily. But at micromanaging everything, he was a little, maybe a lot weaker compared to Root.
’In this life, I don’t want them to become villains. They should be known as heroes. I need to make that possible.’ Oliver muttered.
There were few people he called friends. And just like how he wished nothing bad would happen to his family, Oliver wished the same for his friends too.
"Anyway, Root is not here. I can’t possibly yank him out of his class to work for me yet. I need to solve the problem all on my own. So, what can I do?" frёeweɓηovel.coɱ
Oliver sat on the chair for the next few hours without moving.
He was in deep thought, figuring out the exact method he could use to destroy the demons and his enemies while avoiding most of the responsibility.
’Ah! It’s going to be a painful few days.’ Oliver thought and stood up.
A plan had formed in his mind, and it was time to execute it.

Another week passed by.
Stephen walked into a hall filled with people. Most of the people inside were older men in their thirties. Other than him, there was only one kid in the hall.
Suddenly, a scar-faced man came to the center of the room and stood beside the kid.
"Young master. We don’t know who it is." Although the scar-faced man looked ferocious, he bowed in front of the young man and said, "Please report it to the master."
"It’s been a couple of days. He ransacked three of our bases, stole from M-fresh, and even stole the computer hard drives. And yet, you couldn’t touch him. What were you doing?" The young master shouted. His full cheeks bobbed up and down as he ripped apart the sandwich in his hand.
The young master, the kid near the scar-faced man, was the son of the owner of M-fresh. He was the chubby, short little boy who hated Arin.
He was shouting at the thugs his family had hired to vent his frustration.
For the past few days, someone has been breaking into M-fresh and its affiliates and stealing money, data, and other valuable items.
The people who were supposed to guard it were the thugs before him. And yet, they failed again and again.
Other than getting their ass kicked, they were not useful at all.
"And you. Isn’t that scar across your cheek proof enough that you are not useful?" The young master screamed again.
The scar-faced man was a C-rank superhuman. But during the battle with the thief, he was shot multiple times with armor-piercing bullets. The injury on his cheeks was from the bullets grazing his cheek.
"We don’t need you anymore. My father is going to hire someone better. He said he would bring a few B rankers and an A ranker. You can leave." The young man said proudly.
"But." The scar-faced man tried to negotiate.
"There are no buts. You have no information, and you can’t stop him. You should leave." The kid shouted again while chewing on his sandwich.
"Do you have anything to say?" He asked again.
No one answered for a while.
Suddenly, Stephen, who was standing nearby, raised his hand.
"What?" Stephen and the young master were classmates. Still, he shouted at him.
"I think I know who it is," Stephen replied, his voice cracking at the end.
"You?"
"Yes."
Everyone’s gaze turned toward him.
"Who is it?" The young master squirted his fatty eyes and asked.
"I think it is Arin’s brother." He spoke in a feeble, powerless voice.
