Bloodline of the Wizard-Chapter 351 - 175 Quiet Cultivation, Living Steel_2
Chapter 351: Chapter 175 Quiet Cultivation, Living Steel_2
Kosti once said that after becoming a Level 3 Wizard, he would officially start to delve into the core inheritance of the Magic Ring. At that time, one needs to weigh which Magic Attributes to study in detail to cultivate multiple systems simultaneously. Understanding these matters now is like making an early precaution, allowing for preliminary planning of a future magic system.
Ronan was looking around when suddenly he heard the sound of wings flapping overhead.
He looked up and saw a clear voice falling rapidly from the darkness above.
"Hey, Damien."
A colorful parrot with bright feathers spiraled down in beautiful arcs, landing swiftly onto the long table’s surface before playfully greeting him with a wink, "Are you getting accustomed to staying here?"
Borbi.
Ronan was slightly surprised by the arrival of the Illusion Parrot Borbi.
"Why have you come?"
"I came to see you."
Borbi preened the feathers on his wings with his large, spiral beak and replied to Ronan in a playful curl of the tongue, "And I brought you some things on the way."
With that, Borbi lifted his claw. The Space Ring on his claw flickered, and immediately there appeared over a dozen various bottles and jars on the table between him and Ronan.
Borbi spat out a small piece of Rune Stone, pushing it in front of Ronan, "All these are Magic Potions that can help a Second-level Wizard to enhance spiritual power. There are also a few for Level 3 Wizards... Here are the methods for using them in combination. You use these first, and when you run out, I’ll bring you more..."
Ronan’s eyes flickered as he reached out to pick up a semi-transparent white Crystal Bottle from the table. Inside, he could see dozens of black, strange worms constantly twisting their bodies.
These worms were covered in bizarre patterns, and upon closer inspection, one would find they resembled human faces expressing happiness, anger, sorrow, and joy.
"Ming Si Worm larvae. So many?"
Ming Si Worms were highly prized Magic Potion Materials. A Ming Si Worm the size of a fingernail possessed intelligence not inferior to an ordinary person. Such creatures benefitted Wizards in enhancing spiritual power. Ronan had read about Ming Si Worms in a Magic Potion book and once used his privileges as a member of the Sixth Ring to collect such resources, but without success.
He had not expected Borbi to bring him so many all at once.
"Was it the Ring Master who sent you?"
Ronan looked up at Borbi. Borbi smiled, "Of course, who else would care about you so much except for Kosti."
Borbi fluttered towards Ronan, glanced twice at the plate in front of him, then used his claw to scribble a bunch of exotic and odd dish names on a black tablet beside him.
"You must try these dishes while you’re in the Ascetic Room, Damien!"
"They’re delicacies you definitely can’t taste outside, hmm, if they haven’t changed chefs in these two hundred years... you shouldn’t be disappointed.
Alright, Damien, see you next time, take care!"
Borbi whistled a long note, then waved at Ronan, flapped its wings upwards, and swiftly disappeared into the darkness above.
"Is that the exit?"
Ronan stared in the direction Borbi left, then slightly squinted his eyes.
He soon calmly checked over each item Borbi left behind. Finally, taking the bottle containing Ming Si Worms, he carefully poured out a black worm and, after a moment’s hesitation, slowly put it into his mouth.
After chewing, Ronan thought he heard a woman’s sharp cry, then his mouth was taken over by an extreme nausea and greasiness.
Just like the description in the book, consuming Ming Si Worm directly was extremely unpleasant, and it was better to eat them coated in honey.
But this was also the most effective method of usage.
While chewing, Ronan already felt the Ming Si Worm displaying its magic effect as the second Spiritual Power Crystal in his mind visibly swelled rapidly.
"Crack--"
When the sensation of swift growth ceased, Ronan opened his character panel and saw the [Strength] section’s progress for a Second-level Wizard had increased from 40% to 42%.
Just one Ming Si Worm increased his Spiritual Power Progress by a full 2%, and he still had at least twenty more!
"Indeed, it’s a Magic Potion Material that is very precious even for Level 3 Wizards, these over twenty Ming Si Worm larvae must be Kosti’s private collection..."
Ronan felt a slight stir in his heart.
Before entering this current "Ascetic Room," Kosti verbally expressed doubts about him advancing to a Level 3 Wizard in three years, qualifying to compete for the Heramus Genius Seat at the Southern Wizard Genius Gathering.
Yet she turned around and sent Borbi with a large amount of precious resources to help him sprint towards Level 3.
This woman... really is as insincere as ever.
After musing for a bit, Ronan tidied up the materials on the table, took out his personal tea set, brewed himself a cup of black tea, and continued to peruse the Rune Books on the shelves around him.
He was beginning to like life here.
Without needing to worry about anything, with food and resources being delivered on time, all he had to do was practice and gather knowledge methodically.
For most Wizards who sought stability, this place was simply paradise.
After sipping two cups of black tea, Ronan put down the Rune Book in his hands, stood up, and walked towards the gray door that represented the Metal Attribute Inheritance Mark Space, then pushed it open and walked in.
In the Ascetic Room without the distinction of day and night, time flowed like transparent grains of sand, silently slipping through invisible fingers.
