Captive Mate BL-Chapter 480: + - +
Chapter 480: +Chapter 480+
Silvia looked like she was about to start crying from happiness, taking out her black card without a hint of hesitation. "Do you need my help picking out clothe..."
"No thanks," Angelo hastily turned her down already backing away. "I just need your help with weapons."
Silvia looked like she was about to chase after him and insist he let her tag along to the store. "I’ll get you your usual stock, let me know if you need anything else."
"Thank you!" Angelo called to her from a distance, glancing at Kris by his boss’ side who hadn’t had so much as a reaction to seeing him. The mostly silent himbo was good for his boss.
Angelo got back in the car and drove off, reminding himself to buy himself a new phone while shopping. He knew that Silvia wouldn’t let him pay her back no matter what so he didn’t bother offering, a new phone and some clothes wouldn’t even make a dent in her bank account.
The cars tailing him resumed and he wondered if Silvia had noticed them, he wouldn’t be surprised if she had. He wasn’t in danger however and even if he was, he could handle himself.
Angelo had been around the entire city several times because of his previous job, he knew obscure places because of that very reason so finding a decent store wasn’t difficult.
He specifically chose one in a quiet corner that didn’t get a lot of customers. This meant that the prices were sky high, but he didn’t mind this because with their prices so expensive, he knew he would find what he was searching for.
A worker approached him as he walked in, she was polite, her demeanor professional. Angelo told her what he wanted and she swiftly took him to a section of the store, walking off to give him privacy to browse through the clothes.
She didn’t go very far, however, Angelo could easily tell that she was lingering around in case he needed anything. He refocused on the clothes, the entire section was in shades of black.
Angelo wasn’t picky, he went for function over aesthetics, perfectly fine with wearing the exact same thing day after day. He took out a few combat-style pants and form-fitting shirts to try on.
The store worker seemed to appear out of thin air as soon as he was done choosing to direct him to a dressing room.
Angelo’s blood chilled at the offer, aware that the dressing room would be lined wall-to-wall with mirrors. "Just an empty closet would be fine," He said instead.
The store worker didn’t miss a beat, clearly used to catering to an eccentric clientele. "Certainly, right this way please."
Angelo sighed in relief after taking a look at the closet, the store worker gestured him in and told him that she would be waiting right outside in case he needed assistance.
The closet was kept clean with a couple of mobile closets and stacked boxes. He hung the clothes on one of the mobile closets and undressed, he just wanted to make sure the clothes fit and that the straps and pockets were in easily accessible spots.
Two sets of clothing closely matched his requirements, one had a heavy-duty belt that surprisingly didn’t weigh as much as it looked. It would be perfect for storing throwing knives and stars.
The tops didn’t come with a lot of modification, there were straps on the arms and some around the chest and sometimes on the back, so he went with the most comfortable ones, stepping out of the closet in no time, wearing his hoodie and loose pants.
"I’ll take fifteen sets of these," He handed the clothes he had gone with to the store worker.
She took them easily, but there was a hint of surprise on her face, customers buying in bulk was strange because the rich didn’t fancy repeating clothes. "Anything else?"
"Shoes," Angelo replied like her question had reminded him that he should be getting shoes.
He was still wearing the running shoes he had worn to kill Nikolai, he had only a single pair, he needed more.
"I have a suggestion that would go great with these clothes," The store clerk was quick to say.
Angelo followed her, he had been about to get a couple more pairs of the running shoes on his feet, they did the job so he was fine with them.
She brought him to a shoe section of combat boots, there were all kinds, high-boots, heavy duty, steel-toed... Angelo went for a pair of lightweight combat boots, the height of which was perfect to hide a knife.
With his shopping done, he went to the counter to pay. The cashier took his black card without batting an eye, charging his bill to it. Angelo had bought quite a lot of clothes, but he wasn’t even allowed to carry a bag to the car, a couple of store workers pitching in to take it to the car.
Angelo had barely spent fifteen minutes in the store, he just needed to buy a phone and then he would answer Nikolai’s summons at the casino. He wondered if Nikolai needed him for something and what he would be asked to do while he stayed at the Mafia King’s side.
He thought back to the night at the gay strip club, his skill-set wasn’t very broad, but he was pretty good at the few things he could do, killing and disposing of people were right at the top of the list.
Getting a phone was quicker than buying clothes had been, and in no time he was back to the apartment complex. By this point, the men tailing him no longer hid, they swerved in at the same time he did, a few of them walking over.
Angelo was curious, thinking that Nikolai had given them a message for him. The Mafia King couldn’t be upset that he had ignored his order, could he? Angelo intended to obey it, he just needed to be prepared for whatever it was he had to do.
Instead the men just went past him to open the back seat of the car where the store workers had put all of the clothes he bought to take it up for him. freewebnoveℓ.com
Angelo wanted to shut them down but the thought of making multiple trips up and down the stairs made him swallow down his pride and allow it.
