Cosmic Paragon-Chapter 51: Fighting with the Twins

Drake took a deep breath and took his First step, while calling out softly.

’BARRIER POWER: ENERGY ARMOR!’ A thin transparent energy armor covered

his body like an extra layer of skin.

Second step

’EARTH POWER: ENERGY ARMOR!’ An earthen yellow energy sprang into

existence around him like a defensive armor.

Third step

’GRAVITY POWER: ENERGY ARMOR!’ A golden aura burning like a flame ignited

on the earthen yellow energy armor. In that moment, the power of earth and

gravity merged. The fusion of these two powers gave birth to heavy earth energy.

Earth and gravity power were originally part of the same power, but gravity power

could only be mastered by an earth Mage at the 6 star Mage level. At that point

their power would be called Heavy earth power, the fusion of earth and gravity

could bring forth terrifying power.

Now that Drake was using the power of Heavy earth energy. His strength had

practically doubled. As his strength surged, he felt like he could lift a mountain.

For every step he took he activated a power and for every power he activated his

imposing aura rose and his momentum continued to build up.

When he took the last step, he activated the ’Eye of Order’. And everything

became clear before his eyes. The rushing Wind wolf suddenly seemed to be

moving in slow motion.

The wolf’s speed was clearly faster than the others Grade 2 wolves and thanks to

the wind power buff, it was e even faster. an air of brutality rushed forward as it

moved. When it approached Drake, the wolf’s speed suddenly exploded, viciously

pouncing at his chest.

Fwoosh!!

Following the slight twist of Drake’s body, a violent wind blew past his face,

making part of his face slightly sting. Drake squinted his eyes and the ’Eye of

Order captured every move by the wind wolf, his right foot that stepped backward

when he twisted his body took a large step forward, and his Moonlight covered

sword plainly thrust forward, continuously piercing the wolf’s side twice.

The Wind wolf let out a pained howl, quickly turning around, but it did not

attack, instead

raising its head, letting out a deep howl.

The twins instantly vanished from their position the next second they appeared

on both sides of the injured wolf.

There was no hesitation as they both slashed their swords at the two sides of its

neck.

There was a flash, and both swords slashing from both sides cut of the head of

the wind wolf.

Immediately, all the wolves within all the other five peak Grade 2 Wind wolves let

out a howl in response and then turned their heads together, charging towards at

Drake.

Drake examined the current situation, there were Six Peak Grade 2 Wind wolves

attacking him right now then there was the Alpha Wind Wolf.

There was only him and the twins here right now, and none of them could escape

from the current situation unscathed.

With a howl. all of the wolves unmistakably charged at him. Against such a force,

even

a team of 2 star Mages would run away from such a lineup.

Hell, even an early stage would run away scared, not childishly thinking that they

could fight off the simultaneous attack of 7 wolves. Drake’s eyes scanned their

locations, but Drake felt his blood heating up and did not run away, instead he

headed straight for the first wolf.

Thanks to their high agility, most of the time when Drake slashed at the wind

wolves he missed. He finally managed to stab the midsection of a wind wolf but

before he could direct any more attacks at it, the other wolves pounced on him

while the hurt wolf retreated.

Unfortunately that would not be enough to save its life. The next second the twins

teleported an arrived one in front of it and the other behind.

The hurt wolf waved its claws at the one in front of it, but only getting air, he had

teleported again and appearing right on top of it. The wolf bit at him with its large

jaws wide open, but before it even moved, the second twin had already accurately

predicted its move,

he teleported to the left side of the wolf,s neck and slashed at it. The wind wolf

sensed the danger and twisted its neck to dodge unfortunately it had forgotten

that there was another one Peter’s sword descended and pierced into its skull.

The critical hit instantly killed it.

The other four wolves had already been entangled with Drake. The sound of wind

from four different directions came at Drake, he was looking at only a single wolf

but his vision was focused on four. Thanks to the ’Eye of Order ’ an iMage of all

the wolves along with all their movements appeared in his head.

A wind wolf had strong explosive power, and their attack speed is amazing. But

with so many of them attacking only a single target, they naturally restrained

each other.

Under his acute senses, reactions and judgment that surpassed a humans limit,

when the 4 wind wolves raised their bodies making pouncing motions, their

movements, direction, and line of displacement clearly appeared in his head.

His body suddenly lowered, right foot kicking at the ground, using the force

generated from the kick to charge forward with his body at an unbelievable angle.

Immediately, two gusts of wind carrying a bloody aura sailed across his back. His

left hand lightly touched the ground, his body doing a nimble roll using the

charging momentum, The 3 wolves attacking from the left , right and behind

missed.

He lowered his torso to the ground dodging the wind wolf’s jaws. Finding that

Ling Chen had unexpectedly appeared beneath it, that wolf quickly twisted its

body, opening its mouth, using its sharp fangs to bite towards him, but Ling

Chen’s movements were a lot faster than its. The sword pierced into the wolfs

chest and dragged a long cut across its belly.

Its Blood and internal organs poured out and it fell dead to the ground. That stab

had gone through its heart.

As soon as he got to his feet he jumped throwing a spinning kick back that

caught a wind wolf in the side of its head. The wind wolf let out a painful

whimper as it fell to the ground and rolled away.

Just as it stood to its feet both the twins had already teleported to it, with Peter

jumping over it and Paul sliding under, they both slashed with their swords

through its neck. Blood spurted like a fountain and the Wind wolf’s head went

flying.

Drake turned to the remaining to Wind wolves and the twins teleported beside

him also, with their eyes locked onto the Wind wolves their killing intent surging.

They were shocked at how easy it was killing these peak level Grade 2 Wind

wolves. On a normal day, they would run the instant they saw a Peak Grade 2

magical beast. But, Drake was sending them flying with just a kick, it was mind

blowing.

They were so excited that it felt like their blood had been ignited, their battle

intent had reached an all time high.

Paul asked, "Hey boss, when did you get so strong? Don’t tell me you are a 3 star

Mage now!"

But Drake shook his head, "No I’ve only just gotten to 2 star Mage, the reason I’m

so strong is thanks to my Triple layered armor."

"Wow!"

They did not ask any questions, but they were indeed shocked by how powerful it

was. Then they thought ’it’s only natural for their boss to be so powerful. After all

he is our boss!’

What they didn’t know however, was that apart from his increased strength, the

other reason that Drake was capable of this was because of all his intense

training and mastery of combat even before he became a Mage. Drake had a

reputation for mastering every weapon and several close combat techniques.

To him, fighting against these beasts that had no technique was like an adult

bullying a child.

The two wind wolves snarled angrily at the humans but they did not dare to

charge. They were thinking. ’What the hell? We’ve been looking down on these

humans, yet, Six of us attacked together because we wanted to finish this fast. It

has not even been one minute since we attacked and four of us are already dead.’

’There is no way in hell I’m charging. Are you kidding! Fighting against these guys

is paramount to courting death! I may be angry but I’m not stupid.’ This was the

difference between magic beasts and wild animals. Magical beast had awareness

and were smart, higher level ones could even be compared to humans, while Wild

beasts were just Fools hat act on instinct.

At that instant, an intense berserk pressure descended upon the battlefield, it

was an aura that suppressed the two Wind wolves completely.

Drake and the twins hastily turned to the Alpha wolf. It had stepped forward into

the open space that was their battlefield and it was glaring at the three humans

with pure malice in its glowing cold blue eyes.

The Alpha Wolf issued a snarl and the two Peak Grade 2 wind wolves stepped

back retreating into the crowd of wind wolves.

Aowuuu!!!

the Alpha wolf raised its head to the sky and gave a resounding howl.

Peter’s eyes sharpened, "Looks like th big wants to have go!" his grip on his sword

tightened, he was expecting that this would not be an easy fight.

"Humph, he don’t scare us. Let’s get him!" Paul snorted, and raised his sword to

chest level horizontally pointed at the opponent.

"Calm down you guys, we cant look down on the opponent."

Drake immediately dashed forward while the Alpha wolf was still howling not

waiting for it to attack. He knew just how important it was to take the initiative in

these situations.

The opponent was a large beast that was over 5 meters tall but it was several

times faster than his top speed. He could not give it the chance to us its speed or

they would be doomed, and the only way to stop it from doing so was to attack it

from up close.

He had maximum assurance that even though the Alpha wolf was faster than

him, it would be over as long as he got close to it.

’With my skill level even if I can’t kill it, I should be able to force an opening for

the twins to kill it.’ Drake thought, ’With their teleportation it should be relatively

easy for them as long as they’re careful.

He quickly closed the distance between them, just as he arrived three meters

from the Alpha wolf it lowered its head.

It parted its jaws and in an instant Wind attribute magic power formed a two foot

large sphere of concentrated wind.

Drake’s eye’s abruptly widened in shock, "Crap it can use magic power to shoot

long distance attacks!"
