Cosmic Paragon-Chapter 64 - 65: HURRICANE!
Chapter 64: Chapter 65: HURRICANE!
The Golden Crown Tyrant Black Hawk furiously cried out and flapped its wings.
It’s aura flared and its magic power surged.
Suddenly there was a powerful explosion and a terrifying gust of wind blew forth
throwing its assailants off.
Its wings beat and the Golden Crown Tyrant Black Hawk vanished from their
sight only to appear high in the sky.
SCREEE!!!
With a resounding cry magi power swirled around the Golden Crown Tyrant Black
Hawk and its aura surged. The Golden Crown Tyrant Black Hawk opened it beak
and suddenly a terrifying suction force was generated.
It was like a black hole had been born in the sky but this was not a black hole,
instead it was a result of wind power being controlled by the Golden Crown Tyrant
Black Hawk.
"What the hell is this?" Drake and the twins hastily retreated down to ground
level trying to find somewhere to hide and avoid the suction force.
Drake activated his heavy earth power as he stood on the ground, and the power
of the fusion of these two powers being used in tandem anchored him to the
ground.
However, just as the were still busy with these they suddenly saw Sylvia floating
right above them in the direction of the suction force.
NO!!!
Drake and the twins panicked and hastily launched forth to pull her back but
every time they tried to make attempts at catching her, the Golden Crown Tyrant
Black Hawk would brandish its wings shooting out a wind blade that forced them
to retreat.
Sylvia was anxious that she had fallen to the suction ability, but her expression
soon became tranquil. She realized that it was probably the end her.
Sylvia felt fear because of her impending death, she also felt relief as though she
was finally being released from some kind of burden. But then there was also
reluctance after all it had taken a lot of effort to get to this point.
The end of Survival training had been so close yet now she had to retire.
Sylvia hated herself for being too weak. Cassandra had done so much to get her
to this point, she had sustained heavy injuries resisting the Golden Crown Tyrant
Black Hawk, yet now all those efforts were about to be wasted.
Sylvia sighed and thought, ’All I am is a waste, I just cause problems or get in the
way. Maybe I should just die.’ once this thought took root in her heart it started
to grow madly eating away at her.
Sylvia always wore a jolly expression when she was outside, but that was just a
facade to comfort others so nobody would worry about her. She was actually a
very sad person on the inside.
Unlike for regular Mages who only awakened their magic powers later in their
childhood, Sylvia had always had great magic power since her birth.
It had always been very hard for her to control this power but she had always
been cherished by her family. Everyone always took care of her and her best
friends were her cousins.
One day while she and the twins were playing at the pool behind her home, she
had gotten a bit too excited and by accident she used her wind power. The
powerful wind ability had sent the young Paul at that time flying for a few meters
and into the pool.
Paul didn’t know how to swim yet at the time and had almost drowned if it
weren’t for one of the maids coming and saving him.
Sylvia had been frightened at that time that she had nearly killed her cousin and
since then her Wind powers terrified her. She had accepted that her Wind powers
were dangerous and would eventually lead to her hurting someone if she used
them.
Sylvia sealed away her Wind powers since then and no matter what she would
never use her magic power for anything. Her family had tried telling her it was
okay and that that incident was just an accident but she never forgave herself
enough to use her power.
A few years went by and the day soon came when the twins magic power
manifested and everybody was happy but Sylvia still chose to keep the lock on her
power. This is because she had read a while ago that a person that had just
awakened their magic power was still much weaker when compared to someone
who had done so years ago.
She could also sense it herself. At that time she didn’t understand why, but
somehow she could feel the power difference in the strengths of her and the twins
magic powers.
The twins magic power could only be compared to a weak candle flame while her
wind power was more like a destructive Tornado. If she dared to use her power
around them she could instantly wipe them out.
This feeling scared her even more, she was now more terrified of her magic power
so she swore she would never use it, ever.
But as time went by her powers grew stronger and stronger making her feel like
she was a mine waiting to go off. She had no control over her wind power and she
feared what would happen if it ever came out.
But now she would die!
She would finally be free.
She remembered the words Drake had used when she had first told him about
her magic power.
"Wind is free! Wind is unrestrained..." he had said.
"Looks like I’m finally going to be free." Sylvia smiled as her agitated heart
calmed.
In this moment she could feel herself as if she was just a weak entity surrounded
by the terrifying forces around in the atmosphere. And inside she could also feel a
power that was locked up.
She knew this powerful inside force all to well, it was her magic power that she
had sealed away all this time.
Normally she always felt stifled with it there, but today she had surrendered
herself to the Golden Crown Tyrant Black Hawk. She could simply retire from the
Survival Training and the protective barrier would appear and she would be safe
but she didn’t do that.
She did not want to do that. Right now she anted to die so she could be free.
"Sylvia!"
"Sylvia!" ƒreewebɳovel.com
She could hear somebody calling her name. In the distance.
"Mom go away, I’m tired! Let me sleep." she responded softly.
"Sylvia!"
"Sylvia! Wake up."
"Sylvia!"
Sylvia wanted to open her eyes and look around and chase away whoever it was
that kept calling out to her. Her senses reached out and she felt the familiar
presence.
Peter, Paul!
"Save her hurry!"
there was another voice filled with anxiety and urgence.
Cassandra?
Sylvia suddenly shook. ’That’s right what am I thinking?’
’I can’t die!’ she thought, ’What would happen to Dad If I died? Or Aunt Anna or
Peter and Paul? They would all be distressed.’
’I can’t let that happen! I can’t die so they call all remain happy.’ thanks to that
one voice of her new friend that had suffered so much to protect her from the
Golden Crown Tyrant Black Hawk she found her reason to survive again.
’I must live.’
Sylvia could hear the voices of the twins and she could even hear Drake’s voice
too out there.
She wanted to struggle and escape from the Golden Crown Tyrant Black Hawk,
but she couldn’t. ’How! what do I do?’
Suddenly she felt a ripple from her soul. It was something that seemed to always
have been there yet for some reason she had always ignored.
Wind!
"Wind, all my life you are he one that has been the closest to me. You have always
been there when I needed you to be and when I didn’t.
Yet, you are also the one I have hated and rejected the most. But all this time that
I have rejected you and sealed you away, I have only been restraining myself."
As she said this she remembered Anna’s last words to her before she had left for
Alpha academy.
"Sylvia, I know you fear your power. But your personality is free and unrestrained
I just hope that one day you will learn to let your power loose so that you can be
truly free."
"That’s because you are a Wind Godslayer. A Mage with the greatest power of
wind." Anna smiled softly and continued, " But this isn’t because you control the
Wind, it’s because you are, the Wind!"
"Because even though I treat you as an enemy you are actually me, and to
restrain you means restraining myself, I finally understand that now.
Starting today I will no longer hold myself back I will be me and I will no longer be
restrained." Sylvia felt a knot in her heart become undone and she could finally
breath.
She felt all her feelings merge with the surging wind power, it longed to escape
from its shackles, for freedom!
Drake’s words once again resounded in her mind and she finally felt like she
understood them.
Sylvia called out the words as the came from her heart.
’Wind is free! Wind is Unrestrained! Wind is wild!’
HURICANE!
