’’ So, this is the famous Zanpala University everyone is talking about’’ Kailen’s gaze peered through the transparent windshield of the car, appreciating the massive entrance for a few moments.

The car passed through the massive entrance of the university, revealing what one would refer to as a city in its own wise.

The taxi Kailen was in, alongside many other vehicles, sped past massive building complexes and people roaming the streets of the university. Some of the buildings were skyscrapers, others were story buildings. However, they had extremely beautiful exteriors that spoke volumes of quality and resources that had been invested into the design of these buildings. One didn’t have to be an expert in architecture to appreciate the amount of resources that went into these buildings, as just a single look at them would be enough to leave that impression on one’s mind.

’’Incredible, if one is not informed that this is a university and not a city, one would not believe it. Perhaps I’m awed because this is my first time venturing into a university, however that doesn’t change the fact that this place lives up to its reputation’’ Kailen revealed a honest expression of shock and appreciation as he took in the view.

The driver chuckled as he glanced at Kailen through the rear-view mirror ’’I’ve been driving people to this university over the years and all the first timers here have similar expressions on their faces. Zanpala University is really the pride of the Zanpala nation. If my son can enroll here one day, even if he spits on the grave of his ancestors, I won’t mind’’

Kailen nodded at the driver’s words. However he was dumbfounded at the fellow’s manner of using figures of speech. The man would not mind even if his son spat on the grave of his ancestors as long as his son was able to enroll in Zanpala University one day?

’’Of all the expressions he had to use? Are all the people in the capital this wild?’’ Kailen chuckled inwardly.

The driver stopped before an extremely large car park adjacent to a very large and tall skyscraper that seemed to pierce through the clouds.

’’The awakener’s center of the city is as far as anyone who is not a student, or staff member can go. Since you’ve already paid the fare sir, feel free to hop off. Thanks for your patronage’’ Kailen nodded at the white skinned driver’s words, then got out of the car, ignoring the sound of the car driving off.

’’Well, the officer did not tell a lie about this one’’ Kailen stared at the skyscraper before him. Just the exterior of the building boasted magnificence. The building was extremely wide for a skyscraper and it’s height was not traceable to Kailen, at least from standing on the ground. This was the Awakener’s center of the capital city of the Zanpala Nation.

’’Maybe I could visit here to utilize the facilities when I have the chance’’ Kailen mused to himself as the familiar recommendation plaque handed over to him by that weird lady appeared in his hands from the space ring.

His gaze lingered on it for a few seconds ’’According to the guide I read online, I’m supposed to take this to the administration building which is located behind the awakener’s center. It means that building is right behind this one’’

Kailen navigated his way past a couple of people, some teenagers and other adults.

However occasional glances would be directed his way.

He figured it was probably due to the fact that he was in a hoodie when it was summertime ’’These fellows can take a chill pill, I’m wearing what I’m comfortable with’’ He ignored the onlookers, then walked towards a street that stretched adjacent past the awakener’s center.

A few walks later, he stood before a skyscraper on whose exterior was written Administration block.

However, a large group of young people, some teenagers and some in their 20’s and early 30’s had gathered Infront of the administration block, jittering about something.

Kailen perked up his ears, listening in on the conversation happening amongst the crowd.

’’This senior is really something’’

’’He said no one with a special recommendation is allowed to enter the administration building unless they can withstand a blow from him’’

’’What’s his rank?’’

’’He seems to be a B ranked awakener. I heard some rumors from some university students passing by that he repeated the same thing last year’’

’’Yeah, I heard that last year, he beat up a couple of people trying to enroll through special recommendation blue and black to the extent that some fainted’’

’’The university rules permit these things?’’

’’Of course. From what a former senior of my high school who attends this University said, these things are pretty common. As long as the person does not end up with life threatening injuries or does not end up dead, the university will just treat these kinds of things as a small scuffle between young people’’

’’But how are we gonna even get admitted with this guy around?’’

Just when the individuals were in the middle of conversing, a hurtled figure moved through the sky, landing right in front of Kailen.

All attention landed on the guy lying at Kailen’s feet.

The individual’s face was swelled up in various levels, with blood oozing out of his mouth. His face was akin to bread that had been soaked in water and had been scrunched up.

The crowd felt a chill run down their spine as they imagined themselves in the poor fellow’s situation.

Some females amongst the crowd subconsciously screamed and touched their faces, as they could not imagine themselves in the fellow’s situation.

’’Those who enroll through special recommendations are the ones I hate the most. Whiles some of us had to work tirelessly to pass the entrance exams, you guys will just use your connections without putting in any effort to enroll in the university, so disgusting’’

The attention of the crowd traced to the source of the voice, who was sitting leisurely on a stool in front of the entrance of the administration building. Two people were fanning him, radiating the auras of C ranked awakeners.

The individual was extremely lanky, boasting a height of about 1.9 meters. He wore baggy jeans and some sort of T shirt with an iconic female anime character embroiled on the shirt. Instead of sneakers, he wore some sort of beach slippers. He had bushy hair with an unshaved beard.

’’You, care to give it a try?’’ The guy pointed towards Kailen. The young man in the hoodie seemed to be extremely weak looking. The crowd’s gaze traced towards Kailen, who stood there without a care in the world, his face calm.

Kailen had completely restrained his aura from the time he left New Alexandria CIty, so no one could really tell which rank he was at.

However, Kailen’s presence gave the crowd the feel of someone who seemed ordinary.

Though he was considerably tall and easy on the eyes, and from his figure he seemed well muscular, he did not particular give off the presence of a strong fellow, seemingly ordinary.

Many therefore theorized that he would meet the same end as the C rank awakener who was currently sprawled on the ground with blood oozing out of his mouth.

’’Poor guy, he is probably terrified’’

’’He seems easy on the eyes girl, I wanted to take his number and get to know him, however he seems weak’’

Ignoring the chatters of the crowd, Kailen sighed, musing inwardly ’’If this is what the time dilation artifact meant by enjoying university life, then I’m honestly all for it. I didn’t have the time to repay the bullies at New Alexandria academy for all the beating I took from them, however it seems I’ll have to vent on this guy’’

The next thing Kailen did caused the crowd to open their mouths in shock. He raised his middle finger towards the senior, causing the gentleman to flare in anger, about to make a move towards Kailen.

However, before the crowd could figure out just why this strange guy in the hoodie had the balls to offend this powerful senior, Kailen’s figure flickered, and the next thing they saw caused their jaws to drop completely.

Boom Boom Boom Boom Boom

Kailen was trashing the senior around like a sac, his figure flashing around with speed, accompanied with booming sounds and horrifying screams of the senior.

Very soon, the screams died down, and the flashing of Kailen’s figure stopped.

The crowd saw the senior lying on the ground with severe injuries. His head seemed to have some sort of skull fracture with blood oozing out of it endlessly. His face and other parts of his body were all mangled up, blood ceaselessly oozing from him, forming a crimson pool where he lay.

The crowd felt a chill run down his spine, pin drop silence reigning at the scene.

The individuals who had called Kailen weak earlier realized they had misjudged him, their faces burning with embarrassment, fear and awe. Just who was this monster?

Kailen observed the senior he had beaten up for a few seconds, then headed towards the door that led to the interior of the administration block.

The senior’s lackeys snapping out of their fear and stupor carried him , obviously heading somewhere to seek medical attention for him as soon as possible.
