Observing the video, Kailen sighed ’’Looks like fame will come looking for me everywhere I go, and to think the guy I beat up is the nephew of the potion hall’s HOD. Well, if anyone comes looking for trouble, they will pay the price. I’m not a pushover. ’’

Kailen ruffled the towel through his hair further and slumped on the bed.

’’Always refreshing to take a cold shower’’ He mused.

It had been a few hours since he had become an official Zanpala University student.

’’Can’t believe finding an apartment to live in would be so stressful. Also, money does not work when it comes to patronizing the resources of the university. I have to settle for student credits. Had I known this earlier, would have robbed that bastard before I trashed him around. At least the university manage to deposit 500 student credits for every new student that can help one settle for an accommodation, a cheapskate and low quality one at that. I could have opted to live outside campus but there is this absurd rule indicating that students are supposed to have their accommodations on campus’’ Kailen sighed.

All the money he had ’’worked tirelessly’ to earn was only useful at the awakener’s center. When it came to the resources of the university, money was not useful. He was literally broke.

’’To think in addition to attending mandatory classes such as combat, wilderness survival, potion making amongst others that can naturally earn me 5 credits every day, I need to take non compulsory extracurricular classes such as performing art, engineering, engage in duels with other students, amongst others, if I want to earn small amounts of student credits. Also, money cannot be exchanged for student credits. In addition, if one fails to participate in assessments, 5000 credits will be deducted from you. This university is really heartless’’

His gaze lingered around the room for a few seconds then he sighed ’’I need to move out of this cubicle. The quickest way to earn credits for that is to embark on missions. However, I cannot miss classes, as the rules I read indicated that missing classes will lead to a deduction of 400 students’ credits. I don’t even have any credits at the moment, so missing classes will make me owe the university credits in addition. To think everything, they told us in high school about having your freedom to do everything you want in university would be lies. Tsk’’

Kailen sighed, then decided ’’I cannot be in this room come morning. I should probably head out to take a mission. Wait, unless there is a simpler method’’

A wicked grin graced his face, his eyes revealing a crazy glint ’’Right now, not everyone probably knows about me, as this university is extremely large. I’m sure however, that my face is pretty well known from the video about the incident at the administration block circulating around, so people will rarely approach me to cause trouble for me. Also, I could have just decided to use my strength to intimidate people to plunder their student credits, but if I do that, I will be just like those bullies I loathe. It would be better to disguise myself in a way that will make those bullies willingly decide to target me, then, not only can I use the opportunity to beat some sense into them for targeting me, I can also plunder their credits in addition.

What I’m thinking of will not work unless I decide to hide my face. This means I will need a mask. That won’t be a problem since I could just create one with shadow manipulation. Tonight, my target is at least 10, 000 credits.

In addition to that, system, can you decide to manipulate my aura to make it look like I am a D ranker?’’

A few seconds later, Kailen felt the aura coming from him was that of a D ranked awakener. The time dilation artifact had manipulated his aura perfectly to suit that of a D ranked awakener.

Kailen donned a casual T shirt, jeans and sneakers, as an obsidian mask made of shadow manipulation graced his face. It was time to go out and plunder credits.

Kailen stepped out of the small cubicle, coming across a group of people moving in and out of rooms in the same building he stayed in.

Most of them were students who in one way or another, did not have enough credits to rent a comfortable apartment. Therefore, they remained in this dorm full of small cubicles.

’’These guys are poor people. I need fat sheep. To do that I should head to somewhere with social interactions and arrogant young masters, if preferably, snobbish jade beauties. What’s the perfect place?’’ Kailen mused as he left the building and strolled the streets illuminated by the evening lights, casting the shadows of various people on the ground.

His eyes lit up ’’ An elite club, a place where the assumed to be strong gather. That way, I can plunder their credits in one fell swoop’’

Quickly, Kailen checked his phone, to check the university brochure, coming across some of the elite clubs of the university

’’The Ashen Club, perfect. According to the brochure, the members are presumably C ranked student awakeners. There is however no rule indicating that those of a lower rank cannot join. However, I’m sure that there is probably some unspoken rule that those below the C rank cannot join this organization, making them steer clear of this group. After all, it is not normal that a large university club will contain only C ranked awakeners when there is no rule indicating that only C ranked awakeners can join’. If I head there, I will probably piss them off since I’m radiating the aura of a D ranker. This will probably make them attack me to ’put me in my place’ if I insist I still want to join, then I will use that as an advantage to go on a rampage and beat them up, teaching them a lesson for picking on me in addition to plundering their student credits’ Kailen mused to himself as a fanatic grin graced his face. Satisfied with his plan, he utilized the student map to head to the Ashen Club.

Kailen stood before a beautiful three-floor story building.

This was the Ashen Club. He heard the excited sounds of people, males and females alike, associated with music coming from the Ashen club. It seemed they were having some sort of party. Wasting no time, Kailen donned in his obsidian mask, entered the Ashen club.

What greeted his senses were glittering lights and some sort of fast paced pop music associated with 15 youths jumping around, screaming and dancing to the tune of the music.

However, a group of youngsters, males and females, seated on some couches were engaged in some sort of card game.

Kailen noticed that everyone in the room, those on the couches and those dancing to the tune of the music, were C ranked awakeners.

The moment they noticed him and the aura he radiated, the DJ turned off the music, then sniffed some sort of recreational drug on a sheet of paper as he proceeded towards Kailen.

’’Friend, the Ashen Club does not entertain the likes of you’’ The gentleman spoke with obvious disdain, his bad breath brushing past Kailen’s nose ,as he spat towards Kailen. Kailen dodged the spittle as it landed somewhere on the ground.

"I don’t understand. I thought anyone could join the Ashen club from what I read from the brochure, senior’’ Kailen replied to the gentleman as he mused to himself ’’Just as I deduced, they are pissed off’’

The gentleman broke into laughter, finding Kailen’s comment funny. The other members of the Ashen club to follow suit. It was obvious from just this that the gentleman who was interacting with Kailen was the club president or something.

Resting and pressing his right hand on Kailen’s shoulder in an attempt to intimidate him, the gentleman’s voice rung in the room ’’From your mask, it seems you are probably going to some costume party or something. Why don’t you turn around and focus on where you were heading to, huh’’

’Classic cliche mockery huh’ Kailen mused inwardly.

’’An uncle’s brother’s sister’s uncle’s father informed me that the Ashen club is the best on campus, so I am not leaving until I join the club today senior. Please, permit me to join the club’’ Kailen voiced, his tone boasting extreme devotion and fanatism to the Ashen Club.

The gentleman was starting to get angry.

’’ Jazz, just kick him out, why are you tolerating this weakling. From what he’s wearing, he is obviously some commoner’’

’’Yeah Jazz, beat him to a pulp and kick him out.However before that, I want to see his face if he’s good looking, then I can play with him first’’

’’As you can see, the ladies suggest we kick you out. I would have just let you off with just a small lesson, however it seems your stubborness have earned you the ire of the ladies. Take off your mask first and let them play with you, after that we can let you leave here with just a few beatings’’

Jazz was starting to grip Kailen’s shoulder with force , attempting to intimidate him.

’’Senior can I ask you one last question before I take off my clothes?’’

Jazz turned to look at the other club members, who amusingly nodded. They all wanted to hear what this commoner weakling had to say before Jazz beat him up.

’’Sure go ahead’’ Jazz nodded.

’’ How many student credits do you have and why does your mouth smell so bad?. Also don’t you know drugs are not good for your health?’’

Jazz had lost all his composure at the masked guy’s words.

His anger kicked in, causing him to launch an attack with his fists now full of spikes towards the guy’s masked face.

However, the masked gentleman’s figure sidestepped effortlessly, evading the fist full of spikes. The next thing Jazz noticed was a hand on his face, firmly gripping him. What he felt next were his senses growing disoriented, his head being slammed into the ground.

Unimaginable pain assaulted him, causing him to black out, a pool of blood coming out of his mouth, his figure sprawled on the ground.

The onlookers were utterly frightened, completely shocked at the sudden turn of events.

Although they were all C rankers, Jazz was the strongest amongst them, and yet he had been beaten by this strange, masked D ranker with just a single move?

’’Transfer all your student credits to me, if you do not want to end up like this piece of shit’’ Kailen’s cold voice sent a chill down their spines.

What he said next, caused some of them to pee on themselves.
