Kailen nodded at the instructor’s words, ignoring the various expressions lingering on him.

Gobsmacked, after observing what had just occured , Arrie found Kailen quite mysterious , caught in her own thoughts.

Nodding respectfully towards Kailen, the instructor’s gaze snapped back towards the rest of the class.

" The expedition to join the war at the border will take place a month from now. Those of you at the A rank ,make sure to increase your strength. And those of you on the verge of breaking through to the A rank, find means of doing so quickly and enhance your strength in the A rank, so that you can contribute greatly during the war if you are selected to participate"

Two figures stood outside a lecture hall, atop a story building ,their gazes lingering on the individuals sprawled on the ground like ants occasionally.

The summer sun bathed on their faces, beads of sweat occasionally trickling down their foreheads.

Students leaving the lecture hall outside of which they stood ,would shoot them a glance from time ,whispering unnecessary gossips from time to time,obviously about the duo or most likely one of them , their fellow student .

Isaac Hayes stared at Kailen for a while, staring into the distance " Seems he’s not a fan of people and interactions. I should make this quick and let him be " The instructor’s gaze then peered through the glass windows ,lingering on a dainty figure nodding her head and whispering some lyrics of a song to herself occasionally.

" Arrie Hall. The famous dual awakener who clutched first place in the assistant instructor’s exams at the beginning of the year , also Helena Hall’s daughter . To think these two monsters would be friends . She seems to be waiting for him though. Let’s get straight to the point"

Isaac Hayes glanced at Kailen "Young master Darkhaven . My elder sister is a very prestigious person in the special ops department of the Federation Military. " I’d have to politely decline. However thank you for the offer" Kailen declined the offer to join the military. Joining the military would make him be at the military ’s beck and call.

Being in the military had to do with following orders,even if you did not want to. Kailen did not want that kind of life.

Others may have deemed this opportunity a privilege. A tier 4 officer of the military could command a thousand men on the battlefield. Also inasmuch as one would get resources for increasing their strength ,one literally lived and died for the military.

Kailen had his own way of doing things. He didn’t want to be affiliated to any power. One could say he was now affiliated to Zanpala university though. However he had only attended university in the first place due to the time dilation artifact.

Isaac politely responded " Very well young sir. Then won’t waste your time. I look forward though to seeing you participate in the war. With your talents I’m sure you’ll carve a legend for yourself"

" You flatter me,instructor " The instructor nodded at Kailen’s words , then turned around and left.

"He didn’t lie about anything, neither were his intentions bad. He genuinely wanted me to join the military. However I prefer being alone on this journey. I will accept friendships with people I deem trusting, however I won’t affiliate myself with any power,unless it’s extremely necessary in some circumstances . "Just came across some of his literature ,never really said I read them you know. Anyway why are we even talking about Confucius in the first place? Do you have any ideas on how I can get resources to break through to the A rank?"

Observing the helpless expression on Kailen’s face, Arrie chuckled further to a point where tears almost fell from her eyes .

" Yeah I can excort you there . Anyway what did that guy from the Hayes family want?"

"He invited me to join the military tier 4 officer but I turned him down"

The duo left the railing of the lecture hall, heading towards the university tower.

" I wonder how well he will perform. Perhaps I should participate too?"

Charles’ eyes gleamed with interest as he stood somewhere outside the lecture hall adjacent where Kailen and Arrie stood previously with intrigue on his face.
