Oblivious to the commotion he had caused outside, Kailen stood on the ninth floor of the tower, having chosen to challenge the ninth floor.

Various carcasses, fresh to be precise, were littered around as far as Kailen’s gaze could travel.

The shadow creatures appeared before Kailen, shooting towards the approaching horde of undead creatures.

Kailen remained in the air, seated atop Vengeful’s back.

’’Nine against thousand and something huh’’ Kailen commented, staring at the clash about to occur.

The shadow creatures seemed like a bunch of clowns compared to the army of thousand and more undead about to clash with them.

’’This is definitely gonna drag out for a while. This is technically a battle of undead against undead’’

The shadow creatures finally clashed with the horde of undead creatures, each operating in their elements.

Feral’s black flames ravaged a large number of the enemies, only for more to rappear.

Everfrost seemed to be more comfortable with this environment, forming large glaciers of ice from the ground that impaled a large number of creatures in the undead legion from time to time.

Menace grew to a towering height of 5 meters, going on a maddened rampage. The shadow creature’s obsidian fists tore through a towering skeleton’s body, causing the bones to scatter towards different directions.

From time to time, the shadow creatures fought, facing death and reappearing on the battlefield again.

The undead legion grew more resilient. Inasmuch as the two sides could be revived, the numbers were against Kailen’s minions. It was common sense that they’d be overpowered.

The shadow creatures would face extinction, only to be revived the next second, joining the fight.

’’This has dragged on for too long. There must be someone controlling the horde. If I could get rid of that entity, these undead creatures will cease to exist’’ Kailen sighed as he hovered above the clouds, a tornado of lightning appearing as Vengeful flapped her obsidian wings several times. The tornado of lightning whizzed through the battlefield, razing large numbers of the undead legion into nothings.

However more would appear soon after that.

’’Head there’’ Kailen ordered after observing the horde for a couple of moments.

Soaring above the battlefield for a while and causing mayhem, the shadow creature nodded to its master’s words, heading towards the direction its master had ordered it to head towards.

’’The one with the staff would most likely be responsible for this. I played a couple of litrpg games after all. Those litches seem to have a staff most of the time’’

Kailen mused, after spotting the shadow of the Litch controlling the horde with shadow manipulation, hiding somewhere in the middle of the horde.

The shadow creature sent a large ball of lightning towards the Litch , as she hovered above the Litch in the sky.

However , the Litch raised up it’s reddish staff in the time it would take to blink an eye, causing a large ball of reddish energy to clash with the extremely large ball of lightning.

The two attacks caused the environs to grow still for a moment, then ...

Kailen quickly used shadow manipulation, causing Vengeful to turn into a stream of shadows, forming an obsidian armor around his whole being.

The collision of the two attacks caused shockwaves to spread through multiple directions so far that every creature on the battlefield , shadow creature and the undead legion commanded by the Litch included, perished !!!

Massive dents formed on the icy grounds and cracked for several kilometers on the battlefield, only to reveal a large area of complete water several kilometers wide.

Kailen stared at the damage their attacks had caused in shock " That was close"

Darkhaven’s obsidian figure moved with swift dexterity, evading the attacks of the Litch with ease, due to the power of an S ranked shadow creature brimming through him.

However the more closer he tried to get to the Litch, the more the Litch would increase th distance between them.

" Clearly ,it’s advantage lies in keeping a distance. Litches are not fighters anyway. I need to be faster than I am. This Litch is still managing to widen the distance between us even though I’m brimming with the strength of an S ranked? Not only that, it keeps shooting attacks relentlessly. I need more strength to catch up with it "

The remaining shadow creatures in the shadow expanse turned into a stream of shadows coalescing further around Kailen’s already obsidian figure.

More strength brimmed through him, strength more profound than the S ranked strength brimming through him earlier.

With the reinforcement provided by his shadow creatures, he was now on a different level compared to before.

The Litch kept shooting the balls of energy towards Kailen, trying to increase the distance between the two of them.

However it was too slow this time.

With speed the Litch could not even have the time to react to, Kailen’s fist landed squarely on the creature’s head as directed by the time dilation artifact,peircing through it.

The creature stuggled, shooting balls of the red energy from its staff ,struggling in Kailen’s grasp,it’s attempt futile.

Quickling spotting a smooth object, he crushed it quickly ,causing the movements of the Litch to cease.

The creature dissapeared finally into smothers of light.

"That was an exiliriating fight ,and yet a serious one. I had to test the limits of my strength in this battle. Thanks to this fight, I now know how strong I am. This creature seemed to be somewhere at the peak of the S rank and I defeated it without breaking a sweat after using shadow manipulation to fuse with the strength of all my shadow creatures. Also I have unlimited supply of worldly natural energy,giving me an advantage over others in battle. I can relentlessly fight without growing tired.
