From their conversation, it was clear that Seobsoo didn’t like Kang Jinwook. No, according to Kang Jinwook’s own words, she actually despised him.

Yet, for some reason, Seobsoo had suddenly jumped onto Kang Jinwook and got pregnant. Sunwoo could only think that there had to be some hidden motive behind it. Holding the contract in his hand, Sunwoo recalled the original story.

However, nothing specific came to mind. All he could recall was a few places where Seobsoo’s story was mentioned. The only noteworthy part was that she had been caught up in interfering with the main character’s and Kang Jinwook’s relationship and had ended up self-destructing.

So, there was no way to know how things had ended up this way or what method Seobsoo had used to achieve this outcome.

“Well, let’s think positively for now.”

The one silver lining was that even though Kang Jinwook knew about the pregnancy, he hadn’t threatened to erase it. In fact, he even offered to help her secretly give birth without Chairman Kang knowing.

“The best thing is that I don’t know whose child it is.”

Sunwoo gently rubbed his belly with empty hands. Right. He probably didn’t think of it as his own child. Of course, that made sense.

From Kang Jinwook’s perspective, it would have been impossible for him to have had a relationship with Seobsoo, so it was natural he wouldn’t consider it as his own.

“Then... first, I need to meet with the agent.”

Sunwoo couldn’t just stay here quietly in Kang Jinwook’s house. He decided he needed to meet the agent, whom he had only spoken with on the phone before.

Taking out his phone from his pocket, Sunwoo scrolled through the call history, only to click his tongue in frustration. He remembered that when he impulsively changed his phone, the number had been lost.

He probably had to find the business card the bank had given him.

“Where did I put it?”

Since he had thrown it into a big suitcase when he moved out of his old place, it was probably somewhere in there. Sunwoo took out the two large suitcases he had carefully stored in his dressing room and opened them wide.

It had been organized so carefully that the suitcases were completely empty. That meant there was no way to find the business card in there.

“Should I ask Kang Jinwook?”

Since the contract had come from Kang Jinwook, it wouldn’t be strange for the business card to be with him as well. Sunwoo didn’t even realize he wasn’t bothered by the thought of asking Kang Jinwook.

He simply put the contract down and left the room.

“Where are you going?”

But just after stepping out of the room and walking a few steps, he heard the voice of the person he was looking for. Sunwoo turned his head and saw Kang Jinwook, standing with his arms crossed in the hallway, blinking in surprise.

“Oh, I was looking for you.”

Kang Jinwook uncrossed his arms and raised an eyebrow.

“What, is there something uncomfortable?”

It seemed like his face said he had prepared everything in advance, as he had asked.

“No, it’s not that. Hey, why did you just go ahead and organize my suitcase without asking?”

Sunwoo asked, a bit of an accusation in his voice, but Kang Jinwook replied dismissively.

“You were going to unpack it anyway, right? The important stuff, you didn’t forget, did you?”

“That’s true... but you should’ve told me beforehand.”

“That’s the kind of thing you just do without making a fuss.”

That’s something you would do, not me.

Sunwoo was about to argue further, but then remembered that the issue wasn’t about bickering with Kang Jinwook right now.

“By the way, while you were organizing my suitcase, did you see a business card?”

“A business card?”

Kang Jinwook suddenly asked as if puzzled by the mention of a business card.

“Yeah, my agent’s business card. It should have been in my suitcase.”

Did he forget it at home? If that’s the case, then I’d have to go back to the bank and get the contact info again.

“Oh, that.”

Only then did Kang Jinwook seem to understand. He reached into his jacket and pulled out a sleek leather wallet. From inside, a business card was handed over.

“Is this it?”

“Yeah.”

Sunwoo had thought it might be with Kang Jinwook, but to find it so easily... it felt a bit strange.

If someone asked what was so strange about it, he couldn’t say for sure, but still. Sunwoo took the business card and was about to turn around.

“I told them to prepare lunch. Do you want something specific?”

As he was turning halfway, he straightened up and looked at Kang Jinwook. So, that’s why he came. It was for the menu.

Such things could be asked over the phone, though. Maybe it was just his mood, but since Kang Jinwook found out about his pregnancy, he seemed to be acting kinder.

It was unsettling.

Thinking this to himself, Sunwoo casually responded.

“You’re already doing it well. I think I’ll just eat whatever you make.”

Looking back at the lunch he had gotten so far, it seemed like it wouldn’t matter if he didn’t ask for something specific. Come to think of it, he should thank Butler Baek as well.

Sunwoo thought this as he looked at Kang Jinwook, whose brows had narrowed slightly as he stared at him.

What’s this? Why does he look so dissatisfied?

“What?” Sunwoo asked, tilting his head. “Why are you looking at me like that, as if you’re proud of your kid eating well?”

Kang Jinwook only smiled faintly but didn’t say anything more.

“Once you’ve eaten, would you like to go for a walk to help with digestion?”

“A walk?”

“Yeah.”

At the inviting suggestion, Sunwoo perked up. He had noticed the garden several times when entering through the parking lot, and it had made a deep impression on him.

“Sounds good!”

Without hesitation, Sunwoo immediately stood up. Kang Jinwook, too, leisurely started walking after him as he left the dining room.
