Infinite Paths: The Raging Phoenix-Chapter 1459: Rivalry
Chapter 1459: Rivalry frёewebnoѵēl.com
Although Rain wanted to improve the technique further using the power of the aspects as well, and he still needed to finish researching the void path, he decided to help everyone learn the simpler versions of the Origin attacks. Once the first people learn that, they can take his place and teach the others, after all.
That kind of technique required a lot of focus, and the highest levels also consumed a bunch of mana, so trying to learn it with practice was extremely hard since people would only have a few attempts. Still, the early levels were quite easy to understand. So, it didn’t take long for people like Danny and Annie to learn... since they fought using their fists like Rain. The others had a bit of a harder time since they used weapons.
"Try to use the technique against each other; don’t try too hard, though, since you don’t want to knock each other down," Rain said. "The best way to mastery is practice."
"I might want to knock him down," Annie smirked.
"Me too," Danny shrugged. "For a woman, you are quite big, where you don’t need to be, after all."
"You asshole," Annie said. "Prepare for trouble."
Rain couldn’t help but feel a bit of concern as he observed the ongoing rivalry between Danny and Annie. While sibling rivalries were a natural and understandable part of growing up, there was always the risk that things could escalate beyond mere competition and turn into something more troublesome.
However, amidst his concerns, Rain also recognized the value of pushing their limits and fostering a spirit of healthy competition. He knew that challenging Danny and Annie to push themselves beyond their comfort zones was essential for their growth and development as warriors. After all, it was through adversity and competition that they would learn to hone their skills and reach new heights of proficiency.
But striking the right balance between encouragement and caution was key. He resolved to keep a close eye on their interactions, intervening if necessary to prevent any escalation of tensions.
Seeing those two attacking each other like that really made Rain understand for the first time how much important it would be to make everyone learn that kind of technique... they were only able to use it a few times before taking a break since their bones broke even though the charged attacks didn’t reach their full potential.
"Wow... this technique sure is something, and it can even be improved?" Danny asked while he was healing his bruised arms that looked like they had been bombarded by a machine gun of paintball.
"That is only the first level. It has four levels currently," Rain said. "On the third level, I obliterated my right arm to defeat Loks."
Danny and Annie waited for Rain to laugh, but he didn’t... he was being serious. It was the first time that he told anyone who the fight ended, after all. In the end, they could imagine for how long they would have to charge their punches to be able to do that... they knew that after a minute or two, the skin of their fists would start to burn thanks to Charged Punch.
At the end of the day, the first person to pull off that technique while using a weapon had been Roan... he had to customize the portal a bit to make the sword slash pass through it the portal in the shape of a line, but at least it worked... the result was a mountain of trash in the distance that lost its tip.
"All right, I will leave things here in your hands, Dad," Rain said. "See ya."
Rain teleported away after passing that bomb to his father. He felt a bit guilty over it, but he had a lot of things to do, and Roan would benefit from that eventually as well.
"Hopefully, Danny and Annie will be able to teach the others use the technique without weapons too... I can only hope for it," Rain thought.
Lvl 80: Black Hole – Summons a black hole that consumes matter and energy to sustain itself. The more energy used, the bigger the black hole and the more resistant it will be to attacks.
Lvl 85: Void Ascendance - Ascends to a state of abyssal ascendance, becoming one with the abyssal void and transcending the limitations of mortal existence to become a cosmic entity of boundless emptiness. You can use void energy to repair yourself.
Lvl 90: Abyssal Genesis - Initiates the genesis of a new abyssal realm, where the practitioner becomes the architect of a new void reality, shaping the reality with your thoughts and actions.
Lvl 95: Abyssal Oblivion - Unleashes the ultimate oblivion, a cannon of void that can erase anything given enough time. It will hit the target or chase them forever until its goal is fulfilled or it’s blocked. Cost: 100.000 mana per second.
Lvl 100: Abyssal Sovereignty - Attains absolute sovereignty over the abyssal void, becoming the supreme ruler of cosmic emptiness and commanding the very fabric of reality with unfettered authority. Increases the powers of skills of this path by twenty percent per Level.
Rain sighed in relief when he finally completed the void path... there was still a shit ton of books that he had to read about the experiments to gain more experience, but that would have to wait... all the experiments and all the darkness and solitude that Hilo experienced... it was better to deal with all that one at a time.
"Now, onto the next step... make everyone learn the basics of the void aspect," Rain thought. "I can already tell... this one will be one hell of a training montage."
That path could only be used alone, but it has some effects that would be useful in their hands... if everyone worked together and used the power to decrease the levels of skills, even the most powerful of the machine gods would lose a shit ton of their strength.
