Her eyes were on the list of contestants which she now noticed was absurd. Some names were initials, others looked made up.

Jianwei led the remaining five people inside. They stood in line according to Jianwei’s arrangements and then removed their the heads of their costumes.

"You have got to be kidding me!" Mei Mei exclaimed in a lazy voice that almost seemed not to surprised when she saw her sister Jun Yi. "What are you doing here Jun Yi?"

"I need a summer job." Jun Yi shrugged.

Mei Mei nearly groaned.

"Also, if I am already a famous mascot, then I can bring in more donations for my animal hospital. Another reason why I should be here is because this is a camp. Camps always have animals laying around and who better to care for them than me?" She stepped forward, wearing the blue spidermonkey costume and got down on all fours and she made very perfect monkey noises.

She even jumped around from side to side and tried to climb a wall but failed. Her surprising dedication to the role was impressive until she stepped out for two seconds and returned with a long stuff.

Suddenly, she was not just a spidermonkey but a spidermonkey whose part time job was to be the monkey king, Sun Wukong. Other contestants had to step aside to give her adequate space so that she could show off. When she finished her performance, she took a bow.

Jun Yi had a proud smile on her face as she took off the head of the costume again. "I make a cute monkey, admit it. But I think the monkey you showed me had six limbs so this costume is a little lacking. Also the tail is a little heavy, can we do something about that?"

"These are trial costumes, they were made very quickly for the sake of the auditions. The real ones have some special effects and they will be tailor made to fit the chosen mascot." Mei Mei explained.

The rest of the team maintained silence, they had no questions for the boss’s sister.

"Just go...." Mei Mei told Jun Yi.

"I got the part." Jun Yi asked.

Mei Mei nodded. Jun Yi had done a wonderful job. Next, was another familiar face which the mascot team was familiar with. Chi Mi Mi, or sweet Mi Mi as she liked to call herself.

Mi Mi was princess Rize’s daughter and also Mei Mei’s cousin. She was a child star that had appeared in a few series and movies. Her goal was to join the entertainment business in future.

"Hello Mi Mi." Wu Qing waved at the cute ten year old girl who was sporting a head of orange hair.

There was no doubt about what mascot she wanted to be.

"Hello." Mi Mi answered with a giggle and she blew kisses at the four people who would decide if she would get the role or not. She batted her eye lashes in Mei Mei’s direction.

"Does your mommy know that you are here?" Mei Mei asked her.

Mi Mi nodded. "My dad too, they are supportive of my career. I am here to audition for the role of Xing Whiskers."

Lin Jianwei sighed. He really was confused by the contestants that seemed to think they had come to audition for movie roles. It also seemed like someone from the Jun or Chi family had tailored the list of contestants to bring in family members of people close to family and celebrities with a link to Phoenix Ent and other entertainment companies in their circle.

His eyes moved from Mei Mei to the other contestants. Lu Cheng who was a former wrestler but quit because of depression. He Yu, a former actor who retired because he wanted to marry and focus on his family and Yu Hao, an ex footballer that once played for the national team but retired for unknown reasons. Where he had been all this time, nobody knew.

Meanwhile Mi Mi was putting on her best Xing Whiskers performance. She even had a script that she had placed down for a moment. Her hands were on her waist and her head sticking out as she tapped her right foot, huffing angrily.

"Hey doofus." She shouted at Lu Cheng.

Lu Cheng was surprised to be pulled into her performance. "Me!" He responded.

"Yes, you, loser. I saw what you did and I am telling grandpa."

She raised her foot and gave him a small kick. Then, she stuck her tongue out and made a face at him.

Lu Cheng and the others were shocked. It was a little hard to tell if she was acting or being herself. Mei Mei could answer the question easily. It was both. Mi Mi was a bit of a brat, she was sweet but bratty.

Mi Mi looked at the judges with a sweet smile on her face. "I can do more. I thought that I should let you see her naughty side first."

"Wonderful." Wu Qing clapped enthusiastically.

If she had flowers, she would be throwing them at Mi Mi’s feet.

Mei Mei decided to end the auditions, obviously the list had qualified people. "You are all hired, we can end the auditions here. Wu Qing will take you through orientation. Those that can should start work immediately. The first week will be trial and error, we will work out the kinks of the mascot program together.

Aside from that those of you that have voice acting abilities will be hired by our camp animation studio to be the voices of your characters in an animation we will start producing next week.

Pre-production can begin today itself, Mr. He Zhenyu will work together with you to coordinate a working schedule that resolves around your mascot duties.

The money for the two jobs is separate and this will be made very clear in your contracts."

She wanted to say more but remembered that not all the mascots were present, others were already doing their job of interacting with guests. "Wu Qing, spread them out on different floors and make a rotation detail so that nobody is stuck on the same floor all day."

Wu Qing left the room with the mascots, Mei Mei then turned to He Zhenyu and Lin Jianwei to discuss how far the production had gone. They were moving very fast.
