Legendary Traveler: By Earning Progress Points I will Become Supreme!-Chapter 268: Solution for an Impasse
'Still, I have a bit of an issue here…one that I can't really tell Ant about,' Aoni thought while bringing up his TD and noticing how low his Progress points had fallen throughout this little venture; he knew there were only three choices to make.
One: Step away and go on a slaughter fest to obtain as many points as possible in a short time.
Two: Begin siphoning.
Three: Find a way to store or contain the Grade-8 Energia using an outside source.
'Option One is pretty much a double-edged sword, considering I'd need to have Ant drop his deterrent and go out on my own; my second idea is just as dumb as the first because there will be a clear limit I won't be able to surpass…and then there's the third idea.'
Tearing his eyes away from the ethereal window housing his stats, Aoni scanned the room with his Inspection Display, looking for anything useful.
His goal was a book or tome about artifact creation, or at the very least, crafting; after all, everything here came from a Mage tower, so the chances of there being something with step-by-step instructions on making a container to house Energia shouldn't be that odd…right?

Twenty minutes and a bunch of questions from Anthony ignored, Aoni sat with a new pile of books spread out in front of him.
"For crying out loud, will YOU STOP IGNORING ME?" Anthony whined, causing Aoni to snicker at his expense.
"Dude, chill; I'm looking for something that you'd probably say was useless, and well, in your hands, it probably would be, but for me, not so much." Rolling his eyes and picking up the first book, Aoni blew off the dust coating its cover and paid 200 points to translate it.
With a soft flash of Red-tinted blue light, the contents of the book magically changed into English, causing Ant to release a startled gasp and then cover his mouth with both hands because he had not long ago sworn he wouldn't be surprised by whatever crazy stunts his brother pulled off.
"Crafters Guide to Low-Grade Magic Artifacts…Aoni, I know that's your wheelhouse and all, but isn't it a bit of a stretch to think you can make some random Elvish Technology?"
"Any less of a stretch than me wanting to inscribe Circles on my EC?" Aoni shot back, earning a grunt from his brother.
"I haven't brought this up yet, but I have a bit of an issue that can only be fixed through something I make by hand."
"Issue?"
"Yeah, let's just say the amount of benefits I can get from Grade-8 Energia leaves a lot to be desired. Regardless of that fact, I won't be able to keep working to break down the seal until I find a workaround…THUS, book." Holding it up in a showy manner, Aoni quickly opened it and flipped to the glossary.
'Power sources, power sources, anything resembling a core or source…'
---
"UGHHH, STOP MENTIONING THE DAMN THING IF YOU WON'T TELL ME HOW TO MAKE ONE!" Hurling the ancient text into a pile of translated rejects, Aoni fell onto his back in defeat and stared up at the chamber ceiling.
Eight books read, eight books rejected. Honestly, Aoni'd found more than a few things that he wouldn't mind tinkering with, but the goal of his search continued to allude him.
"You ready to talk to me about what you are trying to find? It's been three hours, and all you've done is magically translate a bunch of books and throw a hissy fit befitting someone Glacia's age." Looking up from his own book and shooting his baby brother a cheeky smile, Anthony stated boldly.
"Gao?"
"Yes, yes, you're still the cutest Glacia," he said while petting the floof who was beside him instead of Aoni, since it was a hazard zone for flying books.
"Sigh, you wouldn't understand even if I told you," Aoni grumbled while sitting up and grabbing a ninth book to skim.
"Oh yeah, the MAGE for sure wouldn't have any idea about all the MAGE stuff you've been sifting through this whole time."
"For fuck sake, fine, I need a method of containing or storing the Energia I siphon from the formation, so unless you have something to help, keep your trap shut." He snapped with a rolled upper lip like an angry dog.
"…"
"What…"
"Mana Accumulator, that's what you're looking for."
"Mana-what-now?"
"That's what Elves call Energia, Mana, a common FACT in the brain of your oh-so-stupid Eldest brother; let me guess, this entire time you've been looking up power sources for artifacts, well, news flash, it wouldn't translate out the same way. In Elvish, it would be called a Conductive Accumulator of Mystical Mana." Having said his part, Ant went back to his book, leaving Aoni stunned and stupid this time because he had carelessly glazed over such a thing dozens of times.
In all honesty, it wasn't his fault because there were often chunks of information that didn't really translate well, words out of place, or things that simply made zero sense. So Aoni, being hyper-focused on certain Keywords, had mistakenly overlooked the very thing he was searching for, believing it just to be another piece of tech used in many of the blueprints.

'You…knew all along, didn't you?' Moving on autopilot, Aoni's hand quickly located the book in question while diverting all his frustration to that chat box in the form of a piercing glare. fɾeeweɓnѳveɭ.com

Feeling his blood pressure spiking due to rage and embarrassment, Aoni flipped to the page and began reading.

'10 drained Low-Grade Crystals and a Collection of Basic Runes…A Grade-1 Conductive Accumulator of Mystical Mana will be able to house Energia in specific ratios ranging from Grade-1 to Grade-3…'
'So basically, I just need to make one, boost it the fuck up with points, and I'm good to go?'
| Incorrect, the Host will need more than one Accumulator |
