Mated to the Mad Lord-Chapter 253: Bring her
Chapter 253: Bring her
He was barely done speaking when Magnus erupted in anger, jumping to his feet as Grainger had previously done, going as far as to bang his fists on the table hard enough to leave a dent as he snapped.
"HOW DARE YOU! DO YOU THINK WE ARE SO WEAK THAT WE WOULD ALLOW YOU TO DO AS YOU PLEASE!!" The thought that Eldric would kill William so openly, without any fear of the consequences, infuriated him enough for his eyes to faintly glow, showing that he was fully prepared to shift and was seconds away from doing so.
Grainger didn’t speak, but the fury in his eyes said enough as he sat in his seat, prepared to back Magnus up the moment a fight erupted—one that wouldn’t end until Magnus was dead.
"I AGREE! As much as it pains me to agree with Magnus, you deserve to die for what you—" But Harriet was still speaking, voicing her piece, when Eldric brought out a folder he had brought with him, tossing it onto the table in front of him.
Unfazed by the looks directed his way, he gestured for them to pick up the folder and look through it.
With a frown still etched on her face, Harriet was the first to do so. Just like before, her eyes widened in shock and horror as she read through and flipped through the documents inside.
"Is this real?" she gasped, even though it was clear that her eyes found it hard not to believe what she read.
Grainger and Magnus were too impatient to wait. They also grabbed one of the papers from the large folder in the center of the table, their anger slowly quenched the more they read, even as their eyes grew to twice their original size.
"What the—" Magnus gasped, even as Grainger cursed out loud. "Bastard!!"
Bella was taken aback by the complete shift in direction. Even though she would have normally waited for it to be passed to her, she stood up and stretched out her hand to grab one of the papers from the folder. Her hands trembled ever so slightly as she held a document along with gory pictures that made her scalp tingle in shock, bafflement, and repulsion.
"THIS..." she gasped, struggling to complete the words that were at the tip of her tongue. "THIS IS INHUMANE!" she exclaimed, having already forgotten whatever Eldric had done as she focused instead on the new evidence in front of her that showed William deserved much worse.
"How...how could he do such a thing?"
Looking at all their astonished expressions, Eldric had the strong urge to smile or even chuckle out loud to himself, but he didn’t dare to. Instead, he tossed out another folder and began to speak.
"As you all know, my daughter had been kidnapped at a bar, and all the innocent people, including werewolves, were killed. Only to find out that William was behind it. Not only that...but he had also impregnated my daughter!" freёwebnoѵel.com
"Forcefully!" he enunciated, making it clear that a kidnapped person could never give consent.
"I admit I acted out of line, but William deserved everything that happened to him. He might seem like a good person on the surface, but he’s nothing but a snake!" Eldric continued with a serious expression on his face.
He had compiled the folders himself, placing the doctored ones on top before inserting the milder pictures he had managed to obtain of William torturing people in between them. Of course, compared to what he had done, it was much milder, but the blood was just as red. He wasn’t surprised to see all of them focus on that as he inwardly beamed to himself.
"Arranging a guardian in advance...it was clearly his plan from the start to use my daughter!" Eldric added, even as he slowly got to his feet with a pleading expression on his face. "...My daughter is still in William’s house, and who knows all the things they have done to her!" he said, pointing at Fervor as he spoke. "I just wanted to...to get her back!" His voice broke just the tiniest bit to show weakness, but in a way that wouldn’t undermine his strength.
Even Lady Bella, who sat to the side, had been immensely shocked, her worldview of William shattered. When she suddenly heard Eldric say words that shocked her even further, she shifted her gaze to Fervor with a deep frown on her face, one filled with the urge to see justice carried out to the fullest as she opened her mouth to speak first.
"Fiona! We need to see Fiona and confirm with our own ears that she isn’t captive!" she said, even though the anger in her eyes couldn’t be dulled. If indeed she was pregnant with William’s child after being taken by him, then how could it possibly be something she wanted?
Lady Harriet also nodded in agreement, anger blazing in her eyes as she stared at Fervor and spoke. "If Fiona so much as agrees to have been kidnapped by William and you...then you will be tried, and your status as Guardian immediately revoked!" she said, voicing words that Grainger and Magnus instantly agreed to with fierce looks on their faces.
Magnus beamed to himself about the last clause Harriet had added, even as Eldric tried hard not to show his glee for the same reason, especially since the moment Fervor was out of the way and Fiona was his, William’s district would instantly belong to him, along with William’s heir, who would, of course, grow old enough to die.
Who else can become the Werewolf King but me? he thought to himself, a hint of a smile lingering at the edge of his lips, which only dulled when Fervor instantly opened his mouth to speak the moment Harriet was done.
"Of course! If you’d like to talk to her, I can bring her over anytime you want!" Fervor responded, his gaze flickering to Eldric, who met it with a cold and cruel glint that only he could see as Eldric opened his mouth to respond.
"Then you won’t mind bringing her here now!" Eldric said in a fierce tone that left no room for argument as he turned to look at the others for support, who didn’t hesitate to give it.
