Chapter 267: Tossed

Glancing back at Uva, who was still spitting out blood but no longer as much as before, Violet couldn’t hide her shock.

"You!! You could have killed her!" Violet said, reaching out to try and pull the cloak up over his head, only for her hand to be stopped midway before she could do so.

Even more surprised, she saw Cain raise her hand to his lips instead, planting a kiss over it as he spoke to Henry, all the while holding Violet’s gaze.

"You may leave. Send everyone out of the mansion," Cain ordered. Henry, who had instantly lowered his head the moment Cain woke up and reacted, knelt down before responding.

"Yes, my lord!" Knowing better than to say or do anything else, Henry understood that although Cain had an easygoing expression on his face, it was quite clear that he was more than furious from the way he had flung Uva to the side without any remorse.

Henry had just turned around to leave, with all the other guards reacting by following him, having also gotten on one knee the moment Henry did as he spoke to Cain.

But Henry had just turned to leave when Violet immediately began to speak, a wary look in her eye as she stared into Cain’s eyes. She wasn’t the least bit happy by what she saw there, considering the fact that while one of his eyes was golden brown, the other was a complete, bloody red.

"Are—are you alright?" she asked, unable to help but stutter a little as she continued to stare into his eyes, even as he stared back at her with the same intensity that shocked her beyond words.

Even more taken aback, she heard him suddenly chuckle in response just before he heaved her up in a way that gave her no choice but to wrap her legs around his waist to prevent herself from falling.

His still very naked body and waist.

Instead of hearing a response to her question, Violet heard him say something completely different as he headed into their main room with the broken-down entryway, his bare feet crunching against the broken cement pieces of the walls.

"I’m surprised you didn’t decide to run off! That’s definitely something I didn’t expect," he said. Violet slowly began to relax, seeing as how she hadn’t done anything to him as far as she knew, which meant there was no reason for him to hurt her.

...But that’s if he’s completely back to himself! she thought, recalling the personality that had broken her legs and had been willing to rip her head off the longer she spoke.

"Are you okay?" he asked her, but at that point, all Violet wanted to do was get down and at least put some distance between them.

"I’m good! I’m very good!" Violet responded, only to feel Cain’s gaze on her face intensify even more, a fleeting smile crossing his lips just before he gently looked away to stare at the broken pieces of the bed in the room.

"I broke the bed?" he asked in a low tone, almost like he couldn’t seem to remember how he could have possibly done such a thing.

But Violet had just opened her mouth to speak when what he said next not only shut her up but made her jerk back like it was the strangest thing she had ever heard in her life.

"Fine...we might as well go ahead and do it on the floor," he said, to which Violet almost choked on air itself as she coughed twice in succession, staring at him like he had grown two heads and no longer concerned about the two fluffy ears on his head.

She wasn’t stupid! She definitely knew what he was talking about, and it didn’t help that she could already feel the hardness of his pulsing member by her thighs from the exact moment he woke up.

"You—you can’t be serious!!" she stuttered, but Cain merely chuckled in response, the two different colors of his eyes another thing that worried her. frёewebnoѵel.ƈo๓

As happy as she was that he was back, at the same time, she couldn’t help but walk on eggshells around him, not knowing if the next second was the moment he exploded and simply craved her blood, enough to decide to bleed it all over the ground.

"Ca-Cain!" she gently said, calling out his name as softly as she could, even as she continued to speak.

"Can we not do that right now? We need to figure out your—" but it wasn’t until she felt her back hit the floor that she realized the person she was speaking to was clearly not listening.

"Ca-Cain..." she called out his name again, only to hear him raise his head from her chest, where his gaze had been, even as his hands slid underneath her shirt, ripping it off with one pull.

She was about to call his name again when she suddenly felt a light tug on her hand, only to feel him pull it all the way between his legs, where he demanded that she touch him.

"Right now, all I want is to be inside of you," he said with such seriousness that Violet couldn’t help but be taken aback, her mouth dropping open, even more so at the heat she felt against her palm and the hardness and size of what she held onto.

Her cheeks reddened enough for her face to be likened to a tomato, even as she tried to pull her hand away, only to feel him press her palm even harder against him just as he lowered his head to kiss her lips.

It was wild and intense, and for the first few minutes, all she could feel was the heat of his tongue and breath against her own lips. The kiss was wild in a way that she hadn’t felt before, and the pleasure his hands brought out of her body as they coursed through her skin made her want to cry out deeply in pleasure.
