Chapter 423: Chapter 194: Having nothing to repay you with, I’ll see you on your way_3
"More, I love it!"
Below the deep sea, the clanging of metal never ceased, and blinding white light pierced through the grey aura of death, unrestrainedly spreading its radiance.
In the surrounding waters, a variety of marine creatures suffered.
Some were cooked by the high temperature and slowly floated to the surface, while others had their flesh stripped away by the deadly aura, leaving their bones to fall to the seabed...
Boom!!
A white light burst through the surface of the sea, dazzling briefly before disappearing without a trace.
Wayne had taken Guy apart, using the Holy Spear to twirl the skeleton’s head in circles, "In Paris, I’m no match for you, but in Windsor, you’ll never beat me. Be smarter next time and don’t waste my time."
While speaking, he stuffed a fist-sized Ruby into his pocket.
He didn’t pick up the White Bone Greatsword; it was already shattered.
The Greatsword itself didn’t have the ability to strip away the deadly aura. It was the Headless Knight’s way of thinking that troubled it, which showed Wayne a clear path—the Headless Knight could do it, so he should be able to as well.
"Thank you, teacher, for the lesson. I have nothing to repay you with, so let me send you on your way!"
The tip of the spear burst into white light, and the Holy Flame burned fiercely. As Wayne’s Magic Power erupted, the temperature instantly exceeded two thousand degrees, turning water into hydrogen and oxygen at the encounter with an open flame...
Boom!!!
Wayne surfaced grimy and disheveled, found his bearings, and sprouted wings to take off into the sky.
One tentacle held the Sealing Book, while another played with the Ruby. The process wasn’t hard, and the result was satisfying—it felt like the Headless Knight intentionally gave him equipment.
Even while at the bottom, he still got slashed; the Headless Knight’s character is really something!
Wayne was deeply moved, touched by a mere skeleton frame. If he had the chance in the future, he would definitely return Yuliya in person.
"Brother, don’t worry, it’s like new, as if it’s barely been used."

Cruise ship.
The first mate, with sailors and maintenance workers, was busily sweating it out in the engine room, and the captain, drenched in sweat, stood on the deck explaining to passengers the reason for the breakdown.
The disappearance of a lifeboat indicated a traitor among them.
Fortunately, the issue was minor. This was a popular route, and the captain assured everyone that they wouldn’t remain at sea for too long—they could expect rescue by noon the next day at the latest.
The cruise ship was fully equipped with amenities, plenty of food...
The captain went on and on about many things but carefully avoided mentioning the reason behind the traitor’s sabotage on the engine.
This was a slippery slope better left untouched; delve too deep and the clever passengers might soon associate it with pirates. In the ensuing chaos, it was highly possible that the passengers, losing their sanity, would throw him, the captain, into the sea.
Wayne peeked out, took a small bite of a melon, and as he walked through the corridor, was blocked by Veronica.
"What are you doing here, not joining in the excitement?"
Wayne, moved, replied, "I knew it, you were worried about me, waiting here just for me, right?"
Seeing Wayne’s ragged and disheveled appearance, Veronica couldn’t help but feel a bit distressed, but pride hid true feelings, and expecting her to speak the truth was out of the question.
Plus, Wayne’s annoying mouth successfully ignited her temper, leading to sarcastic retorts on the spot, "Seeing how confident you are, I thought you were more formidable, but this is it? You got beaten until your clothes were gone."
"There are many people over there, four Golden Mages, a Legend, I’m already amazing for coming back alive." Wayne bluffed effortlessly.
Veronica didn’t believe it and frowned, "What exactly happened, are you badly hurt?"
"It’s nothing serious, just a minor injury; I’ll be fine after some sleep."
Wayne waved his hand, pointing to his leg, "It’s just that my leg hurts a bit. If you don’t mind, you could help me rub it."
"I do mind."
"Then forget it, I’ll go find the secretary; she definitely won’t mind."
"..."
Veronica was infuriated, she pushed Wayne against the hallway wall and glanced at the Sealing Book wrapped in tattered clothes, "Not a single word of truth in your mouth, what’s this then?"
Wayne didn’t speak, Veronica tried to snatch it but failed.
"Bastard, I’m a Dragon Blood Mage, not some pampered little miss, why won’t you let me see?" Veronica was supremely annoyed. It was the same with Austin, and now Wayne, all the while they claimed it was for her own good, yet treated her like a child.

"Just bear with it for now, you’re still growing. Once you become a Golden Mage, I’ll tell you," Wayne said, rubbing Veronica’s head and heading towards his cabin, "My legs are killing me; I need to find the secretary to loosen up, she’s really good with her hands, you want to try?"
With that, his steady steps suddenly turned into a limp, utterly infuriating.
Veronica was livid, she kicked up, aiming to send the scum of society into the sea, but didn’t kick out, and though she wanted to say something like leave it to me, she felt embarrassed to open her mouth.
Tsundere + blonde, a total loser.
————
The scene shifts to the cabin’s large bed.
Wayne wrapped a towel around his waist and sprawled out on the bed, with Mona kneeling beside him, gently massaging his leg muscles.
The scum of society was so comfortable he couldn’t help but hum.
Next to him, the inebriated Villey snuggled closer, her blonde head with built-in navigation accurately found its way to Wayne’s side and she clung onto his arm, falling soundly asleep.
It wasn’t exactly a case of Wayne being sandwiched between two, but he certainly knew how to please both sides, much to Veronica’s grinding teeth, wishing she could immediately confiscate his ’tools of the crime’ with scissors.
There’s a saying that flies don’t bite seamless eggs, the scum of society deserves to die, and the shameless Mona and Villey deserved death as well.
Veronica couldn’t understand what was so good about a man with two legs that could be found anywhere on the street, why they had to fawn over him so eagerly. Why couldn’t they learn from Chris?
If her senior was here, she definitely wouldn’t act like this!
Thump thump thump!
The door was knocked on.
Wayne didn’t move an inch, Mona continued massaging attentively, and Villey slept soundly.
Veronica looked left and right, realizing she was the outsider. She stormed over to the door and yanked it open.
What she saw were looks that retained charm + youthful beauty; ordinary if seen separately, but together they were top-notch.
You have women on the outside too?
And they’re mother and daughter?!
Veronica was completely thrown off, her eyes shining as she stared at the aunt and niece, words hissing through her teeth, "Who are you looking for?"
"Uh..."
Denise hid behind her aunt, scared, while Sandy’s eyelids twitched, showing a smile that was both elegant and polite, "We’re looking for Sir Wayne. The cruise ship has anchored, and we need to discuss tomorrow’s schedule."
"He’s dead," Veronica replied irritably.
Sandy’s smile remained unchanged; her sidelong glance surveyed the cabin and saw Wayne amidst the makeup, realizing that a party was in full swing inside. Her eyelids twitched again, "Sir Wayne seems to be very busy, I won’t disturb him then, I’ll come back tomorrow."
Shameless, you want to come back tomorrow?
You think you’re lining up here?
Veronica glared at the retreating figures of the aunt and niece, slamming the door shut with a bang. The last time she saw such desperate attempts at getting close was in Mister Lando’s office.
My heart is so tired, I don’t want to say anything, just longing for the moonlight.
"If only my senior were here..."
Veronica was in a gloomy mood, resolved that if there was a next time, she definitely wouldn’t tell Villey, she would surely bring Chris along.
