His shaky raspy voice along with Zenith’s heavy long breaths falling over his broad back paused Kylian a little, as he was squirming with agitation from hearing his confession. Just the thoughts of multiple people climbing onto Zenith’s bed was riling his vexation, and hearing Zenith admit those allegations he had heard from Aiden was further triggering him. But now, his voice didn’t reflect any amount of confidence, rather Zenith sounded very vulnerable and anxious to him, but every word he spoke firmly portrayed the sincerity he wanted to show before Kylian.

He didn’t try to push Zenith away from him and rather let him hold tightly from behind, while bearing a blank glaze towards the window, Kylian muttered, "Do you want me to believe in you?"

"Y-Yes...That’s why, I want to open up about my dark side which I had never done to anybody else." Zenith’s voice trembled a little along with his hands which were holding Kylian by his waist.

He seemed visibly nervous, but to provide him a bit of relief, Kylian clenched his hold tight on his hands this time and uttered in a confident tone, "Go on...tell me whatever you want to. I will be right here to hear you, no matter how long it takes."

A soft sad smile curved his lips after Zenith heard Kylian’s bold assurance. In his heart, he instantly felt this was something Zenith had been searching for his whole life after losing his mother. As if he wanted someone to hold his hand tight to give him the courage to open the deep wounds he had hidden behind a cold heart.

Snuggling closer to him, Zenith inhaled a heavy breath after he continued, "To cope with the withdrawal symptoms of those sleeping pills, after searching countless methods...I found sex as the most effective one which would give me at least a few hours of sleep after exhaustion. No matter how many people I have held until now, except omegas... I never bothered to care for their condition after they spent a rough night with me.

"I have never slept with the same people twice...and strangely, I never lacked finding a partner for the night because there were people who were always hovering around me like fruit flies, seeking a chance to use my name and reputation for their benefit. All of them were scum...but I admit, I was also a much bigger asshole than them.

"However, to cover my sinful deeds, my father always rewarded all those partners’ families with handsome amounts to keep their mouths shut and never file a defamation lawsuit against me.

Some of the parents were evil enough to demand long-term business cooperation...and my father went along with their whims, just so that he could use me as a pawn for taking over his business empire later onwards.

"I know...all of them have used me, including my own father. Though I don’t wanna act like a victim before you after what I have done, but I really wanted to say all these stuff I had buried in my heart for a long time."

Kylian quietly listened to him without uttering a word, however, deep inside his heart ached with a bittersweet feeling, as if he could vividly feel the pain that Zenith confessed through his answer. A brief anticipating silence strived between them, making Zenith’s heartbeat race faster as he was starting to get nervous, wondering how Kylian would react. He wasn’t brazen enough to ask him about considering his past debauchery side as nothing, but he feared a possibility, wondering what if Kylian tried to push him away now?

But despite his assumptions, Kylian quietly exhaled another big sigh before he murmured in a genial tone, "My Mom used to take sleeping pills when I was still a toddler. At that time I was too young to understand why would she take those medicines daily without a miss...but one day, losing before my stubbornness, she told me...the dark demons inside her head wouldn’t let her sleep for a brief moment if she fails to take the medicine even for a day.

"As I said, I was very naive to realize what she meant by that...but I guess, now I realize, my Mom was also fighting her inner demons by relying on those sleeping pills, just like what you did, Zenith."

As if a wave of emotional turbulence had hit his heart, Zenith couldn’t stop himself from getting teary as he urged in a crooked low voice, "Don’t you disgust me now? Don’t you think...I am a slut?"

"I can’t deny that I am definitely agitated to hear about your multiple partners...but to label you as a slut when you were also a victim of this horrible world, I am not insane like that, Zenith." Kylian softly patted on his clasp of hands which were holding him tightly from behind, followed by a faint smile curving his lips, "But...feel free to tell me anything more if you want to..."

With the glistening tears in his rolled dark eyes, Zenith couldn’t stop a drop of tear streaming down the corner of his left eye before he nestled closer to Kylian. Resting his forehead on his warm back shoulder, he spoke in a low, shaky voice, "I lost my Mom 13 years ago. She was the most lovable person...and to me...she was my whole world. I was content to have her by my side, and thought life would be always jovial like this...but I was wrong. She couldn’t bear the heartache when my Alpha father found his fated mate in a young Omega, pushing my mother into the abyss of betrayal."

His voice shook a little which made Kylian realize Zenith was sobbing painfully. He was confused and tried to turn around towards him, but Zenith held onto him tight from behind, to make sure he wouldn’t see him in that state.

"Hey, let me turn arou–"

"No...I won’t be able to speak if I look into your eyes now. Please...hear me out first." Zenith pleaded in his low somber voice, making Kylian unable to refuse him.
