Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster-Chapter 121: Final Agreement, Send-Off, And Quest Completion
The black-haired woman, Aria, flinched, her eyes trembling. "What are you?"
"Rael," he replied plainly, dodging her question. "You don't need to know more at the moment. I just need a yes or no answer. When I come back, will your land be my enemy?"
"No...?" Aria replied, tilting her head. "We've only come here since the spider was making moves in the area. I thought you were one of the people it had under its control."
Seryn scoffed from the side, flashing Rael an 'I told you so' glance.
But of course, Rael ignored it and nodded at Aria.
"Well, as you can see, we aren't," Rael said.
"Mhm..." Aria simply hummed as she glanced around.
Her soldiers were startled by what had just happened. After all, Rael had literally invaded their bodies with ease.
"We aren't tyrants," Aria said. "People like to think of us that way due to the amount of power we wield. But I can assure you, we don't recklessly make enemies, and especially not with you."
"It's a wise choice," Rael chuckled.
It was a bit simpler than he thought. The way Caedia had painted the Scorched Lands made it seem like they were some tyrant monarchs who were keeping the Plague Lands in check.
And while he didn't have the full story, his Primordial Sight assured him she wasn't lying.
"Say... Rael," Aria muttered. "You mentioned coming back to this land at a later date. What do you mean by that?"

Rael grinned. "I obviously mean that I can leave the Depths."
The moment his words fell, silence hung in the air, which was quickly interrupted by Aria's giggle.
"You're funny."
"And you think I'm joking," Rael sighed. "Whether you want to believe me or not, I don't exactly care. Just know that when I'm back, I will be trying to establish some grounds in this world, and I'll require your support to do so."
"Seriously?" Aria's eyes widened. "You're going to try playing the political hero? All the spots are already filled in that regard."
"Then I'll simply carve out a new spot," Rael stated firmly. "I have my ways, and those ways bring out the best result in the given situation. If you have your doubts and want to make an enemy out of me, then be my guest."
"I doubt I need to tell you how hard it is to take a spot that already belongs to someone," Aria said flatly.
Rael shrugged. "Obviously. But I have time to prepare until then."
Aria skeptically narrowed her eyes and suddenly tapped the air a few times. Despite his confusion, he let her continue.
A few seconds later, she spoke.
"I talked to my father. He said he wants to meet you, and then he'll decide whether he wants to give his support or not."
"I'll visit when I come back then," Rael said flatly, and Aria nodded.
At the same time, he got an idea, so he tapped the air several times, and soon...
<Friend Request Sent!>
Aria tilted her head, puzzled. But she still accepted.
<Friend Request Accepted! New Friend: Aria Draconia>
<Total Friends: 3>
Then, he turned to Seryn, who was dozing off, and did the same.
<Friend Request Sent!>
He shared the same confusion as Aria, but Rael simply gestured for him to accept, and of course, he did.
<Friend Request Accepted! New Friend: Bastian Elowen Arcturus Seryn Thorne>
<Total Friends: 4>
"Aria, I have a request," Rael said as he walked over to Seryn and placed a hand on his shoulder. "Can you take this guy with you?"
Before she could answer, Rael suddenly took out the two key fragments he had and placed them in Seryn's palm.
"Put it in your inventory. You'll need it."
Aria froze. "Is that...?"
"It is," Rael replied with a smile and pushed Seryn toward Aria and the rest of the soldiers.
"I'll be going now, and I suggest all of you leave as well," Rael stated and began walking in a random direction.
"Rael." Seryn called out. "Since this is the last location, I guess I have to pay up, don't I?"
"Nah," Rael replied, shaking his head. "Keep it. I bet you're going to need it."
Seryn chuckled and turned around.
Rael considered him a friend, and Seryn probably felt the same.
Nonetheless, he didn't want to make this emotional since they'd see each other soon enough.
As for Aria, she flashed him several small glances, but since he was acting like some rebellious child, she simply ignored him, got on her horse, and began riding off.
Since a few soldiers had died earlier, there were several free horses, so Seryn took one for himself.
Soon, they were just dots in the distance, and finally, Rael was all alone again.
But not for long, as he glanced to the side, where dozens of crystal constructs were lurking.
<(x170) Zoomba [Level 35]>
There were 766 of them originally... Rael thought with a frown and gestured for all of them to get closer.
When they finally gathered around him, he spoke.
"You've all worked hard, and I'm not sure if this will work... but those of you who wish to stop fighting, step up. I'll deconstruct you so you may rest."
Silence ensued for a few moments, and he honestly thought that this was just some useless passing thought.
But to his surprise, a few stepped up, which soon turned to tens, and then nearly 100 constructs.
"I see..." Rael smiled as he walked over to each one and placed a hand on their crystal heads, painlessly deconstructing them into mana and back into his body.
And after a few minutes, he was done.
<(x90) Zoomba [Level 35] has been deconstructed!>
"As for the remaining 80 of you, I have a task," Rael said, taking out his map of the Plague Lands and placing it on the ground. "To the right of us, there are the Ruins of Oblivar. I want you all to begin renovations. It's a big ask, I know. But I'm thinking of setting up my base of operations there."
He half-expected the remaining constructs to ask to be deconstructed, but instead, every single one of them saluted, and without even waiting for the go-ahead, dashed toward the Ruins of Oblivar.
I'll definitely need to work on my construct anatomy... Rael thought, and finally, it was time.
He took out the fruit and swiftly ate it.
<Ember of Life Consumed!>
<+1,000 Constitution>
Immediately, several dozen popups appeared in front of his eyes.
<Journal Updated!>

However, just as he was about to collect his rewards, he heard a few steps to the side, followed by the sound of clapping.
As Rael turned toward the sound, he saw a tall man with dark green hair that was nearly as long as his own. His eyes were black, and on his cheek, there was a long thin scar, almost as if it was made by a sword or dagger.
Of course, it was none other than the Beast, Zarkul.
"Bravo, Rael Sutekh," Zarkul said in a deep voice. "You've gone above and beyond my expectations."
Zarkul narrowed his eyes and flashed a grin before walking over and tapping Rael on the forehead.
"I suppose you deserve a little reward for that?"
<Ding!>
<You've been granted...>
