Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster-Chapter 123: Return, and Zafira
A blue portal suddenly appeared in front of Rael.
It wasn't massive by any means, basically the size of a double door.
Nonetheless, Rael took a step forward, and in the very next moment, his vision went dark.
After just a few minutes, his vision finally returned.
He found himself sitting on the familiar toilet seat, which he totally didn't customize.
However, it seemed like someone had painted the walls blue and added a whole shower to this place.
Why would you place a shower in a boutique...? Rael thought as he opened the door and stepped out of the bathroom.
It was currently nighttime, so the streets were obviously quiet—same as his boutique.
Despite the quiet, he noticed Dirt Vader and Dust Trooper were still mopping the floor, though he could easily tell they were bored.
And then there was Xavier, who was sleeping on the desk.
Rael's brows twitched, and he swiftly cleared his throat.
"Hey, I'm back."
The moment he finished those words, the constructs all shot up and walked to him.
Xavier seemed the calmest, while the two cleaning constructs excitedly waved at him, wide smiles on their faces.
In turn, a smile also formed on Rael's face, and he proceeded to do something he should've done from the start.
<Crystal Genesis>

The constructs' bodies glowed for a mere moment as the light traveled to where their lungs were supposed to be, and then to their throats.
Finally, the light dissipated, and each of the constructs looked at each other with confusion.
"Sir, a voice is not necessary for us to proceed with our duties," Xavier stated.
"Come on! Now we don't need to talk in our minds anymore!" Dust Trooper replied. "But hey, look—"
"Silence," Dirt Vader said coldly, raising its crystal arm into the air, and then innocently covering its mouth. "I-I've always wanted to say that..."
"Yeah, you're a bit too in character," Rael remarked with a chuckle as he went over and patted Dirt Vader on the head. "Did anything interesting happen while I was gone?"
"Hmm... indeed," Xavier muttered. "Queen Zafira Sutekh has been coming over to the boutique daily now. She thinks you've died."
Rael tilted his head. "And why exactly is she thinking that?"
Xavier sighed and tapped in the air a couple of times.
In the next moment, a pair of interfaces appeared, which it swiftly showed to Rael.
<Rael Sutekh, The Platinum Overlord has reached 25% HP!>
<Rael Sutekh, The Platinum Overlord has reached 5% HP!>
<Rael Sutekh, The Platinum Overlord has reached 1% HP!>
"So yeah..." Xavier scratched its head. "All of us crystal constructs received the same message, but so did all the people who are in your friends list."
"Uh-huh..." Rael sighed.
Well shit.
He had expected to come back and ask Zafira out on a date. But now, he'd have to spend some time convincing her he was alright.
"Sir, I believe the time is now," Xavier said as it went behind the counter.
"Oh... right," Dust Trooper and Dirt Vader said in unison and began innocently sweeping the floors again.
"First of all, just call me Rael," he said, flashing a puzzled look. "And what do you mean by 'it's time'?"
Xavier shrugged and, with its chin, pointed toward the boutique's door, which suddenly opened.
The moment it did, he saw a single person walk in, yet they weren't even staring in his direction. Instead, they were looking around, inspecting the walls—even the floor—for any specks of dust.
All the while, Rael was stunned.
It was Zafira, and while she seemed the same as usual, there was something a little off about her.
She seemed paranoid, and the smile she usually had on her face was nowhere to be seen.
Her hair seemed slightly disheveled—her casual clothes even more so.
Yet as her lost gaze traveled toward Xavier, she was met with Rael's flustered face.
And just like him, she froze.
Well... this is a little awkward... Rael thought, almost forgetting to breathe.
To his surprise, his two cleaning constructs began circling him and sneakily poking him with their brooms.
And of course, he understood what they wanted him to do, so Rael simply took a deep, shaky breath and stepped forward.
Zafira was still looking at him as though she had seen a ghost. However, once he finally arrived in front of her, without even a single word, Rael embraced her, resting her head on his chest.
She brought her trembling hands up and around his body, and the moment she did, Rael leaned into her ear and whispered.
"I missed you, Zafira."
Immediately, she flinched, gripping the back of his shirt tightly, while also burrowing her face deeper into his chest.

"I'm sorry for worrying you," Rael whispered, gently passing his fingers through her hair and wiping a few dark smudges off her face. "I'm back now, and I'll be staying for a while."
Zafira silently sniffled, and then slowly eased her grip on his shirt, finally separating from him.
Her eyes had been a bright crimson when he first met her, but now, they were a dark crimson.
But the previous paranoid gaze he had seen vanished, replaced with a cute pout as she began tidying her hair up.
Soon, her white hair once again straightened out, and she finally met his gaze.
Rael had a warm smile on his face, and he wanted her to see it. After all, now that he was back, he'd make sure Zafira's life had no more worries.
He reached his hand out and gently interlaced his fingers with hers. Then, he brought her hand up to his face and planted a kiss on the finger where she wore her wedding ring.
"I know no amount of words can make up for all the worry I put you through..." Rael trailed off as he stepped back, yet continued holding Zafira's hand and glancing into her eyes, which were slightly trembling.
"But what do you say I make it up to you with a date?"
