Everyone was immediately made aware of the strange atmosphere and the intangible substance that sipped into their bodies.

They couldn’t control it, their instincts directed them not to resist. This was something that had contributed to the molding of their existence from the very beginning.

At the same time, they couldn’t afford to slow down to investigate the source of this…thing, or what it was doing to them.

They just moved.

Flames burst out beneath Adolf’s paws as he launched himself into the fifth floor from the elevator, leaving a trail of fire behind him.

His form blazed past the pillars in winding patterns.

Following behind him were Orion and Alora.

Orion’s body swelled with strength and ferocity. His limbs tensed and muscles bulged as he ran out. His eyes darted to different areas, looking for both the elevator and signs of the Primordial Lion.

Alora’s limbs moved fast as she traveled extremely fast. Her frost powers were concentrated and stuck too close to her body, she was preparing for an explosive outburst.

On the other side.

Chloe flapped her wings at a hurried pace, anxiety oozing off her body. Even as her body and abilities were being enhanced, her mind was still focused on Kael and what he was looking for.

Kael had already gone far ahead of her, leaving a faint golden trail behind him. Whatever was permeating through this level was being absorbed into his body very fast and she could see it with her naked eyes.

Just when she was thinking she would lose sight of him in the forest of pillars, Kael stopped moving, seemingly having encountered something.

Indeed, Kael had seen something, he saw the elevator some distance away from him to his left. But he also saw some lions rushing in that same direction.

Xu Ying was not far behind them.

*BOOM!*

Kael’s wings shook fiercely as he burst out with newfound power. His blood raged and burned within his veins, he could almost hear his blood rushing like an angry river.

*BA DUMP!*

His heart beat against his chest and the golden essence reacted in return, pulsing out at the same rhythm as his heartbeat.

*BA DUMP!*

Kael opened his mouth and roared out instinctively. His roar was loud, imposing, majestic, and tangibly powerful.

The roar was sudden and took everyone on the fifth floor by surprise.

[DOMINION ROAR]

The roaring technique he had created and named through the lion system.

Chloe suddenly felt her body getting stronger with a five percent increase in her prowess.

Xu Ying and the rest on the other hand felt their strengths drop by ten percent. Xu Ying barely felt anything but the others felt it clearly.

Adolf was rushing through the fifth level like a flaming comet, the elevator was already in sight.

He had heard that roar and felt his power dropping significantly.

Just when he was wondering what was happening, a golden lion slammed into him from the side.

Pain.

Pain that Adolf couldn’t describe, that’s what he felt. Multiple ribs got broken immediately, his mane did absolutely nothing to cushion Kael’s attack.

Alora and Orion were behind Adolf, following closely and racing to the elevator. They had seen a golden figure come out of nowhere and cleared Adolf out of his locomotion.

Adolf’s body hit one of the pillars, bringing him another wave of pain from the other side. He slid to the ground and before his body touched the floor, Kael had already launched himself away and headed straight to the elevator.

Alora and Orion came to a dreadful realization, Kael was too fast.

Alora immediately released all the ice energy she had been storing within her body.

Layers of frost spread out from her position over the floor and on her pillars. The frost spread out fast like an ice bomb had been detonated.

Kael was still accelerating away from Adolf and had not yet reached his top speed so the frost caught up to him fairly quickly.

A wave of ice energy spread through his body, causing him to shiver and his joints to crackle.

A white layer of ice appeared on his fur, threatening to spread and freeze him all over.

Orion, who had been close by was also caught in this frost blast, he was shocked to find that his limbs were frozen and the ice was almost covering his entire body.

He flexed his paws and slashed out but the ice was regenerating faster than he could shatter them.

Did it mean Alora wasn’t aware that he would be caught in the area of this attack? She was definitely aware, she just didn’t care.

Her goal was to slow them down, every one of them.

She had already traversed some distance and reached Kael’s side. Kael flew and she ran.

One gold, one white. They streaked across the marble floor with crushing speed.

Her limbs moved like never before, pushing herself to the limit. Her driving force was her ambition and her desire was soon to be realized.

Kael was moving fast and he was already overtaking her. Alora refused to believe this, she refused to be inferior to Kael, she refused to let Kael take what belonged to her.

Her pristine white fur was stained with red as blood flowed out of her eyes, nose, and mouth. Her blood was immediately frozen upon being exposed to her freezing aura.

Her marble white claws scratched the ground and she bled from her four paws. freeweɓnovēl.coɱ

All the pain she felt didn’t deter her away from her goal.

She was pushing herself to her limits, even going beyond the barrier of her tier. If she continued, she would be severely injured and could even die.

But her desire and ambitions were made clear with this single act of hers.

But in the end, Kael was still a Primordial Lion with superior methods and the necessary ruthlessness.

Kael leaned to his right, doing a spin using his wing to slap Alora down in the process.

The large and powerful wing was like the roof of heaven coming down on Alora. She was already pushing herself to the limits just to enhance her speed, she had little ability to defend against his attack.

The wing slapped her down, causing her body to bounce off the hard floor brutally. Bones fractured and the air was smashed out of her lungs, followed by blood spewing out of her mouth and nose.

Purple lightning appeared around Kael and he increased his speed, instantly leaving Alora behind. She never stood a chance from the beginning.

Kael arrived in front of the elevator, one that was much wider and luxurious looking than the others.

The doors opened and he went in. There was enough space for many more lions to join him in the elevator, but Kael had other plans.

The electric lion with white and yellow fur had appeared next to Alora with a puff of white electricity.

Alora was already getting up, she completely ignored the lion and stared straight at the elevator with bloodshot eyes.

"Wait!" Xu Ying shouted, he had been hesitant to make a move ever since he noticed the strange golden-hued atmosphere.

Kael didn’t listen, he ignored the lions rushing toward the elevator. As soon as the diagram appeared on the green-tinted glass screen, he selected the throne level.

Chloe was not with him as the elevator rose, but he wasn’t worried. What mattered most now was what was waiting at the throne level.

Xu Ying and the rest could only watch helplessly as the elevator rose higher and higher.

"Why didn’t you do anything?" Baba asked Xu Ying. He was confused as to why Xu Ying didn’t just attack. He could have ended the fight quickly.

"If I attacked, it would have pushed Kael and that would have cemented your deaths, Kael has already begun to evolve." As Xu Ying said this, he struggled to remain calm.

Common sense.

"We don’t need the elevator," Alora suddenly mentioned. Not everyone had seen what she had done but they all guessed that Kael was the one who beat her up.

Orion kept quiet, simply assuming that Alora couldn’t afford to consider him when trying to slow Kael down.

Xu Ying’s eyes brightened, "Yes we don’t need the elevator,"

All the runes on his three-meter-tall body lit up and a magical glow spread out from his body to cover the rest of the lions.

The only ones exempt were Chloe and the unconscious Adolf.

They had all noticed Chloe but there were more important things right now to take care of. Even Alora only glanced at her once before refocusing on the matter at hand.

With all of them covered in his magical field, Xu Ying lifted his body off the ground and flew after the elevator. The rest of the lions in his magic field also levitated and followed after him.

Meanwhile, Kael had arrived at the throne level, the highest level of the Iron Blood Pyramid.

The moment the doors of the elevator slid away, Kael’s eyes locked on the very object he was looking for.

Noel’s Heavenly Beacon.
