Chapter 108: CH 108: Voices (MUC)
(Make up Chapter for Monday)
****
Dave stood alone in the darkness, the fog swirling around him like a living entity. The only sound was the soft mist clinging to his skin, and the distant hum of... something. Then, a low, gravelly voice echoed through the fog, sending shivers down Dave’s spine.
"Things are becoming so slow," the voice murmured, seemingly to itself. "I need one of those figureheads to put things into motion. So who should it be? The Villain kid, with his grandiose plans and predictable tantrums? The beast boy, with his brute strength and limited wit? Or the perverted idiot, with his... unique perspective on the world?"
Dave spun around, trying to pinpoint the source of the voice, but it seemed to be coming from all directions at once. He took a step forward, his footfalls muffled by the fog. "Hello?" he called out, but the voice had fallen silent.
The fog seemed to grow thicker, more oppressive, as Dave waited for a response. Suddenly, it began to dissipate, revealing not a glimpse of the surroundings, but an inky blackness that seemed to swallow all light. Dave’s eyes strained to adjust, but he might as well have been staring into a void.
Then, a soft, melodious voice pierced the darkness. "Dave."
Dave’s head jerked towards the sound, but he couldn’t see anyone. "Who are you?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
The voice called out again, "Dave," this time slightly farther away. It was like the speaker was moving, fading into the distance. Dave took a step forward, then another, his heart racing with anticipation.
"Wait, who are you?" he asked again, but before he could get an answer, the darkness began to recede, like a curtain lifting on a stage. The air seemed to brighten, and Dave felt himself being pulled back, away from the mysterious world he’d stumbled into.
He blinked, and suddenly he found himself in his bed, gasping for air, his heart was still racing from the vivid dream. But as he looked around his familiar surroundings, he couldn’t shake the feeling that something was off, that the voice was still out there, calling his name.
Dave sat up in bed, rubbing the sleep from his eyes, and then, he gazed at the two women sleeping beside him. Aurora’s gentle snores harmonized with Eldora’s soft breathing, creating a soothing melody that filled the room.
His gaze lingered on their peaceful faces before he let out a deep sigh and ran a hand through his hair. "What was that all about?" he muttered to himself, the foggy memories of his dream still swirling in his mind.
Just as he was about to swing his legs over the side of the bed, a translucent screen has popped up above his face. The system’s notification flashed, reminding him that he had pending rewards to claim. He focused on the interface, and the details of his rewards unfolded before him.

Right after checking the energy points he obtained, another message had them popped up.
[You have a pending quest]
[Add Tasha to your harem]
[Reward: ???]
Dave wasn’t planning to do that anytime soon. At least not after he’s done punishing her for all the crimes she committed, especially for almost killing him and his friends.
As for the two other girls; the twins. He hadn’t hesitated into adding them into his harem as his wives. Once they’re awake, he will inform them about this, and he also plan on introducing them to the rest of his wives later on.
[You have successfully added Aurora and Eldora to the Cock Grubber Harem]
[You now have five harem wives]
[Your harem has now leveled up >> Level 2]
[You can see the location of any of your harem wives and they can also see yours if you wish them to]
With all of his rewards fully acknowledged, Dave had decided to set out, as he had a couple of more things to deal with. He planted his feet firmly on the ground as he reached for his clothes that had been tossed to the ground and started putting it on.
As he began to dress, his mind turned to the tasks ahead. There were supplies to gather, and food to procure for those at the casino base. He need to find a restaurant or supermarket where he could find them, and maybe jackie might be able to help him out.
He took out of the snacks that had been brought by Eldora, it had helped him regain some of his energy as he prepared for the rest of the day’s tasks.
As soon as he finished dressing, he smoothed out his clothes, and started heading towards the door, ready to face whatever the day had in store for him.
With a quiet glance at the sleeping women, Dave slipped out of the room, the door sliding shut behind him with a soft click. The bright lights of the corridor greeted him, and he set off towards the exit, his footsteps echoing through the stillness.
As Dave stepped out of the room, he nearly collided with Jackie, who stood by the entrance, his head hung low in a mixture of reverence and gratitude.
Dave paused, taken aback by the sudden encounter, unsure of how to react. The silence between them was palpable, punctuated only by the soft hum of the corridor’s ambient lighting.
Then, without warning, Jackie spoke, his voice low and measured. "I heard my sisters... lost to you." The words hung in the air, laced with an unspoken weight.
Jackie’s gaze rose, his eyes locking onto Dave’s, and he grasped Dave’s hands in a firm grip. "Thank you, leader. Thank you for keeping your promise and sparing them. I don’t care if you make them your wives; just knowing that they’re safe and alive... it means everything to me."
Dave’s eyes widened slightly as Jackie bowed his head, his shoulders moving slightly with emotion. A nervous chuckle escaped his lips as he tried to defuse the intensity of the moment.
"I wasn’t going to harm them in the first place," he said, attempting to downplay the situation. "They’re your sisters, after all. And I’m not an evil person."
Jackie’s head jerked up, his face alight with fervent gratitude, before he bowed again, his words tumbling out in a heartfelt torrent. "Thank you, leader! You’re a good person! I’m so grateful!"
Dave’s chuckle grew more awkward as he realized Jackie’s determination to thank him was only intensifying. "Alright, that’s okay," he said, gently trying to calm Jackie down. "You’ll wake your sisters up at this rate."
With a gentle nudge, Dave encouraged Jackie to stand up and walk with him. "Let’s talk; I have some things to discuss with you. And I have a request to ask."
"Sure, anything for the leader." Jackie said.
As they strolled side by side, Dave continued, his tone measured. "I need you to know something, I’m not an evil person, and I’m not a good person either. So, don’t call me a good person."
Jackie’s gaze met Dave’s, a mixture of understanding and curiosity reflected in his eyes, as he nodded in acceptance.
